This place is so beautiful. Sat out on the water and split a pizza and pasta and it was perfect. Homemade lemon cello spritz and water views. Pizza is better than pasta, get truffle honey to dip pizza in. So yummy. Views and vibes are better than food but worth it.

Besides the view I didn't find this place that special. I tried eggplant parm, salad and bread and it was all good not great. The views and service were excellent though. This is a place you go for the view.

Amazing ambiance and view for date night (we really enjoyed the bar seating). Service is also amazing. Now, I won't say it's the best Italian food I've had in the city, but they are all really solid. Pizza was hand tossed and had a nice char from the brick oven. Pasta was nicely al dente. Only complaint I have about the food is that the crackers for the beef tartare were a bit stale/soggy.

The views you get from this restaurants are outstanding. We were here on a beautiful evening for dinner and overall enjoyed our experience. The Ceasar salad they had as a special that day was delicious and our appetizer (Avocado & chickpea dip) was fantastic and plentiful! The ravioli were good. Staff was very attentive, even to the point where it got a little busy because there were so many servers everywhere. We got there right before the later dinner rush. Noise wise I would like to mention that there is a train going by every 30 to 60 seconds outside and it can get really loud. We had to ask our waiter several times to repeat himself because we couldn't hear - so definitely keep that in mind!

You come here for the view more than the food. The food was decent, but the real highlight is the incredible atmosphere. Having dinner while looking out at the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline during Christmas was absolutely magical. If you're planning a special date night or celebrating an occasion, this place is definitely worth visiting for the experience alone.

The food and service here are top notch. Not to mention the view is amazing. The whipped ricotta and honey dip was my favorite appetizer. We could have gone without the buffalo mozzarella pizza as it was not crispy and very flimsy when holding it. I also would have liked a larger or more diverse cocktail menu. We ended up getting nice bottle of wine to share instead.

Located inside The Time Out Market plaza you will find Cecconi's. It is a finer dining moment, with a view. The architecture and decor is beautiful. I really wanted to fall in love with this restaurant. But, I just couldn't. I had high expectations for this and it just didn't meet them. You certainly are paying for the location, 100%. The food was not horrible, but I expected a little more presentation. Just like a wedding cake it needs to both look beautiful and taste good. Cecconi's is beautiful, but the food was not meeting my expectations. My friend ordered the eggplant parmesan. It came out as just a piece placed inside a dish with melted cheese on top. It did not photograph well, nor did it taste spectacular. She was not highly impressed. I opted for the lobster and spaghetti. The name itself did not bring pizazz. I thought it would be similar to lobster fra diavolo. It was, but the sauce was very light. It just touched the pasta. It was served with half a lobster. It did taste ok, it was slightly bland. Service was fantastic! They really hit the mark there. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful when we were placing our order. The hostess stand could have been a little more engaging and inviting. It came off as strictly business, get them in and seated. BONUS: They have their own bathroom.

When Angela' Yee on Power 106 recommends a restaurant on her own - without being prompted or paid - that's one thing, but when it's for our anniversary? That's another. My wife and I were in Brooklyn on the way to fly out of town and Angela recommended Cecconi's. She knows we like seafood and waterfront scenery. This was perfect. It's right by both the Brooklyn & Washington bridges so after a delicious meal with first class service we had delicious ice cream next door (even had vegan ice cream since I can't have dairy). The wait staff paid such attention to detail they even changed the salad dressing based on my sensitivity to garlic. The branzino was excellent. The wood fired pizza was spot on and perfectly balanced. I like sweet wine and the moscato wine was perfectly matched. I have to add that we were 30 minutes late and the staff still worked us in ... and then we had an extremely loud guy talking about his family's junk that was so annoying we asked to be moved and the hostess even though she was busy accommodated. At a time when service has seemed to be going backwards Ceccini's is hands down one of the best service minded restaurants I have ever witnessed anywhere in the world. Period. The food was great, the service was top notch, the scenery was next level and we got great pictures afterwards. Easily one of the best places for a date night not just in Brooklyn but all NYC. Can't shout this one loud enough from the roof top.

If you need a fancy spot to celebrate a special occasion (or impress out of towners) with beautiful food in a picturesque location, it's hard to do better than Cecconi's. This restaurant is aesthetically pleasing in every way. The room is gorgeous with a magnificent bar and a roaring fire burning in the pizza oven, and the well-appointed tables outside on the DUMBO waterfront offer comfortable seats as you take in the view of the Manhattan Bridge and some of the best people watching anyone could ask for. The service is excellent (shout out to my man Sal who was almost TOO friendly), and they'll guide you through whatever sort of meal you want to eat. I've been to Cecconi's on a few occasions, but this last one was a late lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday, and Cecconi's was the right choice. We shared several stunning plates, and the food and drink ALMOST lives up to the atmosphere. Cocktails are well executed, and we indulged in the veal tonnata, the calamari, and the whipped ricotta to start and all were excellent. I highly recommend the burrata as well, and any pizza you get will be stellar (we rolled with the potato pie this time around, but I really love the nduja). Our salmon was extremely well cooked, and my only disappointment this time around was the agnolotti, where the sauce was missing something (probably acid) to take it to the next level. As you can imagine, the drawback at Cecconi's is that the prices are a little silly. It is what it is, as you are paying for the room and the view in addition to excellent food, but the small mistakes are less forgivable when it costs so much. Still, a worthy spot for that splurge of a meal to celebrate.

Port house steak. Would not recommend.

Super cute restaurant in Dumbo!! The service here was great and the restaurant is gorgeous inside. I ordered the chicken paillard and it was amazing. I would totally order it again. We ended the night with a scoop of the chocolate gelato and one of the mango and both were so good.

Great restaurant if you're in the neighborhood and want a view of the river. We stopped by for a weekend brunch and was able to get a table outside. Some of the menu items are a bit overpriced, but you're paying for the location. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana, which was topped with marinara sauce and included a side arugula salad, and was quite satisfying. We also tried the cavatelli with lamb ragu and it was my favorite of the bunch. The dishes were large enough share and we left so full.

Cecconi's Dumbo unfortunately did not live up to all of the hype one of my girlfriends gave it. I went here for a birthday party & I will say that I greatly appreciate them holding the table for us despite the birthday girl herself being half an hour late. They certainly didn't have to do that but graciously accommodated. With that being said, for exclusively the service & ambience of this place it is 5 stars. However, the food was extremely lackluster & very overpriced for what it was that made me give Cecconi's 2 stars. In no particular order, here's everything we had- Meatballs- I'm not sure how the meatballs could've been so dry despite being doused in tomato sauce. Couldn't finish it. Tuna Tartare- not good at all, the tuna didn't taste fresh. Also, there wasn't much tuna given to begin with not that it actually mattered since again, it wasn't fresh. Caesar Salad- this was fine, but how can you mess up a Caesar salad? Black Truffle Pizza- honestly, actually worth the money & is quite tasty. Yes $50+ for a pizza is a bit absurd but this was great. If I learned anything from everything I ate, it's stick to the wood-fired pizzas. Bucatini cacio e pepe, black truffle- while the black truffle pizza was quite tasty, the black truffle pasta wasn't good at all & definitely not worth the price. I don't know exactly what it is but it tasted off. Maybe it's because I prefer cacio e pepe to be exactly what it's supposed to be- solely pasta and pepper. Either way, I wouldn't recommend th Spaghetti, Maine lobster, chili- would've been great if there was actually a decent amount of lobster in it to begin with. There was a lovely reasonably sized lobster shell- conveniently with absolutely no lobster underneath the shell. Tiramisu- along with the black truffle pizza, the only other great thing on the menu. It was very creamy & I'd get this...just to-go at that. We also had a variety of drinks including a bottle of tasi prosecco, a tea amo, & a cherry punch. None of them stood out, especially not the prosecco which was flat! All in all, Cecconi's unfortunately all in all disappointed me & I don't see myself going back.

Cecconi's Dumbo Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Cecconi's Dumbo

    Do they accept walk-ins?

Yes but the wait time might be long depending on when you get there.

Does anyone ever pick up the phone or answer e-mails? Have been trying for a few days to make a reservation that's "too large" per open table and it says to call?

Nope. You can try and try but apparently since there opening I was told that they do not. Has to do with staffing. I suggest stopping by or when you make a reservation out under the comments how many are in your party with a number. That is what I…

How do I contact someone at this restaurant regarding a special request for my upcoming reservation at this restaurant? I have called and emailed with no luck.

They don't answer the phones nor do they answer email. It's sadly pathetic.

Is there any other way to contact besides calling?

the have an email but beware you will become inundated with sales emails from them

Has anyone dined outside in the rain?

Do they ever answer the phone?

    They usually good at it

Is there contactless menus (QR code) and payment?

QR menus YES , Contactless payments NO

If I were to ask for a nonalcoholic drink (mocktails,ex.shirley temple) to be made, would it be possible (but not at the bar)? I'm turning 16 and I wanna come here for my birthday for a dinner with my friends.

Of course. It's a full bar, they should have simple syrups and can make you non alcoholic drinks. Happy birthday!!!!!!

Is there another working number for this establishment? A representative contacted me avoir modifying my reservation. However, upon calling the number listed, the operator says "Your call cannot be transferred."

You can call but it's impossible to reach anyone. They tell you to email or make a reservation on open table.

Are you guys open for outdoors?

Yes but their hours have changed

What time is brunch on the weekends?

    It ends at 3:45

    Are jeans ok?

Jeans are fine as long as you pair them fashionably and neatly

Do any tables inside offer that amazing view? Or is it only the outside tables for the view?

we went for lunch today and we were set by the window and we had a good view as well

Do they serve cacio e pepe for dinner?

It was not on the Brunch menu when I was there.

Do they offer a happy hour?

Hi Chrissy, Enjoy a special Cecconi's aperitivo hour from 4pm –7pm on Tuesdays-Fridays at our bar seats with cicchetti, pizzettas, cocktails, beer and wine priced between 4 and 9 dollars.

    Is there a dress code?

It's definitely not a tank top flip flop kind of place. Just dress smartly, you don't need to concern as long as you are tidy. I say most of the customers really dressed up last time I went and that's also a way to show your respect to the place,…

    Is brunch served daily?

    No....Brunch is Sat & Sun

Are small dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area?

I walk by the outdoor area often and never have seen a dog there. Better call. If they say it's against policy, ask them, if you could leash the dog just outside the rail. I've seen that done in other restaurants.

This place does get busy so recommend making reservations if you can. They have a pretty nice wine list to choose from along with different cocktail options. From the start, the food was delicious starting with the house bread which was warm and soft but still felt light. For dinner, I ordered the special for the night which was cacio pepe ravioli, while my husband got the tagliatelle verdi con ragu. Both of our pasta dishes felt extremely fresh. The ravioli was unlike anything Ive had before, with flavorful cacio pepe filling and a butter sauce with pancetta complementing the flavor. The tagliatelle was also delicious in a more ragu centric way, still offering a good balance of flavor. Both dishes were pretty filling and so neither of us could finish it. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected. Overall I would come back and try even more on their menu.

My wife wasn't too hungry, so we only ordered a couple items to share. The Insalata Marzamemi (quinoa, avocado, greens, seared tuna and more), and the ossobuco agnolotti. They brought us some complimentary rosemary bread and oil to dip it. I'm not one to look free bread in the mouth (I think that's the saying), but it was not my favorite bread service. Both the bread and the oil needed salt. But it was warm, and I appreciated the gesture. The salad and pasta were far better. Both were surprisingly large portions for the price (this is NYC in 2026), and paired quite well together. The salad was piled high with fresh ingredients, and there was a nice sear on the tuna. It was only a couple of dollars more than the Greek salad, and a steal. The ossobuco agnolotti with its pecorino fondue and veal sauce was rich, and quite filling. There were at least a 15 of the filled pasta pockets, and well worth the price. All in all, a solid stop for some good portions of Italian food at a good price.

It was our first time trying the lobster dish - delicious and fresh. The baked dish tasted too burnt.

We weren't too hungry this day, so we tried the grilled clams, sheep's milk angolotti, and grilled whole orata. My favorite was the angolotti, as it was rich, a little sweet from the honey, and loved the sun dried tomatoes on top. I almost wish there were more tomatoes as the flavor complimented the pasta so well. The grilled clams were pretty good, and so was the grilled orata - all the flavor profiles are rather light, so if that's your preference these dishes fit that palate.

Service was attentive and friendly, and I did not feel rushed at any point. I wasn't too hungry so I shared their popular focaccia bread with green butter and sheep's milk agnolotti. Focaccia 5/5: best focaccia I ever had, it came hot and fresh out of the oven. Crispy on the outside but so soft inside, topped with a delicious parm. The green herb butter was so smooth. I loved this dish and would come back just for it Sheep's milk 4/5: they're like ravioli stuffed with smooth, melt in your mouth cheese... the sauce was light and sweet from the honey. It was so unique and delicious (technically a 5/5 but I personally am not a fan of sweet pasta and would likely try something else next time) I hope to come back another time for that bread and to try one of their other pastas

Oh the old school thrill of an old school beauty of an establishment like Bamonte's!…read more I just love this place so much! I can't say enough great things about the decor the ambience and imagining all of the past goings on in this restaurant. It's been watching over Brooklyn for well over 100 years now! That in itself is a Herculean feat! From what I was told it was very popular with the mob as they say... And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow. As a sidenote, you will not find any female servers they are all male which l lends to the old school vibe in my opinion. My friend ordered the lamb chops with broccoli Rabe. He enjoyed them but did mention that though they had great flavor one of them was slightly tough... It happens... My meal was pasta with Bolognese sauce with a dollop of fresh ricotta on top. It was delicious actually the sauce was excellent. I would've liked to have a different pasta shape but they did not have it. No biggie. I could really say the food was very good but it was not excellent but for me that was not an issue as I fell in love with the place itself. The service was excellent and the ambience was fantastic! I would definitely return again and I highly recommend it if you have never been you must at least go one time!!

Rating: 3.5/5 I…read morediscovered this restaurant on Instagram as one of the top Italian restaurants in NYC, so I decided to try it. It appeared to be family-owned in Williamsburg and consistently drew a large crowd throughout the day and night. Upon entering, I noticed the restaurant was keen to maximize seating, with diners placed very close to one another. The restaurant appeared to have a very old-school vibe; maybe that was the theme they were going for? The food ordered was: 1. Calamari - They weren't overly fried or coated with breading. Tender, and not rough. Flavorful enough; no sauce was needed (although it was included). A good appetizer. 2. Rigatoni with vodka sauce - Maybe it's my taste buds, but I thought the sauce lacked seasoning and flavor overall. The pasta was cooked well (al dente), but the lack of flavor from the sauce ruined the dish. I was really excited about this dish! 3. Cavatelli with Bolognese Sauce - I've had bolognese sauce before, & this dish was just weird. It felt like they just did it within 5 minutes of cooking time, & it was something you could've just made at home yourself with a jar of Prego sauce. It also lacked seasoning. 4. Chicken Parmigiana - I'm a huge chicken parmigiana fan, and I feel like it's always a must if you eat at any Italian restaurant. This dish was well seasoned, not overly fried, not heavily covered with cheese, and smothered in a good amount of sauce. The chicken wasn't dry either; it was tender. Weird part was it was served with a side of string beans & potatoes, not pasta. This was one of the best dishes of the night. 5. Chicken Marsala - Just like the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was tender & wasn't dry. It's easy to overcook chicken becoming dry, but the two chicken dishes weren't. Very flavorful & a good amount of mushrooms added for garnish. Same with the chicken parm, string beans & potato's as a side and not pasta. 6. Linguine with White Clam Sauce - I'm allergic to shellfish, so I did not try this dish, but my table said it was good. Overall, I thought the food would've been better. The pricing to food portion ratio did not correlate. It's a little on the pricey side for the amount of food you'd get, but maybe it's because of the rent since it is Williamsburg? Another thing, just like another reviewer mentioned, I felt my table was rushed out the door. We weren't even finished eating and we could feel they were eyeing the table (I was with a large party). The waiter who served my table, whose name I didn't catch, was friendly and polite though. Anyways, this is my take on this restaurant. Maybe this is how old school Italian restaurants are supposed to be & in terms of food too. Tip: Reservation recommended for dining in
