This was like an upgraded chipotle but the food tasted really fresh. I got the recommendation from my boss and i can say y'all just earned yourself a new customer. The customer service was excellent and they even helped me with my order. The best part about this is you get unlimited toppings to put on top of whatever you buy. Decided to try Cava today, wanted a break from Dig Inn. Tried the following: Brown Rice, Hummus, Roasted Vegetables, Qunioa, Red Cabbage, Pickled Onions, Cucumbers & Tomatoes, with Greek dressing. There was absolutely no flavor, it was very bland; I had to use a lot of dressing to get any type of flavor. I was also very unhappy with my burnt roasted vegetables, I can't believe they served that to customers. CAVA is perfect for what it is- fast, chipotle style med. food. You end up building a super yummy and filling bowl for 11$. I shared it with my boyfriend and we were stuffed. They let you pick unlimited toppings and the bowl can end up being really big- plus you get a dankkkk pita!!! The sauces (the usual tahini, tsatiki, etc) are so bomb as well. My favorite restaurant in NYC! I am very picky about food because I cook a lot myself. I have been frustrated by most of the restaurant food as they are either very unhealthy or don't have outstanding flavor. This spot here has everything I wanted. - Very tasty. All the ingredients were well prepared and tasted wonderful on their own, but when combined just became a whole new world. I loved how each spoon had a different taste based on the veggie/meat/dip you scooped and it made every bite so exciting. - Healthy. This is very important to me. Most of the salad places in the neighborhood like Chopt and Sweetgreen also have fresh, healthy ingredients, but they just simply combine them into a salad without distinct taste and you have to rely so much on the dressing which isn't that healthy. The other salads I tasted at other places were just mediocre, but this is completely at a different level. - Cheap and huge amount of food. Even my boyfriend who has a big appetite only finished half of the bowl. - The servers are very friendly and didn't mind explaining what everything was. This whole teams needs to shadow the staff at 24th + Park Ave. The Park Ave location runs like a 1920's Ford assembly line. Efficient, fast and friendly resulting a in a bomb red pepper hummus spicy lamb sriracha greek yogurt pita. The Spring St. location leaves much to be desired. I don't know if the locations have different managers but this one is a true disgrace. I go there often unfortunately as I haven't been going into the office much lately, so I go to the one in Soho when I'm "working from home" Here is a typical experience at this location. This is not one encounter. This is the norm for about 20 times I've been here: Whenever I walk in there, nobody is ever ready to take my order. There's 5 people standing around talking to each other. I stand at the counter for a minute waiting for somebody to make eye contact or acknowledge my presence. Once obliged to interact with me, it takes another minute for them to find the plastic gloves to subsequently put on their hands. Then I ask for a pita. And every time, they never have pitas warmed up and ready to go. So I wait another minute for it to warm up. Then I ask for the red pepper hummus, which seems to be a confusing ask, so I repeat myself. Then I get asked if I want the hummus spread over the entire pita or just part of it. What kind of psychopath only gets their hummus on parts of their pita. Then I ask for spicy lamb. I get asked again what I want as specifying which kind of protein I want is completely nouveaux to the staff. The spicy lamb meatballs are either undercooked, overcooked or they are completely out of them. They are too busing standing around to actually cook the food they're supposed to serve. Then I ask for red sriracha yogurt and when I say I only want a little, I have to pray to Greek Gods that they understand my command and don't drench it. Then it gets horrendously wrapped. Then I ask for a chocolate milk and they never have any. Then I get asked if I want a bag to put everything in and I say yes. Then they hand me the food without a bag. I then ask again if I can have a bag and it takes another minute as they're too busy talking to each other to do their job. In conclusion, the 24th + Park Ave location is incredible. I consider the staff there some of the best friends one could have. The Spring St. location is awful. Plain awful. I would go there every day if it wasn't such a horrible experience. That location needs a new manager and a completely new staff. May God have mercy on this locations soul read more

Ahh such good food. This place is quick serve like Chipotle except a bit better quality and Mediterranean style food. The staff here at this location are all really nice. I had to have a quick meeting over some food with a colleague and a wacky customer kept trying to chat us up, and afterwards Ashley a staff member came over to make sure we were happy with everything to check up, and she had great hospitality and customer service skills. Not sure why I've never reviewed CAVA... I come here at least 10 times a month. It's quick & right by my job. You can order pick up or wait in line during rush hour for less than 10 minutes. I love how there are unlimited toppings at no charge! CAVA always tastes super fresh, and the flavors are always so on point! My favorite go to is the spicy meatballs + chicken with half basmati rice & half super greens. Their pita chips are one of a kind! They're not like your regular Stacy's crunchy pita chips. This place is a welcome change from other fast casual restaurants in the city. Everyone is always friendly, welcoming, and sympathetic here. I'd never been here before about a month ago, and now I eat here 2-3 times a week. The staff is always happy to answer my questions or even just make smalltalk. By contrast, the people at Dig Inn act offended if you ask them what's in a dish or don't know exactly what you want when you walk in the door. At Chipotle, it's usually a couple minutes before I even get acknowledged, and they're incredibly stingy with their portions. CAVA is a little more expensive, but they give at least 50% more food and the ingredients are more flavorful and interesting. The concept of the place is good and was busy when I went during lunch hour. The interior is nice and has a lot of seating upstairs and outside in the back. The price of my meal was good and was glad I tried this place. The only complaint I have is that they were heavy on the dressing which masked some of the ingredients in my bowl. I went to the Spring street location in New York City. I ordered on the website to pick it up in the half an hour. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, i saw the pick up orders on the wall. You can search for your bag by looking at the name. This was really easy so far. People raved about this place at work, and I couldn't wait to try it. I got a moderate amount of food: half rice,half spinach, cheese, pita chips, grilled chicken, white sauce, cucumbers with tomatoes. The portion was an okay amount, I would not say it is huge. However, I was still able to manage to split the portion in two. As I was eating my first half, my chicken was very burnt. I had a lot of black things like charcoal or something that was on my chicken. As soon as I finished my first half, I have decided I will come again and maybe try something else. Later on in the day, I decided to finish my second half. I was eating and then I got something crunchy in my food. I thought its pita chips, but it was a chicken bone. It was huge and I almost choked on it. This definitely ruined my experience. Be careful people! I will not come again, no matter what people say about this place. Love this place. The food is healthy and diet friendly. The wide variety of bases and toppings make it awesome to personalize and really stay within your diet goals.
