I stopped by here after a figure skating lesson in the plaza to pick up a 12oz iced oat milk mocha. The barista was super friendly and spoke to me about a geocache I was working on nearby. My drink was ready within five minutes. Despite being a drive-through coffee shop they do have a mini porch with two chairs that I thought were really cool. I sat for about twenty minutes and enjoyed how they attempted to make the seating area cute and aesthetic even in a parking lot. The coffee honestly wasn't that great, I thought it tasted kind of powdery and the flavour could have been sweeter. read more

My friend and I stopped by Cedar River Espresso on the way back home from a hike for a quick caffeine pick-me-up. I ordered a blue raspberry sugar-free Red Bull Italian Soda with cream. Not sure what size the drink was since the employee working didn't ask if I wanted a certain size. It did it's job of keeping me caffeinated for the rest of the day though! read more

I visited this stand for the first time on a Wednesday morning and the baristas working were so fun and engaging! I can't remember their actual names but I know both started with M. Coffee lid had the stopper wedged into the spout of an Americano. Went to fix it and the lid exploded off the cup sending hot coffee all over my partner burning her and coffee spilled inside the vehicle. Went back to Cedar River Espresso and they could give a shit about the customer. Nine year loyel customer, -$5000.00 loss per/yr. read more

I pass this place all the time but I've ignored it until today. I stopped by to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised to find Italian espresso that is on par with my favorite coffee places - French Bakery in downtown Bellevue and Storyville. Rich flavor that tastes delicious! I also got a chocolate chip cookie which comes in a bag - usually a bad thing in my opinion - and was pleasantly surprised to find that these cookies are made by Seattle Favorite. If you aren't familiar these cookies aren't too soft and aren't hard, nor are they overly sweet. It's like the Goldilocks cookie that's just right. While not as good as the amazing fresh baked goods at Storyville, I did like them better than French Bakery's cookies. This place is worth a try and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood for some delicious premium Italian coffee! read more

Cute little drive up and on the other side walk up coffee shop. They had a fairly large menu with a lot of different coffees, teas, Italian sodas, etc. I got the 16 oz iced white chocolate mocha with half and half. It tasted pretty strong and slightly bitter. This would be great in the morning before work instead of after. Not sure if I'm going to get any sleep. Might have to pop some melatonin. I also got a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. They didn't have any out, but gave me a frozen one, which was just fine because it is hot as hell outside. I also ordered a raspberry Italian cream soda for my daughter. Which is one of my favorite drinks to get anywhere I go. It was tasty and she enjoyed it as well. Overall super cute spot for that caffeine fix. read more

Fun little espresso stand that is easy to miss if you don't know it's there. Highly recommend it if you are in the area or passing by and you want coffee or snacks, maybe a nice ice cold refreshing beverage, whatever your desires need. I was invited and showed up right after graveyard shift 5AM, so this invite was super convenient. This is a cute little coffee hut drive-thru only although I do think they have a small two-seater area in front of the coffee shop allowing you to also walk up and order. Offering coffee bagels cookies and other light snacks. I ordered a short white chocolate mocha I was going to go with the white chocolate Americano but Ellie the barista explain to me the difference and her personal taste so I went with the white chocolate mocha and it was a great choice. I've gotten a little spoiled by these smaller independent coffee shops over Starbucks and the one thing that I noticed is you actually still taste the coffee. The White chocolate mocha was a blend of espresso steamed milk and white chocolate white I could still taste along with coffee, also ordered a Canadian bacon cheddar chive bagel, I believe the company this expresso shop uses is blazing bagels. I had to get a muffin top because not many places sell muffin tops anymore so I was excited to see muffin tops!! This location is convenient sharing the parking lot with a gas station so you can gas up drive-thru get coffee and be the first to go as early as 5:00 in the morning!!! read more

Great staff and quick service. I ordered an iced mocha and m&m cookie. Both were delicious and easy to order from your car or walk up. The barista was fast and kind. She was balancing the drive up window and the walk up window like a champ. If I lived closer, I would stop here for my morning joe on the way into work. Unfortunately the last few times I've been here my order has tasted different each time. I'm basic and get the espresso shake every time... it's always been great and my go to order when I'm in the mood for a sweet treat.. my husband went to pick me up my espresso shake last night and instead they gave me a protein base one. the charged $7+ dollars for it. Now that I think about it They almost gave me a protein one the last time too.. not sure if espresso shake is the new way to order a protein one but I'm definitely clarifying next time or just skipping. read more

It's always great to support small business and I always appreciate a store that participates in a Yelp event. The margins are probably already small and they generously offered an iced coffee and cookie to participants. I am not from the area so used google maps to find the coffee stand located in a gas station lot. This is a drive thru coffee stand and there were three cars ahead of us. We waited 20 minutes for our turn to order and it's understandable since there is only 1 barista. The woman was extremely friendly and that's hard when temperatures are rising to almost 90 degrees outside. I tried to order more baked goods and iced tea but the shop was almost totally cleaned out of items. We drove away with one ice coffee, a packaged cookie and a few other items they had left to sell. The iced coffee was surprisingly delicious even though we forgot to have her sweeten the drink. We have not had the cookie yet. The baked items we purchased were from local bakeries but the packaged cookie was not. I think it's probably best to come early in the morning to make sure what you want is in stock. The coffee is good and is a great alternative to patronizing big box coffee shops. read more

Wow! What an awesome little Espresso hut way out in the far reaches of Renton! I came here to get a coffee and cookie and ended up getting the egg white bites and another menu item as well. It was hard to resist - there are so many options to choose from! I got there on a Saturday morning when the line was pretty long. I didn't think i'd have my food and drink within the next 10 minutes! Great service with a smile - that can't be beat! I started coming to cedar river years ago. The baristas are extremely friendly and know how to make a great cup of joe. Their snacks and gluten free baked goods are some of the best I have had!! I highly recommend the blackberry bar! I enjoy every experience I have there and they make it so easy to be the go to coffee shop. At this point they feel more like family than a typical coffee shop! We got iced white chocolate mocha and strawberry smoothie. I absolutely loved the iced white chocolate mocha but didn't like their strawberry smoothie at all. The strawberry smoothie tasted more like strawberry sorbet and it was really sweet. But their white chocolate mocha was perfect. I recommend trying this place out for their coffees! read more

Been going here pretty much every day for years. Great, super friendly baristas and wonderfully tasty drinks all seasons of the year. The coffee line usually moves fast and is worth the wait. I shouldn't mention it to save more for myself but they also carry Sticky Cookies which might be the greatest cookie on the planet. read more

Parking around the streets touching here and the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is not advisable since it's very limited. There is a paid parking garage near the Hyatt you can use, or you can use the nearby Coulon Park parking lot and walk over here like I did. There's no seating inside here; instead there's tons of treats, merch, tea bags, gummies and other products on tables and shelves filling up the right-hand side of the interior. There's also a grassy background where you can take photo ops of yourself and/or your drinks. Up at the front counter to the left-hand side of the entrance are two kiosks you can use to punch in the drinks you want. The menu is also up behind the counter as well. For this visit, I got their tiramisu milk tea with boba. The tiramisu foam ayer was large enough that when I stirred the whole drink in, I could taste the tiramisu's slight coffee-like, earthy hints throughout. The milk tea itself is very strong as I could taste the bitter undertones of the tea easily after just one sip. Also love how they put their drinks in a plastic container shaped like a can! As for their boba, I actually don't mind them being much smaller than many other boba places. They're both small and very chewable, and still look very good sinking to the bottom of the drink in case a photo op is needed. Regular size boba would take up too much space inside the can anyway. Overall drink was a tad too sweet though. This is one of the few places that come to mind for me when someone asks me what boba places there are around the Renton area, as I've gotten great drinks here for every visit since 2021. I'd love to come back again and try their other drinks when I'm around the area!

My mocha was the perfect amount of sweet and there was no powdery or syrupy texture to the chocolate. The service was fast and the baristas working were both so kind when I went through the drive through. Such a fun and supportive vibe from this coffee shop, I will definitely go again. I also ordered a muffin top, I kind of expected it warmed but it came wrapped in plastic which was kind of a bummer. I just ended up leaving it on my car dashboard to get warm and it was still pretty delicious.
