I was so excited to spot CAVA at The Vineyards at Porter Ranch! I had been to the one in Westwood and loved it. I believe this location opened in July 2022. It's still very shiny and new. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The menu has a lot of different options, it's definitely worth perusing prior to your turn to order. If you create your own bowl, you'll choose a base, up to 3 dips & spreads, a protein, up to 4 toppings, and a dressing. I went with their Rightrice, "a high protein and high fiber grain made from 90% vegetables," roasted eggplant, feta mousse, braised lamb, and garlic dressing. It was fantastic! The lamb was tender and moist. The garlic dressing is the perfect accompaniment to this hearty and generous portioned dish. The restaurant was very clean and there is ample parking. I went to the Porter Ranch location today for lunch and was very dis-satisfied with the service and management. I ordered a bowl and went down the counter. Ordered lettuce, rice and lentils and a single serving of chicken. Finished at the end and went to pay and the cashier who said he was a manager asked the 2nd person in the serving line if I got double chicken, she carefully said yes. She was not even the one who prepared my food but said yes to a double serving of chicken. To top it off the manager was the cashier. They charged me and I questioned it. If I did not question it they would have ripped me off. Be very careful they are looking out for their money and not the consumer. They rip customers off if you do not pay attention. read more

I have always loved Cava. I used to go all the time to the Cava in Westwood Los Angeles, which is so far away from where I grew up, but thankfully Cava listened to my prayers and opened at the Vineyards. I love the vineyards complex as a whole but Cava just blew me away. It's so healthy and so great. It can be a bit pricey but nonetheless a great bunch option for many people. It is my first experience with CAVA and I was upset with the service . Maybe never order on the app because you can't check if they add all ingredients that u paid for I ordered a bowl through the app picking up @11 am. When I opened the bag there were no utensils, no sauces on the side and spoil avocado. I came back and they redid the bowl. I was really excited about a new location opening especially one closer to my home. The first time I came to this location I had a similar experience to the one I just now experienced. First off, the employees don't give a crap! They put no effort into making my bowl. Secondly, the only thing that taste FRESH in my bowl was the spinach. The meat was horrendous. Just an absolutely horrible experience and lost a customer. The westfield topanga village will be the only location I'll be going to for now on. Whoever was working 5/18/24 in the morning had the NASTIEST attitude. The girl did not greet us she just looked at us so awkwardly. I started telling her my order and she gave the most tiny portions. I was so disappointed, I've been to this location before and the other workers are very cool and generous! I didn't like my experience this time because of the employee, she rolled her eyes at us and didn't even speak to us. She must of lost her voice or maybe she didn't feel well. I get it we all have days when we don't feel great but she could have at least had better attitude or called out. It was a 3 ring circus we where Charged for 1table spoon of humus 1table spoon of eggplant 1 table spoon of the red harissa An 3 table spoons of under cooked black lentil $12.95 .. it they had horrible service the line was atrocious because NO ONE IN THERE KNEW EHAT THEY WHERE DOING ! They where under cooking everything chicken was 1scoop that's 1 table spoon .. we spent $160.00 for 5 Bowles that no one ate because it's was all under cooked .. no one to talk to because they seemed not to care . The portions are very very very small not worth the money and you can't eat uncooked food not going back .. the drinks where cold that was a plus . I hope they get a good team and manager if not I see it closing after the new rush.. we ate the salad and bread went home and an hour later everyone was hungry again .. I should have taken pics .. I'm sure someone else will soon But one more thing my husband like the harissa he said it had a good taste., Well I hope they get it together over there it would be nice. If I could give them a ZERO I would. We were so excited to go to cava as we are or we're super cava fans. We decided to got as soon as they open. To get to freshest options available but man I could've saved myself the $57.00 and family the frustrations. Here is our experience. First, I'm all for being your own individual however working in food industry I also understand why we must cover any facial piercings. They can be a hazard. Second, they offer one option one day (to avoid a particular allergy) then the next it's not available. After denying what was once available as a substitute for my child. A woman then proceeds to pull carrots from an almost empty tub of carrots. She then gives me carrots that are so dry the are almost the fully white. Mind you it's 10:50, they opened at 10:45. So I asked if there are the fresh carrots available just to be denied yet again. So I asked for the carrots at the bottom where the water is. At this time I'm thinking to myself maybe I should just drive to topanga village and order cava from there. They know how to treat their customers there! The manager then comes over and then takes over. Here is where I think our experience is going to get better. Unfortunately it just gets worse. He then pulls four carrots out I asked if I can get extra (As the lady before gave about 6 carrots) he states, with a rude undertone that "we only give four" I explained I don't mind paying for extra. He says "we don't do that" with a cold tone. I explained the only thing she is going to eat is carrots and the meat since other option is not available. Is there no way to figure this out? Your saving as there is multiple other options that she not interested in. I thought we could have clearly figured something out. Unfortunately nothing was communicated further or done to help or try to fix this situation. I spent 57.00 this time and when I got home couldn't even eat due to the experience I just had. I love cava and have made it to Epicure status through the app but unfortunately this left a horrible taste in my mouth. I'm not sure if I will be able to continue to support a company who allows servers and most of all managers. To talk and treat paying customers in away where as no customer service or thought of customers is needed. I'm never going back to the porter ranch location, that's for sure and I'm not too sure how long they will be around at that location. I hope they are able to fix issues before that location goes under P.s. I never understood why topanga location always tasted So good in comparison. read more

They are not happy to be serving you they seem annoyed that you even walked in. It's almost everytime that we will be getting terrible service. We love Cava in the Village and have been waiting for the much closer Porter Ranch location for years! That being said, we went last week and were disappointed in the portion sizes that they were going to give us. My husband had to tell them to put more on all 4 bowls that we got. On top of that, they charged us $5 extra for a tip so that was odd. I hope they start being more generous with their portions if they're going to charge $13/bowl.
