I've been here for dinner and dimsum several times. Solid food each time. It's always super busy. They have a small parking area in the back, it's quite tight and limited to about a dozen spots. Street parking is also available.

Golden Seafood is a local spot in the neighborhood where my family in Vancouver lives. They've been before, and honestly you can't really go wrong with a tried and true local place. Really wishing we had so much good canto food close to us in sf. The restaurant felt like a standard quaint little Chinese establishment, serving dim sum during the day and seafood in the evenings Overall, the dim sum quality was really, really good, and the portion sizes were shockingly generous. The ha gao and siu mai had really solid quality, and what stood out most was the portioning. I'm used to getting four pieces at most dim sum places, but here we got five! The steamed pork spareribs had tons of ribs, super shareable, and great for the table. The sticky rice was hearty and filling. The dry-fried beef rice noodles had tender beef and smoky chewy noodles! We ordered for four people, and it honestly could've fed six. For the price, I was genuinely impressed; super affordable for how much food we got. Service was excellent and attentive in a way that's really appreciated at dim sum. They came around regularly to refill tea, brought napkins without us having to ask, and when we requested scissors, they were quick to accommodate. Big plus: no extra charge for tea, which a lot of places do charge for. The only downside was the tea itself, it tasted a little stale, but between the value, the generosity, and the service, it didn't take away much from the experience.

I was craving steamed fish and this place came highly recommended. We came in on a Sunday night and there was still a dozen tables full of families and aunty and uncles. Big parties recommended, but it was just the 2 of us tonight. We were lucky and got the last fish they had left. They showed us the catch before steaming it. It reminded me of home and it hit the spot. The sauce and plain white rice alone was what I was craving. We got their honey garlic spareribs too and it was sticky, sweet and crunchy from the batter underneath. Fish came out to $43.50 and another $30 for the spareribs. We had enough leftover for lunch the next day. Of course, they won't let you leave without a Chinese dessert (redbean soup and cookies tonight). Parking out back made it easy. Staff was always around refilling tea and changing plates if needed. Great dinner!

Golden Seafood is fast becoming a top 5 east van canto style restaurant in our crew. Their house soup base is out of this world. This is the essence of their cuisine. Braised pea shoots with tofu skin (again this was cooked in their house made broth), this was a hit. Other mentions: Stir fry cubed beef with eggplant

Not so hidden gem for the locals. First visit and man the food was so delicious. The salted egg yolk shrimp to the sticky rice crab. Each dish was innovative and exceptionally tasty

dim sum is always better with a big group--it's the best way to sample and share more dishes--so we were thrilled to be treated a festive family gathering on a monday at 11:00 am. parking was tricky with all the construction in the area, but once we made it inside, the real fun (and chaos) began. there was some back-and-forth over whether we needed one table or two, especially with some guests arriving half an hour late and others not making it at all. we eventually settled on two tables, a few people added items to the order sheet here and there, and the food finally started arriving about an hour later. the dim sum was solid and unpretentious. standouts for me were the crispy calamari, the deep-fried mochi balls with gooey black sesame filling, and the truffle scallop dumplings. with so many duplicates and generous portions, there were plenty of leftovers to take home. the restaurant was packed, buzzing with lively chatter, and full of that unmistakable dim sum energy. service was a little slow, but given how busy it was, it was understandable. overall, it was a fun, slightly chaotic meal that perfectly matched the festive spirit of the season.

I've only been here once but it was quite good. I think someone reviewed the restaurant on Youtube which is how I found out about it. We ordered a set menu, I think it was the Peking Duck one. It came with crab, Peking duck, fried rice and other dishes I can't remember now. All the food was very tasty and the portions were a good size. It was a Saturday and the restaurant was very busy. The service was pretty good. There is street parking out front.......

Food was quite standard for Chinese banquet but a bit less flavorful than others we've had. On the plus side, less bloat from salt. The Peking duck was served in two ways--traditional wrapper and then in lettuce wrap. Both were solid. Otherwise the highlight was of course the Vancouver crab, which was done well. The legs took a little extra work to eat bc they weren't pre cracked but not a big deal. Service was swift and courteous but the overall vibe was rushed and very busy.

My go to Chinese restaurant if I want Peking Duck! They have a combo dinner set for Peking Duck where you just need to order 3 other dishes. Staff are very friendly and food comes out quick! The dish have the "wok hay" smell and flavour which I always enjoy because I don't taste it much in other restaurants anymore. Would recommend for dim sum and dinner in a heart beat. Definitely a must try!

2 blocks away from my apartment, Chinese restaurant with free street parking, well this time parking is not my problem because i just walked. Large place, another restaurant that is suited for large group events. One of few Chinese restauranta with FRIEDLY customer service....Ive been to a lot of Chinese resto and I encountered a lot....worse crew that you can possibly imagine.... EATS: Crab Claw- or Chinese folks called it Yeung hai Kim, Maximum of 2 pieces per order, this alone will cost you almost $20, It will come to you with 2 adult big guy fist size fried balls with the crab claw sticking out that looks like it will attack you, but that serves as your handle to hold them and dip it with sauce....Inside the balls are crab, shrimp, squid meat paste, shrimp gum and seasoning..very delish, well for me anything fried and crispy is delish...anything safe and edible eat it.... Another dish I ordered was the House special chowmein, crispy noodles topped with seafoods, pork bbq, chicken and veggies, the usual way ...With the semi thick and hot sauce that make the noodle soft....hmmmmmm I called it chinese secret kitchen weapon because honestly that sauce gives life to the dish.... Huge serving in here this noddle can actually feeds 3 adults with a regular appetite...you know....For me the chow mein was really good and cooked the way i like it...the mushroom just melts in my mouth.... Free hot tea ( some dimsum joint automatically charge 0.80 cents for their tea) A bit pricey in here but its worth...excellent foods...my Yelper taste buds were satisfied...plus i had a lot to go for another 2 meals. Chinese inspired decors, they have red lantern hanging on the ceiling, that alone will remind you you are inside a Pagoda...ooppsss i mean Chinese restaurant Excellent for group, family and kids friendly. Accept cash, debit, and credit Good service and good food =I shall return

Came here for dimsum on a Tuesday. Food is always great. The service was quick despite it being quite busy. We didn't have to wait long. Ambience was very Chinese style, authentic without the frills or gimmicks. Parking can be tricky here.

Wow, this place is a GEM, I am so in love with the Rolls, I visited 2 days in a row, had to get…read moresome more rolls in before we leave BC, which was so sad! Hei Hei Rice Roll is legit good, totally recommend, even my daughter too, I thought of her ( since she LOVES rice roll and couldn't make it on this trip with me) while enjoying these roll but when I shared with her the photos and mention that we will go back here with her- she already visited. She said it was so good! Hei Hei Rice Roll is located at the Richmond Public Market, oh wow - this place is really popular, on the 2nd visit I was the first in line then the line wasn't so long but while waiting for our order, the line got super long. I was lucky I didn't wait long in line. Best to arrive early. I am not sure what the secret to the rice roll but Wow, it's so thin, silky, smooth texture with the toppings, so great together. The last 2 times we had rice roll with my daughter at Portland and Seattle- followed per Instagram reels- those did not even compare to these rolls. My first visit I got the combo which is the best deals, starts at $15.50 but depends on what you select for the selection for rice rolls and congee. I got the pork & preserved egg congee, shrimp, mushroom, pork rice roll. The 2nd visit I got the combo again, with liver & preserved egg congee, scallop and shrimp rice rolls, but I got my order wrong for the roll- they missed the shrimp. fyi-I found out that bean sprout, corn, toppings are free! Both combo came out to $17. super cheap! Cash only, they take USD but its the same dollar $ value. I wish they take credit cards, hehe. & the Verdict: Yummy, the congee hits the spot for comfort food, loved how it is cooked and they add peanuts too. Love the packet of sauce for the rice rolls, the umami-ness, so good. Best to eat it hot and fresh! Don't forget to ask for chili sauce, to add that extra spicy kick! For now, I am not sure I'll ever find a spot that is closest to Hei Hei for my congee and rice roll fix until I get to visit Richmond, BC again.
