MOD Pizza is one of my favorite places to eat, especially for lunch. The menu is big enough that you're guaranteed to find something you like, but you still have the option to create your own pizza with a multitude of toppings, the staff has always been friendly and even offer me suggestions when I want to try new things. Most of the time I get the Caspian, which is a barbecue chicken pizza and then I'll add buffalo sauce after it's finished cooking. What's better than a pizza with everything that you love on it, nothing... I love places like this where I can just stand there and point to what I want on my pizza. I got it just the way I liked it. The workers here were very nice and very patient with us as this was our first time Here and we had a few questions. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. The prices were average. I think it was under $11 to have an 11 inch pizza with anything that I wanted on it and then I added on the soda and tip so my whole meal was under about $18. I really like this place! Great pizza topping options (ricotta - yes please!), a nice cracker crust and super friendly staff. I thoroughly checked out the menu online so I was ready when I arrived to place my order and I think I designed a pretty great pizza... a little white sauce, a little red sauce, salsiccia, black olives, basil, oregano, mozzarella, ricotta, fresh minced garlic, whole roasted garlic cloves, and sweet and hot cherry peppers. They cooked it perfectly and it came out like hot lava. It was a knife & fork situation because I just couldn't wait for it to cool down enough to handle. LOL! 9 PM was the perfect time to arrive because I was the only one in the store and only a few people came in after me. It's rare for me to find a restaurant that I love that's open on Sunday or open past 8 PM in St. Charles County, so this was a nice surprise to find them open until 10 PM on Sunday. I look forward to trying some other toppings and also their salads look really good too! Now the only thing that would make this better is if they also offered provel cheese and burrata as options! 2 different times (months apart) we have attempted to go to this location and there is a sign in the door stating they are closed. This time it was a "facility" issue. There were employees inside and the open sign is on. I am unsure what the sign said last time but I know people tried the door and it was locked with some kind of sign on door. First visit! It's kind of like Chipotle for pizza. Good prices, everything we ordered was tasty. Staff did a great job of patiently answering questions during a lunch rush. Because each pizza is customized, the line doesn't move fast so it's not the quickest lunch spot. Highlight was the No Name chocolate filled cake. It's like if a Hostess Ding Dong was actually good. I didn't see the option i wanted on the website, so i called the resteraunt, and i don't know who answered, but they had a horrible attitude, they tried to make me think what i was asking was a dumb question. Well i still ordered the food, and when i got there, i see a few customers eating and some workers behind the counter, and one of the workers had pessimistically asked "are you the one who ordered this" before i could even said a single word, i could've been coming to use the bathroom for all they know. I said yes, and her body language said that she wanted me out of the store, she rushed me. After she handed me my order, there was an order that popped up on the screen, the same order as mine, she then said "what was the point of ordering it again" i said "i didnt", and walked out. Stopped in for a nice lunch but changed my mind about dining in after 2.5 seconds. Uncomfortably cold!!!!! I'm talking needing a coat to stand in line COLD. I almost turned around but this was the most reasonable meal I could get in the area within my time crunch. I ordered a mini custom pie & salad that left me pleased. Fast casual pizza is an amazing invention. If you've never been, think Subway in the form of pizza, but 100 times better. They have suggested pizza options, or you can make your own creation. There's really no way to get this wrong, it's pizza. Once you are satisfied with the pizza toppings you've chosen, they place it in an amazing brick oven. It cooks incredibly fast. Once finished, they call your name, and ask if you want a finishing sauce. Yes please! You finally dive into your pizza. The crust has a nice crunch to the crispy outside and the hot dough tastes fresh. The ingredients on the pizza are always fresh and flavorful. The sauce is really good too. In addition to great pizza, they also offer salads and desserts. And if you like lemonade, theirs is addicting. They have a nice, clean dining area and an outdoor patio area as well. I had previously been to another MOD Pizza location but this one was quite crowded on a Saturday evening. I did the make your own. I got the regular crust with extra sauce, mozzarella, feta, blue cheese, bacon, red onion, and banana peppers. Oh, and garlic. It was pretty good. My dinner date is vegan and he ordered a regular pizza with no cheese and lots of vegetables. He especially liked the whole cloves of roasted garlic. We both liked the options for customizing your meal and the speed at which you receive your pizza. If I had one complaint it would be that the water cups are super tiny and you have to get up and refill them A LOT. Of all the different chains that have come to down where you create your own pizza I think MOD Pizza tastes the best. I will return. read more

I would totally give five stars if they would institute an alternative to YELLING out everyone's name and food type when their order is up. I visited during a busy lunch hour and granted, it was loud enough already. I sat near the counter, so I was able to hear when the order for every. Single. Person after me came up. I've visited before and sat elsewhere, when it wasn't so busy. It's a reeeeeally annoying practice. Especially because we live in an age of buzzers and tented plastic table numbers and whatnot. Also, they've been open almost a year now and the pies are still a bit inconsistent, as far as doneness. I'm guessing that with the way that they are cooked, depending on toppings, and where in the oven they are placed, as well as the dough used, along with the cooking time...many factors go into how the finished pie is presented. Being a pizza blogger, these are the little details that matter to me! Barring those things, I love it. The roasted garlic is amazing. No matter how many toppings you put on it, it's still the same price. It appears they do a lot of business from the college right across the street, Lindenwood University. Mod's Pizza I'm definitely a fan! This place is pretty much a make yourself any pizza for 8 bucks. They give you a crust for pizza or a bowl for salad and you can literally put anything you want on it. I got a Mad Dog pizza on half (which is a three meat blend) and just pepperoni on the other side. Great crust flavor. Crisp and thin. Sauce meats and cheese were all delicious. Employees all seem very well trained and friendly. Spoke a bit to the manager of this location. He's a local guy but this is apparently a national chain. I hope they do well and put many more locations around STL as you can't have too many fast good pizza places. They have shakes and beer but I didn't sample tonight. When I was pregnant, MOD was my go-to spot. The garlic butter, the crispy but chewy crust, and the customized pizza options were always a hit. This is our first time going in about a year or so. They got rid of somethings during the pandemic, so there was no surprise there as we have been back since it ended. I've been begging my huaband to go back for so long, but the garlic butter being gone was a deal breaker. TONIGHT HE FINALLY AGREED. We went a few minutes after 9p, and they had begun all the closing duties, no big deal, but they still had a line behind us and were turning people away. They weren't saying they were out of dough til you made it to the counter. I think the most frustrating part is that they still had an hour to close. If management was present (I'm not sure that they were), they should have made sure everyone could be served. There was ONE mod size available at an hour til close??? The dining room was sectioned off for cleaning, but the person cleaning was standing there as we moved around trying to exit the restaurant. We had to move stools at 3 different places in the room. The staff was nice for the most part. There was no greeting when we came in like there used to be. One guy said bye as we left, and that was it. Fantastic place! This restaurant feels like a fun, urban, hole-in-the-wall or maybe a place that was once a hipster food truck but now is a brick and mortar (even tho I believe it's a chain or at least franchised) with amazing tasting pie! Best part is, you don't have to venture to the city to find it. It's in a Schnucks strip mall! My mom and I decided to try it out and have been back several times since. You can choose to create various size pizzas (and salads) with your choice of ample toppings or choose one from the menu. The first thing that I noticed is that MOD employs hard workers. Every single person working the assembly line to create pizzas, to the person making flattened dough, to the worker managing the brick oven, as well as the registrar and whomever expos orders- every single one works diligently, efficiently, and is polite! This is so refreshing seeing workers in sync. So if you walk in and the line end is at the door, stick around because you'll be at the front in a reasonable amount of time. We've never waited for more than 10 minutes for our order to be fulfilled either. The portion sizes are perfect, there's enough variety to choose from, and it's fresh! It doesn't leave you feeling full of regret and grease, it's a nice thin crust crisped to perfection. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this establishment so close to home. You won't regret it. also, they've got dank lemonade and music! Eat outside on the patio when it's nice out, too. read more
