It's been ages since we dined in this restaurant. I used to come here quite often with my family,…read morebut over the years we stopped coming and of course the pandemic didn't help matters either. Sometime after life started to normalize again, we did place a take out order from here. This is the first time though in a very very very long time that I have actually dined in the restaurant. Ummm...I'm thinking it might almost be the last time I dine here. Might not even get take out from this restaurant either. No issues with the quality of the food. The food is still very good. But holy smokes...this place has gotten super expensive! I came here for a quick and simple meal with my mom. We'd had a super exhausting day. We needed something quick and simple so we could head back home and flop on our beds. We ordered just one dish to share, which was a Vegetable Fried Rice. Whoa...this one dish came to about $30 when all was said and done! It's one of the simplest dishes one could order in a Chinese restaurant and it came to $30. Could have chosen not to order it because of course I did see the price on the menu before ordering it, so...realized it was gonna cost a pretty penny. But as I said, we'd had a long day. We were way too tired to get up and look for anywhere else to eat. So we stomached the cost and now...I think I will not be coming back to this restaurant again. Do I recommend the food here? Sure. The food is good, and the portion of our Vegetable Fried Rice was generous. We had lots leftover to bring home. But...$30 for a plate of fried rice? That's ridiculous. This place is way overpriced now.

We ordered two bowls of their wonton noodles, a Chinese donut and a plate of spicy deep fried chicken wings to share. The quality of the dishes was a delicious 5/5. The bowls had 5 giant wonton each filled with juicy pieces of shrimp chunks which appeared to be more shrimp than pork. My favorite kind of wonton! The ramen noodles and broth were perfect in texture and flavor; the donut pieces were crispy and hot. The chicken wings plate exceeded our expectations this visit. The wings were coated in a heavier batter than their previously (likely from a different recipe from a new cook) keeping the chicken meat moist and crispy. The wings were only lightly coated with chili sauce that didn't soak the wings, all garnished with sliced jalapeños. This was dish we couldn't stop eating! The service was 5/5 because the waitresses recognized us, were efficient and more personable in serving us. The ambiance was very quiet for a change because of the long weekend which we didn't mind. We were able to have a quiet conversation easily. Although the place was only partially filled everyone there appeared to eat with slow deliberation and deep appreciation. I hope diners will continue to visit this little gem for a taste Hong Kong. We will.

Some specifics: - I like that they have thousand layered cake. Many places don't. It's not bad, though nothing exceptional. - the Liu Sa Bao is just OK. - the pea sprouts (dou Miao) is below average. Weird texture. - the rice rolls are not bad. - the Xiao long baos are not great. Not much flavour. Sorry, I would not come back here. Just too many other good places.

Street parking available, and a parking lot behind the business - also transit friendly, with bus stops nearby. If you get a corner table, it will kind of suck , it is very very cramped up and you might not really enjoy your meal because of it. Service was standard - they did the basics, nothing amazing but nothing wrong. Food wise - not bad / Peking duck was delicious , and the pork with sweet gourmet sauce i believe was also very tasty - just the right amount of sweetness to it. Everything else was honestly pretty average in terms of taste profile and presentation - You probably want to order the dinner sets and see if you can do adjustments, as the individual dishes can quickly build up your tab.

We visited for dinner and found the standard of the food and the service to be outstanding. We tried the salted egg lobster with rice cakes, fish with scallion sauce, ribs with sweet plum sauce, four season beans, and roasted chicken with sticky rice (this last one is quite a unique dish and was very well executed). For dessert we enjoyed the longevity buns that had red bean paste inside. Overall the food was super high quality, beautiful to look at, and well aligned with the fine dining level of this place. We learned from the team that they are also well known for their dim sum, and for dinners, their beef dishes are also delicious. Service was really amazing with all the staff being extremely attentive, and friendly--they helped to serve the dishes throughout the meal, frequently change plates and ensured our glasses always had tea or water. This is a great venue for hosting friends, family, colleagues for any type of celebration or work events alike. The place is well lit, nice decor, clean bathrooms. You can park in the lot behind the restaurant and if you give them your parking spot number and license plate number the restaurant will take care of the parking fee. Highly recommend!
