It's a more expensive, Mediterranean version of Chipotle. Their dips and sauces are great and their toppings are not bad. Pita on the side is always a nice touch. The service at this particular location is disinterested at best, focusing more on getting you through the line, to the cash register, and out of the store than being helpful or comfortable to the customer. It's also very busy during peak dining hours, so seating (both indoor and outdoor) can be scarce despite the large interior. Actually I love CAVA! I always order my food online and just pick it up when ready. But for some reason I have not been very lucky with this location. Order is almost never ready at pick up time and there is always something missing... Now I have to check my orders, you lose the whole point of online ordering and not having to wait inline. Another good, healthy quick option. Love their grain/salad combination, and they have a lot of different toppings. Not really a whole lot to say. You get your main dish (pita, salad, grain (rice)/salad combination) made to order. You select the meats, topics, garnishes, etc. They do have pita bread and a few other sides. Very quick process. First time at this Cava location there was no line to wait in. Location is perfect right on Rockville pike it is a 10 minute drive from my job and parking is Not an issue. Restaurant was neat and clean was welcomed by worker named Tray he started my order and finished it he had a really nice welcoming personality. Food was good and there was a lady at the cashier i forgot her name but she was nice and made a joke or two with me which i thought was nice way of connecting with the costumer (me) i enjoyed my visit at This cava location and i believe i will make more visits to this location. Throughout the pandemic we support Cava 100% and never had an issue. Today we waited 30 minutes for curbside service which we always requested in the past. When I arrived at 6:15 pm, the young lady said she will be right out, ten minutes later I called and ask if there was a problem with my order and the gentlemen that answered said he will be right out. Another 20 minutes later I called again and the gentlemen came out with an attitude with my order which was wrong, as he walked away I said the order was not right and my kids drinks were not there. He walked back and said that my order was right, and that he will be back out with my drinks ( plural). He came back with one drink, and had to go back for the other. At this point he had an attitude and I ask if my order will be corrected and he just walked away. Dont go for curbside at the Rockvilke Maryland location. I was not the only one waiting in the curbside parking there were others waiting. read more

The food was excellent!!! This is a build as you go restaurant similar to Chipotle but the food is way better, particularly if you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. The food is very fresh and well prepared. They have two versions of lamb available- braised and meatball - which were both fantastic. We went for the first time during a busy lunch hour so we were pressured to make quick decisions to keep the train moving.
