I am so upset walking out of CAVA, with my $20+ receipt. Every time I come in, I have always paid up to $17 when I get full serving of meat and veggies. And $14 when I get half veggies and half meat. This time she charged me for extra veggies and extra sweet potatoes. When I never get charged $3.05 for the sweet potatoes since I'm already paying for the extra veggies. I also looked it up on the cava app, and the $17 is accurate when I select the things I selected in my bowl. The manager was SO rude today, it was insane. Plus she kept saying how she was going to quit today. She needed to quit last week. Every time I am here, they are severely understaffed. It took 30 mins to get my order, the last two times, they were out of lamb, so I waited the first time and second time opted for the chicken because I was on my lunch break. Also, the lamb meatballs are becoming smaller and smaller every time. The HEIGHTS LOCATION is so much better!! The staff non-stop gossip instead of serving. Like if you're gossiping, cool. But don't gossip with your hands- they need to be simultaneously serving. It's called multitasking. They either need to train their staff better or close down. Every time, I have walked in here, there has been an issue with the staff. Like it's ridiculous. Who ever owns this place, needs to do a serious revamp of the entire staff- minus the cooks. Because the rest of them are incompetent. Or they are under-paid , I'm not sure what the issue is. But one person serving a lunch crowd?? And the manager at that? On top of that, she kept dropping my toppings. She dropped half of the second serving of my veggies and charged extra. And she dropped half of my toppings. It's insane. Terrible service, asked for a bit more rice in a very polite manner and got literally just the tip of the spoonfull, before adding my fresh toppings i asked if i could get some more rice and was told that i would have to pay extra. Rice literally costs $1 per pound, there is no reason we should have to pay extra for a half spoonful of rice. My complaints seem to be a common theme at this location everyone is complaining about portion size and rude employees. Do better read more

The food is great, good job the the chefs in the back. However the customer service with the cashier and the person filling my bowl were extremely rude. I've never had this problem at any other location, but this one. All I asked for was a bowl on the side. And then she asked in a rude tone "what do you even need the bowl for." Nothing bad to say about the staff. They were great. It's more about the food offerings. Everything is either bland or overly salted/oiled. I'm not sure why they call themselves Mediterranean because nothing is herbed or healthy. Their falafels are deep fried in canola oil. Their pita "chips" are deep fried soggy bread triangles they try to make palatable by putting a ton of salt and pepper on it. I threw them away they were so gross and like old carnival food. Since CAVA bought Zoe's, I'd hoped they'd keep the good items from Zoe's. Zoe's turmeric rice is miles better than CAVA's flavorless rice bases. Please add some seasoning other than salt, CAVA. Zoe's baked pita chips were actually crispy and herbed instead of the soggy mess that CAVA has. Also, Zoe's falafels have herbs inside and are baked instead of deep fried. Hopefully CAVA will add some flavor to their offerings. Lastly, it's weird you can't order a side of hummus or eggplant dip with crispy chips at CAVA. They don't offer any side dishes like that if you wanted to have a sharing dish. The pickled onions, roasted eggplant dip, and lemon herb tahini sauce were good but that's all I liked so won't be going back unless there's a menu change. Guess I'll need to start looking for a Zoe's replacement because this isn't it. read more

While the food always tastes good, the service is absolutely horrible at this location. We've been multiple times, and every single time we go in, there are massive attitudes by the staff. Tonight we received eye rolls for a worker who wouldn't speak up after we had to ask him what he was saying and blamed it on us for not being able to hear. Then he rolled his eyes again for us needing to go back to order more food for our daughter. My husband called him out, but this is now the second time that we've encountered bad attitudes by your workers who clearly hate their jobs. I'd imagine you'd be a lot more successful if your employees were nicer to paying customers. read more

My first time trying cava tonight! I was sooo happy because I'd been hearing a lot of great things about how fresh the food is, and the quality! When I first walked in I had a guy greet my friend and I and explain how the line worked, since it was our first time! Another guy helped make our bowls and was really nice and funny. When it was time to check out, Michael (guy with glasses.) was extremely rude. From rushing us, to slamming our sauces on the counter, to slightly ignoring our questions. I would've had a great experience if it weren't for Michael. Super nonchalant, and made me feel super rushed. Really crazy to me, because I've worked in restaurant and fast food when I was younger. What changed here?? I have loved this place for a long time. But recently something has changed. The last two visit have just not been satisfactory. Today I wanted spinach, chicken and brown rice. About 10 leaves of spinach, a half a spoon of brown rice and 2 spoons of chicken. I asked for more rice and spinach and was told that's all you get unless you want to pay for extra. They literally gave me twice the amount of chicken than rice or spinach. Good for a light snack but not even a light lunch today. The food was good but just not worth it. Chipotle is just next door. First time trying Cava since moving to the area. Was very excited, I placed a order online for pick up at 3:00. I live 10 minutes away and arrived right on time. The area isn't my favorite due to lots of traffic but there is a parking for Cava pick up which was convenient. When walking in, there's a shelf where pick up orders are placed, mine was not there. I go into the line and there's four customers ahead of me and only one worker on the line... As I waited patiently for my turn, all I can think is why is there only one person in the front? The place was starting to get packed, five more customers behind me. The worker had a attitude with the customers before me, I could see the eye rolling and slamming the spoons around. When I finally got to the front there was my order, just on the counter in a bag. Had to wait for my turn just to tell the worker that I had a online order. A order that should have been on the shelf. I could of been easy in and out but instead waited in line for 30 minutes. Food was great but the location needs work. Went to Cava again tonight and picked up my online order, checked my bag before leaving and my pita chips were not in there. Told the worker I didn't have my chips and he says oh yeah they're cooking right now... then why would you hand me my bag if my order isn't ready? When I get home I check my bowl and there's no free pita or falafel that I paid extra for!! Next time I'll skip the online order. read more

Last week was the second time I went to this establishment. The first time I wasn't sure what the concept was or how to order. I ended up picking one of their curated bowls but wanted to try some of the others sides so I asked if additional items were included in the price, I was told yes. Took it home and enjoyed it. Second visit, ordered another bowl but again I wanted a little more crunch to it so I asked for some romaine at front of line. Moving onto the next person, I asked to add some veggies, apparently this is extra. A little bothered I was previously told it was included, which I stated out loud. The young lady (Gabby) proceeded to tell me "it's extra" in a rude manner and proceeded to mock me when I said "it's whatever, go ahead and add it". She also proceeded to make it her mission to get out of the line and relocate herself to the register so she can make sure I was charged for the veggies. Once at checkout, I was attempting to scan my app for rewards but I asked her if it involved the scanner located at the register. Knowing she saw me trying to scan and with the same rude tone, she said "it's not working, what's the phone number". I asked to speak to the manger but apparently Cava gives out that position like candy because she said all the people (about 4-5) on the line were all managers. Needless to say no one stepped up. I love Mediterranean food but this Is just salad and nothing I couldn't copy at home. I will stick to Dimassis or Fadis for Mediterranean. read more

Hubby and I decided to try this place out on the Saturday before Easter for lunch since we heard it was good from friends and it's a pretty new location. The location is a little hard to get in and out of, depending on the time of day and day of the week that you go, parking can be limited. The restaurant itself was spacious and had indoor and outdoor shaded seating. It was very clean inside and the food line was also clean. I saw many people comparing this place to Chipotle, calling it the Mediterranean Chipotle. I'd say the concept is similar to Chipotle, but the food tastes much fresher and the place is so much cleaner than it has ever been at Chipotle when I go. There were about 8 people ahead of us in line and we waited quite a while before reaching the front. The employees could have been friendlier, although they weren't rude, they just weren't friendly or welcoming at all. I got a grain bowl with brown basmati rice, black lentils, tzatziki spread, crazy feta spread, and hummus spread, roasted vegetables, roasted corn, feta crumbles, cucumbers, tomatoes, and 1/2 lemon herb tahini sauces and 1/2 garlic sauce. My husband got something similar but with the falafel. We both really enjoyed our food and ate about 1/2 before stopping because it was so much food. We could have split a bowl in hindsight. All the ingredients tasted fresh and there wasn't anything we didn't like. We will definitely be back and we hope the longer they are open the line process will run smoother and it won't be such a time-sucker waiting in line. read more
