When I lived in DC, this was the place to go. It's always fresh, moderately healthy depending upon what you choose, and always delicious. Very glad to have Cava around. This place is still new so there are growing pains around service, but the service team is incredibly friendly and helpful. You should try everything. I get why everyone loves CAVA. Ordered online for 12:45pm pick up and my food was ready to go on time. The online ordering platform was super easy to use. Lots of options, but not too many. The portions are very generous, especially for the price! I got half salad with half black lentils. Lentils were cooked perfectly, and didn't really wilt the salad. I got half chicken and half meatballs. The meatballs were seasoned perfectly, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. They allow you to choose three sauces and unlimited toppings- perfect for those horrible at deciding, like myself! Can't wait to order again tomorrow. I feel an addiction coming on! read more

The roasted red pepper hummus stuck out to me and was really flavorful when I mixed my bowl together. Also you get unlimited toppings which was a perk! I got the chicken with brown rice after tax it came to be $10.75. The bowl was super filling and they have free lemonade/tea drinks for you to fill up on but I love my H2O which they had as well. Two words. Mediterranean Chipotle. This location is great, right in the midst of Union Square for a quick bite. My friend and I came here for lunch at around 2:30PM and the line wasn't too long. It's also clean and spacious enough for you to sit and eat. The menu is self-explanatory and you basically pick what you want as you go. We both got the greens and grain bowl but I got the spicy lamb meatballs and she got chicken as our protein. I wouldn't spend the extra $1.75 on the lamb meatballs again because I actually liked the chicken better. Both were good though! We basically mixed everything together but what stood out to me was the roasted red pepper hummus - delicious! The pineapple drink is also a must get. Best part is UNLIMITED toppings!! However, I'm subtracting one star because I would've liked a little more rice in my bowl, I literally felt like I was eating veggies the whole time. I just had a disturbing experience at Cava in Hanover, Md. today 5/8/21 Customer service is horrible considering it was my first time there. The person making the grain bowls assume I was ordering a Half-Bowl did not give me a option by asking a question like " do you want half or whole" Staff making the bowls seemed to be impatient considering I was ordering 2 bowls and reading off a text. Then I go to pay and was told they didn't accept cash which is fine but then the extra we have not accept cash since last year!! Like wtff!! It's my first time ever going to CAVA. I think falafel's are one of those things you have to get fried right there on the spot or they just aren't incredible. I got the beef meatballs and I like how they were lean, but they were too salty for me. But overall delicious, healthy, and great variety. Definitely coming back to try out more of their stuff. But -1 for customer service. The guy making my order had an "I don't care" attitude. I've seen a lot of these all over the city, but I never knew what kind of food they sold. While I'm not sure how authentic their mediterranean food is, the food was delicious. I built my own bowl and chose a grains and greens base with romaine lettuce and lentil. Then got chicken and roasted vegetables as my protein. I got cucumber, cauliflower quinoa tabbouleh, and white bean salad as my toppings. Roasted red pepper hummus as my dip/spread And I chose roasted red pepper hummus as my dip/spread and finished it with their yogurt dill sauce. I wasn't sure how any of this was going to taste or if they even went well together, but it did. I enjoyed all the vegetables, which were tender, but not mushy, and the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I think I played it safe with the sauces, but I did enjoy how creamy and mellow the yogurt dill was and it didn't conflict with the roasted red pepper hummus. For around $11, I felt so full just eating half the bowl and I could even save the rest for the next day. The service was very good too, everyone was super nice and friendly read more
