Love sweetgreen, but I think their quality has decreased over the years. I had them all the time a few years ago, then I stopped for a few years as I moved away, and I recently had them for the first time again when visiting home. It didn't have that va-va-voom that it used to have. I had the seasonal chicken chimichurri salad for lunch and the kale Caesar salad for dinner. The serving size of both were not reasonable for the prices you are paying, and they used to be enormous, so it feels like they've downsized. The CC had delicious, moist chicken, but it was lacking the chimichurri sauce, and the KC barely had any chicken to begin with. Overall, they both felt limp, whereas in the past, a sweetgreen salad had a certain zest to it. I will say that the employees are so nice and on top of everything. I love sweetgreen so I always end up giving them extra chances. I used to get them for lunch when I was in the office and it would be made fresh in front of me and 9 times out of 10 it was excellent. Since those days, I've been disappointed and this is just the latest example. Overall, the harvest bowl was pretty good, but they didn't include the dressings I ordered, and the ones they did include were about 1/4 full. Same with the almonds, which were mostly almond dust. I was excited about the buffalo cauliflower (I'm a vegetarian) but they serve it with caesar dressing (not vegetarian) rather than blue cheese (why?) and don't allow substitutions. Of course the hot sauce serving was also only 1/4 of the container. The cauliflower itself was covered with sort of an odd topping and was disappointing. I love you, sweetgreen, and I will probably continue giving you chances forever, but you need to bring back the Hummus Tahina and make sure your serving sizes are reasonable as long as you're charging $14 for a salad read more

Unfortunately, this sweetgreen was not so generous with their ingredients and I felt as though my salad filled up half the bowl. Another thing I found strange was that they added the dressing in the beginning, after you choose your base. What I LOVE about sweetgreen is the flavor and the overall great ability to mix everything together. However, putting in the dressing first made my salad a bit less flavorful. Not sure if this is a new thing at sweetgreen or just this one. Overall I'm a big fan of sweetgreen and the stores are generally pretty consistent. One of the more expensive salad bar options but definitely one of the best in terms of quality. They have so many different salads and warm bowl options. I haven't tried the whole menu but everything I've tried so far has been so good. My current favorite is the Curry Cauliflower salad bowl (seasonal). Other all time favorites are: Shroomami bowl (warm) and Guacamole Greens. Their ingredients look and taste super fresh. I never have to worry or doubt their quality. Their dressings and vinaigrettes are also very very good. For this location, they have a decent amount of seating but is always packed. I would suggest ordering earlier on the sweetgreen app and picking it up cause the lines are so bad during prime lunch time. My favorite salad 'chain', superior to all others in my opinion. The ingredients are fresh and local and portions are pretty generous. Sometimes one salad can feed me for two meals. There is a plethora of greens to choose from as the salad base (kale spinach mesclun arugula etc) and tons if toppings to choose from. Mostly plant based and very vegan friendly (tofu, beans, hummus as vegan protein options). There are many toppings available all year round but sweet green also loves featuring seasonal ingredients. I got hooked on sweet green in DC and was so glad they have it in nyc too! I always ask for dressing the side. They are all amazing. I particularly love the spicy cashew, carrot vinaigrette and sesame miso. Line was pretty long on a Saturday afternoon but moved a long quickly. Sweet green is great any season with their seasonal specials and warmer bowls for fall & winter. This particular store has a wide open space concept, with some tables and also a cool bleacher style seating which can accommodate a lot of people. There is also kombucha on tap! Yum. On top of that, they forgot to put one of the items in my bag, so I had to walk all the way back to get it. Fast food (chipotle like) model meets healthy food. For about $10 or under, one can get a perfectly balanced, gluten free vegan meal. The store has a modern design and is decorated with big wooden steps that could be used for seating. When table space ran out I was seating on those and found them comfortable. Food choices - you can get a preset bowl from the menu or make you own. Choices included black rice or quinoa, a protein, fruit and vegetables and a nice mix of dressings. There were a few soups to choose from also. I have been to this location twice. The first time I made my own bowl and loved it. The second time I selected something from the menu and because there were a lot of people on the line and my selection went through a quick assembly, I would have like to change a few things but didn't get a chance to. I would defiantly do there again but will probably look in first to make sure it's not busy.
