I've always heard great things about Cava, so when I first went I had high expectations. To an extent it did reach my expectations and I think the only flaw was it was too saucy--but I think that may have been my fault for choosing 2 too many sauces... The way they package my pita was also pretty loose compared to my roommates, so when I pulled it out, it partially spilled all over but again, it may have been my mishandling of it. Other than that, the food was good and the prices are definitely affordable for college students (this/the bowl could def be split up for two meals)! read more

It's like a chipotle for Mediterranean food haha, which in concept is pretty cool! But Jesus it was expensive. I got a falafel bowl with a small drink and it totaled $20. To me, something that is considered fast food should not be $20/person. But I guess this is UCLA and inflation is at 9.1% lol idk! Anyways I got the half and half bowl with rice and greens, lentils, and a whole bunch of other options i can't remember off the top of my head. Everything was pretty mediocre and alright, nothing I'd go out of my way to buy again. But if you're on a time crunch and need everything thrown into a bowl this is your place. I was pretty full afterwards and the portions are pretty good! But I didn't have any leftover like you would at chipotle lol read more

CAVA is literally my go to whenever I am in need of a quick, tasty meal! Every-time I come here, the pita chips are a MUST and I highly recommend everyone to try them, but quick tip- they must be eaten fresh!! My bowl consists of half supergreens, half saffron rice, half chicken, half falafel, crazy feta, hummus, all the toppings, and the lemon tahini dressing. The crazy feta is so addicting and the dressing really just binds all the flavors together so nicely. The first time I've ever had falafel was at CAVA and now it's got me on a chokehold. Additionally, the ingredients are always fresh when I go so that is really appreciated. The line was long but when I started ordering, the workers were movinggg. I understand people's frustrations with the service, but as a previous fast food worker I can resonate with the sense of ongoing customers, so keep it up!! Although it may be overwhelming at first to order with so many options and a never ending line behind you, it is so worth it! read more

Terrible customer service. We were the only ones in store and it took us over 25 minutes to get our food... from a walk up station... The employees didn't make eye contact when we were just standing there ignored and not helped for over 15 minutes. Their manager walked right past me with her food as I was waiting to be checked out with no one in sight to come help me. It was complete chaos. Afterwards more people showed up and expressed similar concerns. I also got double charged as the cashiers just kept walking away without any sort of confirmation that the transaction was finished. I'm extremely disappointed, it was my first time trying the food, although it was decent, there is no way I would voluntarily go through the same thing again just for that. Tables weren't wiped down, trash was overflowing, this has been a terrible experience. I'm usually a very easygoing and understanding person but this was at my limit. They sure need help. The food was not good. Had terrible stomach pain after eating it . The floor was sticky. Servers were rude. Edit: Decided to give a second chance. I'd give negative stars if i could. I had a pick up my order and waited 20 mins inside the store. I understand that it's rush hour and I don't mind the wait. However, they never never followed the instructions for pick. I would take a video of the super high worker making the bowl if i could. Tossed around the bowl, threw whatever he wanted to throw in, didn't follow the order and couldn't even talk straight. read more

I stooped in for a quick lunch. I was not sure as to what to get and was just standing there, "Steve" I believe the general manager was walking around checking in everyone making sure they were pleased. Steve walks by and offered to help me make the right choice and let me tell you it was the best lunch I've had in a long time!! The entire restaurant was spotless, decorated so nice everyone working had a smile on their face and Steve went above and beyond. Cava you have a forever happy customer and I will be making this my weekly spot for lunch and will recommend this location to eveyone. Absolutely amazing. I dined here because they were giving free meals to election workers, and damned if they didn't earn a new customer just from pure quality of product. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and holy hell was the food good. I had a bowl with spicy chicken and beef, and so many greens and toppings, I was just in heaven. Absolutely delicious. I used to really enjoy this Cava location, the food was healthy, tasty and a great value. But on my most recent visit, at lunchtime on a weekday during UCLA's first week of classes, this location was seriously short staffed and in the weeds, with a long line out the door, and the quality of the food had suffered tremendously. I'd give my meal one star, as I ended up throwing most of it out. It was inedible. An unseasoned/unsalted "roasted vegetable" medley with woody Brussel sprout bottoms (the part that should be cut off and thrown out), raw cauliflower and undercooked lentils. I picked out and ate the falafel balls and pre-made Cava spreads and had to toss the rest. $14 down the drain. The poor staff was slammed. With 20+ customers on line, there were only three people visible; one cooking, one serving and one on the register, who had to help the others. They were working their butts off, filling web orders and people IRL. It was clear that speed had replaced food quality or care. I'm giving an extra star because the polite, hardworking employees were clearly fighting a losing battle, just trying to keep the ship afloat!! Note to whoever runs/owns this location; when UCLA ramps back up in fall, and Westwood Village becomes crammed with students, you can't just pretend it's still summertime, when the living (here) is easy. read more

Skip the pita, go for the bowel and custom it how you like it. All greens and grains are solid but the rice feels too hard and grainy almost not fully cooked. The eggplant side is great but Harris's and other side are super heavy on salt. Service is hit and miss on this place, mostly high school kids are running the place and can get confused and frustrated Very easy. So be nice and kind to these kids and hopefully they don't mess up your order. read more

We visited this location February 16, 2025 around 5:00 pm. There was no ice, restrooms were extremely dirty, tables were not cleaned, and trash was overflowing. The food was good but we couldn't wait to leave. None of the workers ever left the counter area and there were 8 employees. read more
