My mom and I love taking a trip up north whenever we can and the most recent one was the end of June this summer. On our last day, we were walking around a bit before heading home and I stumbled into Cayucos Coffee looking for my next pick-me-up. I ended up getting an iced pistachio latte after talking to the barista a bit and I really enjoyed it! I'd come again for the coffee alone. But the barista was also really nice and I enjoyed talking to her a bit as well. Overall great experience!

We stopped in at Cayucos Coffee while in town visiting our grandparents. I had been before during the pandemic but this was the first time I had seen their full space. I love the vibe inside and were happy to have no line. The employees were very friendly and my vanilla latte was delicious. 10/10 recommend!

I love this place. It's got great coffee & cinnamon rolls, & it's this place is like the beating heart of Cayucos. Locals loved meeting our dog on the front patio too! Coffee was tasty & cinnamon rolls (for only $3) were delicious! Most of all, service was friendly & welcoming. We'll be back! read more

I'm very impressed with the only 2 girls working on the 5th of July. You two killed it. I received my cappuccino and vanilla latte within a reasonable time. They tasted great! This is my go to place when I m in town visiting family. read more

Stopped by for a quick cup of coffee to take with us while we took a walk on the pier. This used to be Kelly's Coffee and their coffee was delicious. We ordered a decaf and regular Americanos. Just awful!!! We ended up throwing the coffee out. There was a terrible aftertaste to the coffee. I don't even know how to describe the aftertaste, but it was similar to some instant coffees. What a disappointment! Will definitely not go back. read more

5 stars for its diverse drink menu, relaxing atmosphere, reasonable prices, and delicious peach pear smoothie that breathed life back into my day. They offer a variety of iced teas, kombucha on tap, natural smoothies, caffeinated drinks, and pastries. There is quite a bit of seating and the interior is quite refreshing and modern (somewhat of an anomaly for a street that's home to old antique shops, older eateries and bed and breakfasts). They offer a shelf of goods for sale like organic deodorants and reusable glass cups. read more

One of my favorite spots to hit every year when I come to Cayucos. The coffee and pastries are always fresh like a true coffee shop. Baristas are great they make amazing mixed drinks to perfection. Best of all they make you feel welcome not that you are bugging them to do what they get paid for. They make good coffee with a smile. So forget about those rude witches at Starbucks and come here you won't regret it. read more

Of all of the available espresso shops between Los Osos and Cayucos, this is the destination to receive an honest, quality espresso drink. If there's a little bit of a line, don't worry. They don't skimp on providing you with a product you will thoroughly enjoy. read more

This is an excellent spot within walking distance of the pier. Whenever we are in the area, my wife insists that we stop by for a mocha and a scone. They are serving up locally roasted coffee from Joebella. All of their drinks are excellently made by hand and their bakery goods are baked locally each day. You can't go wrong! read more

Great spot for some tasty hot beverages in a lovely, clean and modern environment. The baristas were super nice and service was quick and precise. We had a drip coffee, a Matcha latte, and a Golden Orange Superfood latte and we all loved our drinks. They also featured some retail, All Good Products, a local company that manufactures eco friendly personal products with testers. Yay! read more

I ordered some sort of smoothie and wanted to also try the waffle so ordered one of those. Can't recall what flavors, though, sorry. I wouldn't come here again, simply because this is not the type of food I prefer.

You can see in the photo that it is running and has all of these unexpected tomatoes on top. I love their outdoor seating area and that they provide doggy bowls and water. Service is always good. Unfortunately, quality varies per item ordered. The quiche was 12 dollars a slice. Pricey especially considering what I was served.

He made the visit even more memorable. The candy all looked fresh and fun - amazing considering the extensive selection of gourmet artisan truffles to vintage candy brands of childhood. So cute and yummy I got their monte cristo waffle with an added over easy egg and it was so good! The waffle had an earthy and freshness to it with the blue corn. It was soft and crispy to the edges. It definitely hit the spot. I will definitely come again and try other things on their menu next time I'm in Cayucos. There's no rsvp but you wait in line to order, then find a seat inside or in their outdoor seating area. We didn't have any issues finding a seat; the service is relatively fast! Highly recommend

Then you can eat inside on the patio. This waiting in line wasn't good for me because my foot was in a boot and the line moved very slowly. Then I couldn't even see the menu until I got closer to the order window so that took more time. Anyway, my friend and I got a chance to catch up while eating our weird food on the patio, so thanks for that. I ordered some sort of smoothie and wanted to also try the waffle so ordered one of those. Can't recall what flavors, though, sorry. I wouldn't come here again, simply because this is not the type of food I prefer.

needed to grab some coffee before our trek back to LA. luna…read morecoffee bar seemed like THE spot to grab coffee. there was a line out the door after following the yellow brick road! there is a cute little seating area you can sit at to either enjoy your coffee or brunch or both! the cafe is a few shops down. i ordered their brown sugar shaken espresso and a vanilla iced latte. the brown sugar shaken espresso was a lot stronger than i am used to back home, like there was an extra shot or two. it was really good tho. service was good. the girls were moving trying to pump out everyone's order! really cute shop. lots to look at on the walls. def would visit again. parking: lots of street parking.

Cayucos Coffee gets a full 5 stars from me and honestly, perfect timing had a lot to do with it. My husband and I stopped in for a quick caffeine fix on our way home from a beach weekend after a (very fun, very cold) stop at the off-leash dog beach in Morro Bay. It had started raining, the wind picked up, and suddenly we went from "beachy weekend glow" to "why didn't we bring heavier jackets?" real fast. Enter: this place. Absolute sanctuary. I ordered a cappuccino with soy milk (which was a treat since I usually do oat at home), and it was perfect...smooth, rich, and exactly what I needed to warm back up. Bonus points for having multiple plant milk options, t's such a small thing that makes a big difference. I also really love that they focus on ethically sourced coffee. You can feel good about what you're drinking while also just...really enjoying it. And the ambiance? Cozy, welcoming, and exactly what you want when there's a steady drizzle outside. Sitting there with a hot drink while the rain taps on the windows felt like the ultimate little escape. This wasn't just a coffee stop, it was a reset button. We'll absolutely be back next time we're passing through Cayucos. read more

This used to be a great, local community spot. Coffee was meh. Heard it's owned by the same guy who owns the pizza and burger spots in town (and many other businesses in SLO county). Bye bye cool small town vibes, hello sneaky corporate greed. read more

Went to Top Dog Coffee and they only had two kinds of coffee. Went to Cayucos and not only got friendly service, they have what a coffee house should have. read more

Miss the charcoal blended drink. Cayucos Coffee is still the best coffee shop in the region. There is a bit of variance. Usually it's great.
