They On April 7, 2025, my family ordered the following: Full Order of Cannelloni Add 3rd Cannelloni Remove Red Sauce Add White Sauce 12" Thin Crust Pizza Add Sausage Add Extra Cheese Do not cut Full Order Fried Mushrooms Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce 1 Garlic Bread Double Garlic 1 Garlic Cheese Bread Double Garlic 1 Order of Green Beans Because we live far from the restaurant, we always request that the do not cut the pizza. Here is what was wrong with the above order: The Cannelloni had red sauce, instead of white sauce. This was a major problem because my mother-in-law cannot handle red sauce. Therefore, the only thing that she could eat was the mushrooms and the garlic cheese bread. The pizza was cut. It therefore could not be placed in the oven to heat. The pizza was cold which is why we always request our pizzas to not be cut. We do not like cold pizza. The garlic bread was black on the bottom. This was unacceptable. The Green Beans were in a ridiculously small container that would usually be reserved for a side of dipping sauce. 4 out of 6 items were incorrect. The entire meal was ruined. My wife ended up making her mother a dinner. (So much for paying for a restaurant to provide a convenient dinner night). When I contacted the restaurant, I was placed on hold until the Manager, Kevin, answered. He looked at the order and acknowledged the errors. He said that he would replace our order. I wrote his name on the receipt and took a photo of it. When I went to get the replacement meal, Kevin had decided that he was only going to give me a $17 dollar credit. I was, understandably, angry and insulted. Kevin has refused my requests to speak with the owner, Curt. I am officially requesting that Curt call me regarding this situation. read more

I grew up being so pro Imos that I absolutely hated anything to do with CWs. I turned my nose up at it as if it was the most inferior food known to man. Many years later in life I was forced to place my first CWs order due to a severe lack of quality pizza out in St. Charles. I was pleasantly surprised with Cecil's! The pizza is consistent and fantastic. Never overcooked like Stefs Pizza or way undercooked like Imos on K. It's similar to everyone's thin crust but different with regard to flavor. Definitely becoming or has become my favorite pizza this side of the river. What is really great about CWs besides how clean the restaurant is and the great service, is that it's so much more than pizza. Their pasta is solid, I love their salads (Buffalo chicken salad is awesome) and the menu is loaded with so many other options including BBQ! My only small complaint is that the CW special sandwich cold cuts are a little too thick for my liking. Would rather have thinner slices. Tuesday nights you can get a large pizza for 5.99. In the land of beer and pizza St Louis has a lot of excellent choices for both. Cecil Whitakers is one of my favorites. I am a thin crust guy 95% of the time and Cecil Whitakers scratches that itch. Today I went for the lunch buffet and as usual they had a nice selection of pizza, wings, BBQ, fried mushrooms, and make it yourself salad. We ordered delivery from their website because it was just too hot to cook this evening. Everyone was happy with having another choice besides pizza. We ordered pizza, pasta and a grilled chicken ceasar salad plus toasted ravs. There was A LOT of alfredo pasta, but not as much grilled chicken as I would have expected for an extra $3. The sauce was a little bland. They also have sandwiches and Stumpy's BBQ on their menu, besides the regular pizza joint food. Everyone liked their food and wants to order it again. We may try to dine in on a Monday night next time when they have their special. If you use their website to order (instead of calling) make sure your order completes. For people who have grown up in St. Louis, or have spent any time in St. Louis, know about St. Louis style pizza. It is unlike any other pizza. For me me you can keep your Chicago deep dish, your Brooklyn/New York style, or any other type of pizza. My favorite will always be STL style. With Provel, not Provolone, cheese. For those not indoctrinated into Provel cheese, it is a blend of cheddar, Colby, Swiss, and mozzarella. It melts into a smooth creamy texture and tastes just as good. Cut into squares and served piping hot. I usually hit them up on Tues. nights. On Tues. they have a special, $3.99 for a lg 14" cheese pizza ( you can order extra toppings for a charge). That is a deal that can not be passed up. But they have so much more than just pizza. I enjoy there house salad as well. And don't even get me started on their toasted raviolli (another St. Louis tradition). If you haven't tried them you are definitely missing out. read more

Went here after a very sad visit to an Imo's a few days ago. This was a good experience. The pizza was as we ordered it without that nasty provel processed cheese food, and the service was fast. Will visit again over Imo's any day. My only complaint is that they have very limited non carbonated drinks. We go to this CWP about once every month or two. We nearly always have the same waitress (Mary) and she knows us like we're some regulars. She's very personable, attentive, knows the menu inside and out and never makes us wait for anything. Besides the awesome service, everything we've ever had is great for the price point. They have a few deals on the back of the menu that are worth checking out. We usually get the pasta special for two, which includes 2 pasta entrees, salads, garlic bread and sodas for less than $20. The pizzas are also good, thin "St. Louis" style crust, LOADED with toppings. Surprisingly, the have very good burgers too. OK so I am going to make this short and sweet ( or as sweet as I can be right now). I went here on a quick lunch break with a co-worker. I usually always love CWP but today was different. We were in a rush and they have a lunch buffet (didn't know this) so we decided to go with that route so we didn't have to wait for food. So we paid for our pricey meal ($9 isn't bad for a lunch but some places that is a medium pizza) and started to look at the buffet. The pizza was ok but it all had meat on it... I am not a bacon fan (weird right?) and all of the pizzas had bacon... (1st star gone). The toasted raviolis were amazing (like always). Next came the chicken... WTF is that??? What kind of chicken is that and how long has it been sitting out bc the sauce is def. dried up (2nd star gone for not knowing WTF it is.) So I skipped the chicken, grabbed a salad, and awaited my $3 soda (I was wanting a nice cold brewskee bc it had just been one of those days at work but I was on lunch not off... damn it!) When I moved into the dining area I wasnt sure where to sit... it was filthy. Crumbs everywhere... dirty napkins... wet tables... etc... (3rd star gone). Not really what I imagined bc usually CWP looks decent (I guess I will give them that). Last, we left and paid our bill.... I always hate when there is a spot for a tip. Really? I need to pay you $ for bringing me my drink when I could have gotten it myself... No thanks! Sorry no tip needed...For that little tip awkwardness I am taking another star away... Went there over the weekend. It's been about two years since I've eaten there. Service has always been prompt and friendly. I was wildly, pleasantly surprised they offer a gluten-free pizza. Good, consistent pizza experience. We hardly every eat in as we are only five minutes away. Plus, not much ambiance there, just simple tables and chairs. Arcade games are dated equipment, sure miss the pinball machines that they had for years. Food is usually good, love the gluten-free option--wish more restaurants would do the same. I don't think we have ever waited more than 25 minutes from phone call to pickup, even during major sporting events.
