I normally love CAVA, but this location is very messy. None of the tables were wiped down, the floors weren't swept (lots of trash) and bathrooms are very dirty workers also seemed annoyed when I asked for bathroom code. Not sure if it's just that I caught this place on a bad day, but overall not the best location. Food was still good though. read more

We visited this location February 16, 2025 around 5:00 pm. There was no ice, restrooms were extremely dirty, tables were not cleaned, and trash was overflowing. The food was good but we couldn't wait to leave. None of the workers ever left the counter area and there were 8 employees. read more

I also like their soft drinks and lemonade/iced tea options. Make sure to try their lamb meatballs, one of my favorite. CAVA is Chipotle's Mediterranean cousin that lives next door and I'm all for it. The process is fast, simple, and the ingredients are so fresh. You start off with the base being a choice of greens, grains, or the greens + grains. Most people opt for the greens + grains bowl, and then you choose what type of greens. Arugula is the absolute BEST imo and it literally tastes like they just picked it and washed it. Then you get your protein, the thicker sauces, the other veggie add-ons, and finally the thin sauces. This is what I recommend for the newbies: - Chicken or meatball for protein (vegetarian options also available) - Roasted Red Pepper hummus (ask on the side) - Crazy Feta (ask on the side) - Harrisa*** (a must if you like spice, ask on the side) - Cauliflower quinoa tabbouleh - Zucchini - Picked onions - The tomato/cucumber salad - Crumbled feta - half Lemon Tahini sauce - half Sriracha Greek Yogurt sauce It can get kinda saucey, so I recommend getting some of the sauces on the side and eating a little bit of each with every bite. The add-on section can be overwhelming if you aren't familiar with Mediterranean food, so I sometimes just ask for "the whole middle row" lol. The soups are also amazing and their teas and juices are worth the extra few bucks. The bowl on its own ends up being ~$10, which is not a bad price to pay at all for the quality of the ingredients. I LOVE Cava! I love the build your own bowl feature, and the ability to make a ton of customizations -- from selecting two proteins (half and half) to choosing greens and grains to adding three kinds of dips and almost unlimited toppings. This location was big and not too busy on a weeknight around 6:00-6:30pm but I noticed the line got longer while we were dining. They have nice cups for complimentary water and good crushed ice. My only complaint was that they did not give us the complimentary pita -- I guess we would have had to ask for it, but I feel like they should offer it at the end similar to how Sweetgreen asks if you want bread. Still, I'll happily return and be more proactive about my pita needs next time. read more

I frequently order for pick up from the Culver City CAVA however today I ordered delivery and my food came from the Westwood location. The bowl is frankly a sad sight. It is much less full than it usually is and there is barely any greens in the bowl-- it looks just thrown together. I called customer service and was given a 50% refund which I guess is fair given I received 50% of a bowl. I like CAVA just avoid this location if you can. read more

CAVA's a fast casual place similar to Chipotle but for Mediterranean foods. My UCLA friend who I was visiting loves this place, so we checked it out. It's a solid amount of food for one person, which I always appreciate in a place. I got a greens and grains bowl, with brown basmati rice as my grains. After choosing your base, you can choose your protein, and I got the grilled beef meatballs with lemon, garlic, and oregano. The meatballs were so delicious, and I wish there were more of them in the bowl. You can then choose up to three dips and spreads, so I got the eggplant and red pepper dip (roasted baby eggplant, roasted red bell peppers, and Greek yogurt and fresh herbs), tzatziki (made with imported Greek yogurt, fresh shredded cucumber, and spice), and the roasted red pepper hummus. You can then choose unlimited toppings. Of the toppings, I definitely recommend pita crisps. It's almost like building your own poke bowl, and I wish they actually labeled their toppings. It always stresses me out to have to decide on the fly, but I know that's more of a me thing than a them thing. The food was decent, but not mindblowing. I don't think I'd come back again, but it's a good deal and my friend really liked it. I wish they had a little more proteins though. read more
