Given my friends have said many good things about Cava, maybe I will give it another shot one day but my one and only experience so far was mediocre. I got the balsamic date chicken bowl, which had a lot of toppings in it, but everything tasted so dry. Don't know if this is how it's supposed to be by default, but I didn't enjoy it. Aside from the food, the Westwood location has a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating.

It was my first time trying Cava and it did not disappoint! There was no line when I visited on a Tuesday around 3pm. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is a nice option depending on the day. I decided to build my own bowl with white rice, chicken, and toppings like cucumbers, pickles, and pickled onions. Everything tasted fresh and the chicken was flavorful! They also have a variety of drinks, I mixed the lemonade with the cucumber mint lime and it was refreshing. Highly recommend checking it out if you are craving something on the healthier side!

What We Ordered: -Steak + Harissa $15.75 I'm a bit late to the party as this was my first time visiting Cava. The food was great, but service and systems in place were seriously lacking. I went here with a co-worker to pick up an order via the app. The order was placed with a pick-up time of 11:30 AM, but the food was not ready when we arrived at 11:32 AM. It wasn't ready until 11:55 AM. That's kind of ridiculous! My co-worker who orders regularly from Cava said the portion size seemed a bit light. Not to mention, they weren't busy inside. We saw countless people come in long after us and get their food to-go by waiting in line. Don't waste your time ordering ahead at this location!!

I had an unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional experience at this CAVA location today. One that was entirely avoidable and created solely by the cashier's attitude. Whatever his name is, none of them have name tags on. My pickup order was said to be ready at 12:45. It was not, which generally I don't have an issue with. Because this location does not have a designated pickup area, I approached the front of the register BRIEFLY to inform the cashier I was there for a pickup before he even began speaking with the next customer. I made sure to be courteous and clear, and at no point did I attempt to cut the line or interrupt an active transaction. I just let him know real quick, which I'm glad I did because my order was being prepared after I entered, when it should have technically been ready. Despite that, he reacted as though my presence was somehow offensive and that I was being entitled?? Anyways, I stepped aside to wait, but the hostility continued. After walking from UCLA's campus with sciatica pain, I lightly rested my foot against the concrete wall. The same employee said, "Can you get your foot off my wall?" Your wall? Sorry I hope you're the owner if you're talking to me like that. At that point, it became obvious he was more interested in policing me than actually providing customer service. Care less about the wall and more about whether your customer's order is packaged properly. I'm paying for the food, not the quality of the wall. When my order was finally ready, nearly ten minutes late, he didn't call my name or speak to me directly. Instead, he used his finger to wordlessly gesture "come here," which felt condescending. I genuinely feel like this guy thought I was an LA piece of shit based on my appearance, but I'm literally just a commuter student tryna get lunch before my next class. To make matters worse, the order itself was handled carelessly: - The top wasn't closed properly. - The side of pita bread I requested was missing. If an order is delayed, the bare minimum should be accuracy, respect, and a functional lid. Instead, I received none of the above. If this cashier dislikes his job, that's his prerogative. But taking it out on paying customers, especially when I wasn't even tryna be rude is unprofessional, unnecessary, and reflects poorly on the entire establishment. And FYI throughout this whole process I did exactly what he told me (took my foot off the wall and remained silent despite HIS entitlement). I will not be returning to this location, and I'll gladly recommend the falafel spot in Westwood instead. And to the employee: if somehow you're reading this, CAVA cannot be paying you that much to have that much of a stick up your ass. I may not have said that in person but at least I said it on Yelp. Hhahaha ok bye thanks for anyone who listened to my rant (: Btw I put a picture of how my leg looked cuz damn didn't know that was a crime geez. (It was probably slightly higher up the time he called me out) but I just didn't wanna take a table away from someone who wanted to dine in.

Stopped by for Cava takeout right before a museum date! The service was quick and good! There was only about a couple people in front of us in line. Generous portions, I got the salad with chicken, lemon herb tahini, and green harissa and it was super light and refreshing.So happy the quality is good here just as it is in their other locations! This location is in a walkable area near UCLA and has both indoor outdoor seating. It kind of gave the vibe of a place I can go to on a chill afternoon after a walk or workout! Parking was a bit tricky to find. I suggest parking at structure nearby, free and easier that way.

The food is still healthy and delicious but there were issues with a lunch delivery order. That said, trim the Brussels sprouts. Stalks are for the garbage. I also had some clumps of saffron rice. The crazy feta was light and smooth as buttah. 1. Higher prices for delivery - WHY? The gas is a driver expense, food is the same and no extra packaging is utilized. 2. Difficulty communicating with my driver. When I called to coordinate a drop off spot he said he didn't speak English but at least said the color and make of his car. 3. Dressings were missing! I'm not picky. The app gives you the option to order your 2 kinds of dressing on the side. I got none. Do better!

I ordered delivery from this location. I paid extra for the harissa honey chicken, and they didn't put any chicken or any protein in my bowl whatsoever. I essentially paid over $20 for an over-sauced bowl of vegetables. Incredibly disappointing. They fill the portions up MUCH MORE when you go in person. Even without the missing chicken, the bowl seemed much less filled than normal. The photos show the bowl when I first opened it and suspected there was no protein, and again mixed around as I searched for chicken with no luck.

When I think of CAVA, it is something like a Mediterranean Chipotle. You can pick curated bowls or go ahead and do a customized bowl. The customized route is great to really elevate and incorporate different flavors into your bowl with many sauces and toppings to choose from! *Bowl is big. If you want less, opt for the Kid's Plate! * Ask for more Salad Mix as the proportion ratio of Salad Mix to Rice is I would say: 1:4. Food- 4.2/5 Portions are fantastic and you feel great eating the food meaning you are satiated and get delicious nutrients into your diet. The lower rating is due to the sodium/ salt content of the proteins (chicken and also tried a little of the Falafel) and rice. It's salty! People may love it but I do think the salt needs to be lowered as I am not shy from salt but I think it's overkill. Try eating the chicken itself without the concoction of flavors and you'll see what I mean. Service- 5/5 Fast and patient. You choose whatever sauces, toppings, and protein you want and you may need a minute or two to decide as everything sounds good. No hassles and the food service stations were all kept clean and fresh which is what we want to see. One female worker was enthusiastic and communicative getting the bowl started. The rest of the workers were unenthusiastic but did their jobs so no complaints there. Ambiance- 5/5. There's a security guard patrolling the restaurant which is nice for added security. Tables are clean. Utensils and napkins are stocked up. Water station is clean. Many UCLA students and people on-the-go to have a quick lunch here!Not ridiculously busy like USC's campus where the line is out the door and had to wait up to 30-45 minutes!

I love fresh places where you can customize your order! This place reminds me of places like Chipotle, Spitz, and Spireworks. Not the best for large groups, but there are longer benches. Pros: -Fresh ingredients -Casual atmosphere -You can order in advance. Do that to avoid waiting in line. -Good sized portions of food -Veggie options are available -Indoor and outdoor seating options -Parking structure across the street (free for the first two hours) Cons: -It can get really crowded, so plan ahead if you're coming during a meal hour!!! read more

I love this place! Their salads are delicious and I appreciate the fact that you're allowed to add unlimited toppings. This is my go-to lunch spot when I am in a rush and looking to grab something quick on my lunch break because the service is fast and I know I will be satisfied with my order! It's been a while since I've visited this location. This once was my favorite location. I walked inside today and it was dark, silent and so uncomfortably hot! I really couldn't wait to order, grab my food and leave. Boxes were stacked on some of the dining tables. There was no line, but the service was very slow. The staff seemed so distracted, but polite when interacting with me. The serving size of my greens & grains bowl was smaller than I have ever received, which didn't make it appealing to my eye or wallet. The food tasted the same as always though. This wasn't my best CAVA experience and although I live just down the street, I'd rather drive to another near by location next time. read more

5 stars! All around! For food quality, flavor, service and cleanliness. Thoroughly enjoyed my first cava experience and didn't think it was hyped up at all!! I ordered a greens and grains bowl. Opted for lentils and got the spicy lamb meatballs! So delicious! I chose crazy feta, tzaziki and spicy harissa. They were each so amazing! Topped with lots of pickled onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, green peppers. So much flavor! My only gripe was that I wish they gave you a few more meatballs. Only 4 left me wanting more!! Can't wait to come back and try some other proteins. read more

I started to frequent this place again since they started filling my $15 bowl with what I requested in my online order. The last two times I ordered from here they started skimming with their portions. Not only did they forget to add the pita bread that comes with my bowl they forgot to add the pita chips I paid for. It's ridiculous that what I ordered in my bowl wasn't present. The kids working here don't seem to pay any attention to the online orders. They continue to mess up my order every time. If management cares about their customer service they need to retrain their staff on how to follow online orders. For $15 a bowl I expect my bowl to be filled and not just a half ass bowl with two tiny pieces of lettuce. I've never been so disappointed in a bowl. read more

Why do all the restaurants on Broxton have the same business model? I'd normally gripe about how this dramatizes the illusion of choice in a neoliberal society, but thinking about Cava's deliciousness makes it hard to remember why that's such a bad thing. Cava is a chain of Mediterranean fast casual restaurant specializing in customizable bowls much like its neighbors Bibigo, Bibibop, Chipotle, Poke Bar, and SpireWorks. For the first time visitor, Cava's options can be overwhelming: you have a choice of grains, greens, proteins, sauces, toppings, and dressings. Phew! Thankfully, there are folded paper menus that you can peruse at leisure in the lengthy weekday lunch line. This document is particularly useful if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, as it explicitly states which items are dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and/or vegetarian. The food itself is delicious and flavorful, but it's possible to bastardize your yummy creation. My friend and I both agreed that there was an explosion of flavor in each bite and that it was difficult to discern where it came from and what it was. I'd recommend being conservative with how much dressing or sauces you choose to add to your bowl. Personal favorites include: curried lentils, red pepper hummus, harissa, grilled chicken, beef meatballs, and falafel. Bowls are a decent size - you won't feel like you've eaten too little or too much - and a decent price ($9-10). They also have an array of interesting drink options (i.e strawberry mint limeade) if you're looking for something off the beaten path. Service is okay, but can be inconsistent. Sometimes I've been offered my free pita; sometimes it's like pita bread never existed. But, that's not the end of the world when carbs are your frenemy. Parking is available on the street or in the garage on Broxton. read more

I've tried CAVA before, but never had the spicy lamb meatballs until coming to this location. They were SO TASTY! They did NOT taste like fast food. Ordering here is pretty simple as they walk you through the process of what to put next on your bowl. The feta and mint on top of my bowl balanced that lamb quite nicely. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! Friendly and attentive staff. read more

My go-to place in Westwood Village. I've been here in person multiple times and ordered through Uber Eats as well, and every single time the quality is top-notch. I couldn't recommend this place more! You won't find better quality and portion size for the price. CAVA is like a Mediterranean-style Chipotle. I love the variety of grains and greens you can get in the build-your-own bowls. I always get half falafel and half roasted veggies. I honestly LOVE their roasted veggies! The falafel is honestly just ok though. I get it just for the extra protein. Absolutely love that you can choose three types of toppings - I usually go for roasted red pepper hummus, harissa, and yogurt. There are sooo many veggie options - you really can't go wrong! Don't forget to ask for free pita bread on the side too. Overall this place makes the health nut in my super happy bc of all the super greens and grains, but even my meat-loving boyfriend loves it because of the filling and savory meats, veggies, and sauces. read more

Yummy fast Mediterranean food! I love the Culver City location. The chicken is soooo flavorful and tender. I never have to worry about dry chicken. I also love that you can get all sides if you want! I love the cucumber and tomato salad... so refreshing! The picked onions are too! So if your looking for a quick bite that won't break the bank this is your spot! I've already ordered from here three times in the same month! The flavorful bowls and kind service in Culver City keep bringing me back for more :) Ps. Visited this Cava recently and it was so yummy. I tried the steak bowl and bit of my friends lamb pita and we loved how fresh the pita was and how vibrant the flavors were. It reminded me of Chipotle but so much better with the spices, choices of salads, the array of sides and how attentive the service was compared to visits there. One of my favorite sides was the fresh avacado they had as well as the fresh juices. After meeting Cory and the other friendly staff at this location I will be back for more! read more

Create your meal! If you love Mediterranean food, this place is awesome. It's also a chain and CAVA also sells its humus in Trader Joe's! You must try the humus. Anyway, this location is relatively new in Westwood. It's a huge space with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean too. Service was fast. Overall, great place for a quick bite of Mediterranean food! read more

I came here for lunch after my doctors appointment. The place was crowded and there was quite a line, but it moved at a good pace. I got a pita with three different types of hummus, lamb and a few toppings like tomato, onion, lettuce, feta cheese, and banana peppers. To top it all off I got some lemon herb tahini dressing. My Mom got a grain and greens bowl with chicken and literally all the toppings. We also both got drinks. Our lunch total was around twenty one dollars which wasn't bad for all the food we got. They have a lot of different drinks to choose from so of course I did some taste testing before choosing one. I ended up getting the beet lemonade. It tasted like a sour lemonade at first and then it turned earthy because of the beets. My pita was delicious. I absolutely loved the braised lamb and my three hummus choices brought a lot of flavor to an otherwise plain pita. The pita itself was soft, warm and fluffy. My Mom enjoyed her bowl, but said that there was a lot of flavors going on and every bite was different. Probably because she didn't shy on the toppings. Before we left I wanted to refill my drink. There was still some beet lemonade in my cup, like a quarter the way full. So I decided to add their unsweetened tea to my drink to make a sort of Arnold Palmer. When I tried some I got a mouthful of ground up tea leaves. Their unsweetened tea was filled with it and it tasted like dirt. I ended up pouring out my drink and then having to throw away my cup because there were still pieces of tea leaves sticking to the bottom of the cup. So that tea didn't really work out for me. Other than that we had a good lunch and I would like to try the grain and greens bowl next time. read more

Very delicious food! Everything was flavorful , healthy, and filing. I got the half grain/half greens bowl for $9.57 and for my two meats, I chose chicken and beef meatballs. I also added in toppings like quinoa, cucumber salsa, lemon tahini sauce, and fried pita. Delicious! Tip: if you like spicy food, choose the green Harissa and the Sriracha sauces. Walked in Tues 6/27 @ 11:00 am (opens @ 10:45 am) and was told by a worker that they will not be taking orders until 11:30 am because they are understaffed. No prob, understand & plenty of places to eat in the area. Decided to try again today Thurs 6/29 @ 11 am. Food is pretty good and fast. Nope. Sat outside for about 10 mins waiting for door to be unlocked. Worker comes up to table by the window & looks to be writing on a piece of paper and glances at me & now 2 others waiting. Nothing. I stood up after a minute, pointed at my watch and gave the "what's going on?" look. Worker opens door and says they won't open for another hour. Thanks for letting us know after waiting for about a total of 15 mins. Not cool to waste 15 mins of lunch break. Could've said something to us or posted a sign on the door. At the least. read more

Not sure how I overlooked writing a review for Cava Grill because I love this place. Five stars right from the jump, because they serve the BEST grain bowls with a base choice of Basmati Rice, Brown Basmati Rice, or Black Lentils, that you can load with fresh or grilled toppings, and mix in 2-3 scoops of savory spreads. With so many options, there are endless ways to build your own bowl, and never get bored. I can never leave without one of their refreshing juices, my favorites are the Beet Lemonade (TART) and the Blueberry Rosemary, but the Pineapple Mint (pineapples & apples) appears to be the most popular one. Today, my trip to Cava turned out to be a huge letdown, a stark contrast to my usual positive experiences at eateries like Chipotle. It all started with the rice - or, should I say, the lack thereof. This prioritization of online orders over in-person service not only extended my wait time but also contributed to a growing sense of neglect among those of us standing there. Such an imbalance in service, where digital convenience trumps the traditional dine-in experience, only further dampened what was already shaping up to be a disappointing visit. This stark contrast in efficiency and customer care when compared to my usual experiences elsewhere, like Chipotle, solidified my decision that my first visit to Cava would indeed be my last. Comparing this experience to Chipotle, where I've noticed they might skimp on the meat but are always generous with everything else, the choice becomes clear. I have been to this location twice, I'm good, thanks. There are plenty of other restaurants in the village that come and go. You're not all that. Food is generally okay but the experience is the pits. We arrived around 11:15 AM and the restaurant was only half full with just a couple of people ahead of us in line. We were not greeted or said hello to, more of 'what do you want?'. For whatever reason, the people taking our orders felt the need to rush us, moving us through the line like cattle. I understand, you get busy but you aren't busy at the moment and really, being just a little nice goes a long way. At the cash register, the girl grabs my card and charges me for my food, does not ask if I wanted a drink (which I did) and didn't tell me the total, just gives me the card with receipt. I found this behavior as rude, with no personality and no general manners. I really like CAVA's food, but the service at this location has been consistently disappointing. I've had servers who were cold and rude, and while I understand they might be overwhelmed, it doesn't excuse poor customer service. During my last visit, the employee helping me was clearly having a bad day. She sighed, scoffed, and spoke with an unfriendly tone the entire time. What's also frustrating is how small the portions have gotten. I saw a worker scoop something, then put part of it back to give me less. It's hard to justify paying for a bowl that looks half full, especially when I also didn't get the pita I asked for. Ordering online is even worse. The portions are noticeably smaller, which feels unfair when it's supposed to be a convenient option. I don't want to feel like I have to ask for more food every time just to get what I paid for. I still enjoy the food, but between the bad service and shrinking portions, it's getting harder to want to come back. read more

Can't believe I haven't heard of Cava before !!! It's basically a chipotle style restaurant BUT BETTER!!! My family and I came in today around 1:30-ish for lunch and let me just tell you, they will stuff your bowl! I got the arugula salad with the sweet and spicy chicken with all the topping and extra quinoa YUMM and as the cashier suggested I got the green sauce with the tahini sauce amazing combo! I also enjoyed how it was our first time there and the guest services workers were very nice and they really did tend to our every need. And to top things off the young lady with slicked hair Gave me free pita chips and my young daughter a FREE BROWNIE, I asked what was the reason behind this ? And she replied with " it's you're first time correct? We want to make your first time memorable" What other store give you free stuff on your first visit? For many years, Westwood has been lacking good restaurants, it's always nice to see when a healthy but good option opens in Westwood. I hate to compare Cava Grill to Chipotle or Shophouse BUT the concept is very much the same but instead of it being Mexican or Asian, Cava is Mediterranean food. What I love about Cava is that all of the ingredients are the very best and very fresh, the pita is always freshly baked and warm. The protein options are really good and tasty, I do feel the protein portions could be a little large especially when you pay extra and get one of the premium proteins. When it comes to beverages Cava has steered away from using the big beverage brands and uses more healthy alternatives who use real sugar not the fake stuff. I must commend Cava for being environmentally friendly, their forks, knives are all made out of plant base materials, their bowls are paper and the restaurant has recycling. Good job Cava! read more

I am not the type to write reviews at all, but one of my most recent visits here compels me to express a warm sentiment of appreciation specifically to the staff of this location. I stop by fairly frequently and my visits are always satisfactory. In regards to a recent visit, however, I happened to stop by on a pretty rough day for me. Dare took my order and I was greeted by her wonderful energy. They ran out of right rice by the time I ordered but she guided me through their other options as she wanted to ensure that I'd be happy with my meal regardless. To make a long story short, the rest of the staff who helped me after were extremely patient and exemplary with their customer service. It definitely helped that everyone was also enthusiastic and welcoming. Decent food. Semi clean store. The -2 stars are for the grill cook that was working when I went in around 1 pm yesterday 6/2/26. He really needs to work on his attitude problem and needs to be spoken to about his customer service. He clearly doesn't want to be there and it clearly shows in his voice and tone. I see im not the only person who's run into issues with this grill cook. Cava has amazing food and a good vibe within the restaurant. The one problem I consistently find with Cava is that their staff really struggles with efficiently making the food and keeping the line moving. When I go into Cava it could take up to 10-15 minutes to get my food despite there barely being any line at all. That being said, the staff is incredibly friendly and generous with their portion sizes. The variety at Cava should also be noted- I've gone to Cava with a bunch of different friends and every time my friends can find something on the menu that they really enjoy. Kava is another relatively new restaurant that successfully adopted the Chipotle model. Think of it as mediterranean food done Chipotle-style. They give you a nice range of spreads to choose from and as many sauces as you like. The meatballs is my favorite, but you have the choice of doing half and half with any other choice of proteins. Customers are mostly the student crowd so the place is lively but not too noise. Surprisingly, for Mediterranean cuisine, the food is on the spicy side. read more

I recently dined at CAVA and it was exceptional. The menu had a great variety, and the new steak protein was cooked to perfection, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, ideal for any occasion. The standout, though, was the service; the team members were amazing, especially the shift manager was attentive and knowledgeable, his name was Roger and alongside with Beatriz, they made the experience even better. read more

The food was really great and I love their take on mediterranean/Greek food. I have a few allergies so I was a little concerned, but an employee named Dare was so kind and so helpful and took the time to explain the ingredients in the items! She went out of her way to make sure an item I wanted wasn't contaminated with nuts and I really appreciated that. 10/10! read more

The food is great and the service is fast and friendly. This is a 3 star rating because they do not allow tips for their employees, which I find very disturbing. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I know the importance of tips when only earning min wage. Please have a tip jar out into your restaurants if you care about the livelihood of your employees. read more

The food here is always amazing and tastes super fresh and healthy. I never feel sick after eating here, which I really appreciate. The pita chips are so good, and the soda is incredible too. I also wanted to give a shoutout to India for being so kind and welcoming -- great customer service and such a positive attitude. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

Despite a server glitch, the staff provided top-notch service. They seamlessly managed the rest of the orders and surprised me with a complimentary meal to make up for the inconvenience. Way overpriced for a salad dish. hardly any meat if you enjoy eating like a lamp. Not much variety in selection. For a Mediterranean restaurant, go to a Greek restaurant for good authentic food or maybe Lebanese not this invented not authentic dish that was put together for money. read more

Cava offers build-your-own Mediterranean bowls with some tasty options. Very fresh and a great mix of things i have no idea about. Their hottest items have a little heat. The sit-down area is nice and clean. It is a great environment to bring friends and family. read more

As a middle eastern, this is by far the best Mediterranean food place I've tried! I'm very picky with my Mediterranean places but this one right in the heart of Westwood area has the best ambiance and phenomenal service especially from Dare, what a lovely lady. read more
