Wow what a treat to find this little cafe . They have the best pastries and baked goods I think I've ever had other than in Paris. We had the peach pastry (looked like a star) and the almond pear tart . Both absolutely delicious! So flaky and light yet the filling was just sweet enough without killing you with sweetness Great ambiance inside with plenty of seats along with an outdoor small patio. The young ladies working we super nice, friendly and knew their menu. The parking situation isn't great however and it's in a weird street - I don't know Flag so don't mean to be insulting. One of the absolute best coffee shops in Flagstaff! Incredible service and exceptional coffee, espresso and pastries. Super cute interior and boutique shop area with almost all locally made items. A great stop for visitors to grab gifts and a great place to bring kids of all ages. The owners and their family have done a wonderful job making this a go to spot to work, relax or have a meeting. Great Wi-Fi too. But the real cherry on top is that you can get any drink decaf and they still knock it out of the park! 10/10 recommend going here! read more

I hate to add such a negative review because I do like the food and drinks, but I've been two times and both times I've had the same issue. If you order a pastry they just don't give it to you until you come back up and ask? Both time the cashier and baristas would wander around not doing anything. I work in food service and I understand what doing something looks like, and serving a customer comes before fiddling with restocking cups. The job isn't done when you make the coffee. It's so strange that we had the exact same issue both times, and both times we never received even a "sorry, let me grab that!", just silence and handing it over. Is that how they are trained?? Makes the atmosphere so awkward. There was also no line and all drinks were out. Weird ! read more

I felt like I went to a different coffee shop than what others had reviewed. There was only a few parking spots at the front of the shop and they were all taken. We drove a little bit down the street and found some street parking. TBH I felt unsafe in this neighborhood. There was a trailer park with lots of trash etc And boarded up houses. We had to walk by a large smelly dumpster to get to the shop. Once we got to the shop there was 2-3 people in line ahead of us. We ordered lattes and a drip coffee. We waited for about 15 minutes and went inside and all the orders got messed up. We finally got our coffee and sat outside. The roadside traffic wasn't very relaxing. To top it off they DON'T Have a public bathroom. They suggested we go to Safeway to use their bathroom. Eek The coffee was a little too acidic for me. Cute, little coffee shop near the neighborhood we're staying. I visited last weekend and got the peppermint latte which was pretty tasty, although a bit pricey ($6.39 after tax for a 16 oz). I came in again yesterday and ordered the caramel macchiato, but I was v disappointed because it was a sugar bomb. It felt like globs of caramel in each sip and not enough coffee. After driving over 2.5 hours we were excited to grab coffee here. When we arrived I was told I couldn't use the bathroom because the oven was on. Really!? A coffee shop that serves coffee & food doesn't have a restroom available for their customers!? The employee didn't show empathy or suggestions for other places that I could go. I quickly ordered our coffee so we could go elsewhere. The latte was pretty bland and ended up in the trash. The americano was so hot it was not drinkable, was filled way too full and spilled all over my husband's pants. It seems like it could be a cute spot but didn't hit the mark for us. read more

Cedar House was the perfect way to start out our morning adventures in Flagstaff! We enjoyed the charcoal mocha frappe, a caramel latte, and I tried a honey lavender latte. All I can say is wow! We first walked in and were greeted right away by the staff, everyone was so sweet. I love when you try a new place and they make you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in the door. So back to the drinks.... the charcoal mocha to my surprise was delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness and overall very different from other frappes I've had. I loved my honey lavender latte, thanks to the recommendations of the staff. I wasn't sure what to order and this was a delicious suggestion. I've had other lavender flavored drinks before. They have the tendency to taste like perfume, but not this one. Mmmm so very refreshing for a morning pick me up. Our friend thoroughly enjoyed her caramel latte, she said it was very smooth and creamy. The apple turnover was sooo good. It had such a flaky crust and they warmed it up which made it even better. Hands down the BEST PASTRIES IVE EVER HAD I ordered a second pear tart to go, it was perfectly buttery flakey and not too sweet. The coffee was heavenly too. I got a cafe latte w oat milk. Best matcha in Flagstaff! I was on a road trip from Omaha , NE to SAN Diego CA. While traveling through Arizona I needed a pick me up. I called a coffee shop that I got from my maps and asked if they had Matcha she said yes but Cedar House Coffee Shop had the best in Flagstaff. It's was a little off from my route however I'm glad I made the stop and wish I would have order 2. The employee was very friendly and helpful. We make it a point to find all the local coffee shops when visiting anywhere. This trip we decided to check our Cedar House based on reviews and we were grossly disappointed. We ordered a small iced mocha the way it comes and a medium ice mocha same. Two VERY different drinks. Neither we're good at all and the medium went in the trash. Also ordered a hot caramel macchiato which was borderline flavorless. Son got a hot chocolate and didn't come close to finishing it either. So we were 0-4 on drinks. Ordered pastries, chocolate almond waffle, apple turnover and a blueberry muffin. They were all just okay hence the two stars instead of 1. All would have been salvaged had service been remotely kind. The young man that took our order was not the kindest nor social. Which for a little coffee shop you'd think there'd be some form or vibe of kindness. Not today. Maybe they were all just having a bad day? The parking is horrible. Like really bad. There's 5 spots up front. 3 for what appeared to be employees and 2 for to-go. So needless to say we won't be back which I'm sure they're fine with.
