Really cool location. Everything looks great, there is indoor seating and outdoor seating. Clean look to it. This is the first time I have been to a Cava location and the food was great. I got the chicken and rice bowl and it was so great. Lots of flavor and it was really good. The service was fast and easy, got my food in less than a couple minutes. What a bummer. My husband and I were glad to see a Cava move to their Aliso Viejo spot. Decided to order online for pick up. One of my chicken bowls was almost $18 and there was barely any chicken. There were 3 medium/small pieces and the rest were tiny morsels I had to go digging for... for $18? My husband got a bowl with steak and had a bunch of uncooked rice. Everything is good and I could not get enough of the seasoned pita chips that goes great with whatever bowl you create. I over paid. They under delivered. I won't be going back. The food is ok but the service was so disappointing that I didn't enjoy it. Watching my bowl make its way down the line, I could see the lack of training as each person was void of concern and human interaction. When I asked why the other bowls were filled to the brim and why mine wasn't, they pointed to the lettuce, making an excuse rather than taking the opportunity to make me happy. At the register it was clear I was disappointed. Like robots, they just kept shuffling. This is why people go to Chipotle instead. As for the ambience, it was of no concern. I should have walked out and left it all behind. We really need to stop allowing ourselves to be treated so poorly and still be willing to pay. read more

Generally speaking, I prefer CAVA over Luna Grill and is a good alternative to Chipotle. While the team at this location is friendly and attentive, the few times I've been has led to disappointment. Most recently, the bowl I ordered included hard/frozen corn salsa and the lentils were undercooked and extremely hard. Hopefully, our 'home location' pulls it together. We ordered a bowl and pita, the girl helping us did not look happy to be there and was just plopping our food around. I still enjoyed my greens/grain bowl but my husband was not happy with his chicken avocado pita because the way the ingredients were plopped on and not spread out. So with every bite, he only tasted that particular ingredient. The avocado was also not ripe and he had to throw out as it was hard to eat and tasteless. When paying for the food prepared at the end, the guy also didn't seem happy to be there. He asked if we wanted a receipt which I said yes but didn't give it to us. My husband had to ask if he should take it from the register and he said "well you can if you want". Overall - poor customer service and okay food. read more

If zero stars was an option, I would. There are not a lot of healthy options here... they cook chicken, falafels, & pita chips in canola oil. That alone is a reason why I wont be back, not to mention that they are very hit or miss with the staffing & inventory. its a work in progress, maybe next year ill try it again if they can change up the unhealthy oils they cook with. read more

I'm a big fan of the food here, but it feels like this location is not as good as many of the others. The Romain lettuce most of the time is good, but sometimes is wilted. The rice that I got today, an hour after opening, was burnt. But the consistent downfall to this location is the service. The staff working there seems to be inconvenienced by the patrons coming into order. If you ask for an item, you get "uh huh" at best. read more

I love Cava but the customer service here is very bad. No smiles from any of the employees and they are not polite they seem absolutely miserable. I was smiling and saying thank you and they were just rude. They don't explain anything and if I said something wrong they say "that's a sauce not a side" okay? Maybe explain what the sides are then? They SKIMP on the meat as well, they gave me 3 meatballs in my bowl and god forbid you ask for a couple more it will cost you an arm and a leg and they will look annoyed. I'll drive farther to go to a different Cava because it was a bad experience. They also don't have seat covers for the toilet which is a huge inconvenience. Anyways all in all the employees at this location all need a lesson or two on customer service or management just needs to reconsider who they hired. read more

Hmm I was excited about Cava, went in for the first time and unfortunately the experience was less than pleasant. I got half brown rice and half greens as the base and the brown rice was uncooked or dried out. Also I got half lamb half chicken and it's $20 for a bowl, I guess lamb is that expensive. read more
