I cannot say enough good things about Cedar River. Me and my friends drove all the way from Amelia Island 45 minutes just to tear this up. We all got an assortment of food, including the trio platter, and the mates platter. This is the only place in Florida that doesn't have bleached shrimp. The crunch of the fried fish takes you back to the days of you were a kid. The deviled crab is something out of a five star restaurant and don't get me started on the scallops. My friend Casey and Jack both opted for the platters as well as Jason and let me tell you they were not disappointed. Sean went with a Poboy that would pair well on a hamburger bun. I would drive from Georgia just to tear this up. That's how good it was. Thank you, Cedar River for memories. We will never forget. ( we topped it off with a milkshake after)

The restaurant didn't look very inviting on the inside. We had to wait to be seated and it wasn't crowded. The waitress did a good job. The wait time for the food was about 20 minutes. It came out hot and correct. The crab crake was not tasty. They didn't look presentable. They tasted like batter, I couldn't taste any crab meat. The fish and shrimp tasted ok. They were bland, no seasoning. I probably will not visit again.

Service was awful and food was mediocre. Spend your money elsewhere. I'm not from Florida and I was HIGHLY disappointed by this place.

Probably the best flounder I've had. Busy lunch hour, but service was good and food great. On my list of faves.

With seating at the bar we were served right away by a pleasant women who worked with us our entire stay. We started with the fish dip which was very good. A bit more cream cheese than I normally like but was still very good. Also had the Crab Savannah soup which is like a tomato based she crab soup, excellent!! For our entrees my wife had the Poke' Bowl with seared tuna. Asked for medium rare but got more to a medium color (gray) but the veggies that it came with were fresh, flavorful & crisp! For my self I had the oyster poor boy which was huge! Plenty of oysters and cooked just right. The remoulade sauce had a nice flavor and the veggies also were fresh & crisp. The ambience is more like a warehouse feel but I'm ok with that kind of atmosphere. In talking with our server Sunday's is there busiest day. So, if coming on a Sunday get there early or pack some patience as the food was very good & worth the trip. Thank you for a nice time! We'll be back!!

Absolute best fresh seafood in Neptune Beach, Jacksonville!…read more After passing by several places, chose North Beach Fish Camp because it was the busiest, and it did not disappoint. The vibe is lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming they even surprised the table with a complimentary order of fried crab claws with garlic aioli that were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the trio fried platter with fish, scallops, and shrimp, accompanied by hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. You can truly taste the freshness in every single bite; everything is locally caught by their own fishermen. Between the amazing food, top-notch service, and great atmosphere, this was a standout dining experience. Highly recommended!

I've always had a great experience eating at North Beach Fish Camp. Downstairs is usually crowded,…read moreso my favorite place to eat is upstairs. Even if the restaurant is packed, you can usually get a spot at the bar to eat. And if you sit upstairs, you get a nice view out of the windows. They have different specials all the time, and on our last visit, they had fried crab claws with a yummy dipping sauce. On this last visit, we just had drinks and appetizers, but on previous visits, I've tried a lot of the fish dishes on the menu and have liked them all. They also have good hush puppies. Their mixed drinks are good as well. I can't remember the names of the two I tried (in the photos), but they were refreshing. My husband had an espresso martini, but instead of vodka, he had them make it with the O'Kahan Agave Mezcal Purple Heart, which is something you have to ask for. It's a different twist on the usual espresso martini. Overall, it's good food in a good spot right on the corner in the Beaches Town Center. Never been disappointed and have been eating there for years.

The hostess and server were pleasant. We ordered the shrimps, grits and tails and a oyster po-boy. I STRONGLY recommend that you experience this restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed. The shrimp, grits and tails was one of the best dishes I've had in a very long time. Also the oyster po-boy was fresh with a ample quantity of oysters on the sandwich. Everytime I am in Jacksonville, I will have to stop at the restaurant.

I'm sad. I'm sad this place isn't in St Augustine, or have a location closer to St Augustine…read more Ever since I discovered this place, I try to add it in when I'm in the area. Unfortunately, I'm not in the area that much, and only once did I make the journey just to come here. What is the draw, you may ask? Great beer, great food, great atmosphere, great vibes! , That said, every meal I have had here has been delicious. The beer is pretty darn good & cold too! Of course, with the long drive...ya gotta limit it. But it's worth it for anything on the menu. I don't know where to start food-wise, I am trying to eat my way around the menu. The gator tail and fish dip are two of my favorites for small bites/appetizers. The Elk burger, the Taphouse burger, and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich are always amazing....and then there's the cole slaw...yummy! Delicious food, and they have more than just sandwiches. The menu offers a little something different. The atmosphere and vibe are always inviting, and the staff is super friendly. The prices are fair, portions are ample, and there is plenty of parking. The decor is fun too! Not to mention, they give a veteran discount with proof of ID. What more can you ask for? Well, I know what I can ask for! To the owners: pretty please, with sugar on top, consider opening a location in St. Augustine. Not in the downtown area, but the folks north of town need something; they need you! Around the Palencia & Kensington area, off US 1 to be exact...or anywhere nearby in that area. The folks there would love something they can walk to, ride bikes to, maybe even use a golf cart to get to...and yes, a short drive is good too. Jus' sayin'! Please just check it out...I said pretty please!
