First time I have eaten at Shrimp Shack I ordered the Shrimp Po boy and cheese grits. At first look it pretty standard fried shrimp lettuce and tomato on a grilled bun. The shrimp weren't huge but larger than salad shrimp. They were actually the right size. The fries were well seasoned my biggest gripe would be no remoulade sauce. The cheese grits weren't as good as my wife's but good for store made. I would be open to visit again.

This was my first time at the shrimp shack, l will definitely come back. I ordered the shrimp poboy, fries with grits and cole slaw. Everything was very tasty, however my fries were cold they would have been better hot. Next time I will eat in to avoid this issue. The service was fast. This is a nice location.

New and lively building, same yummy, plentiful options. The fries are super crispy and the slaw is flavored just right. Can't miss with any menu selection

Fast food sea food? Drive Through Sea Food? The service is a bit slow, but smiling so okay It's fast food so fast food ambience I have to admit the food was good and it came out hot and freshly cooked. It might take a little longer, but the weight is worth it.

This place I was uncertain about the food they sold her and if it was going to be good. But one night while in the area drove pass and saw the line wrapped around the building. I said say no more I will be having them for lunch and.... It did not disappoint. I got the 18 shrimp dinner which came with two sides and a drink and yall that sweet tea was everything, the shrimp and fries were good and hot, the hushpuppies were good I thought it was going to be similar to another place I had down south called buds but it wasn't. But nonetheless still good. My entire meal came up to 20 bucks I didn't check out the inside as I went through the drive through. The drive through did have a little wait but not complaining as everything was good and hot

I first went to this location in 2022. I just found out two two weeks ago that this location is temporary closed. The food here was good, but the service was slightly slow that. I guess it was because it was during the week. I decided to herefor lunch that particular day. Parking here was slightly difficult to find, being that it's a shared parking lot. But, after a couple minutes circling the parking lot, I did manage to find a parking spot. The ambiance within this restaurant is just regular and nothing to brag about. I decided to order a shrimp po' boy sandwich that day. The bread was fresh and so were the shrimps, as they were very flavorful. The restrooms were surprisingly clean that day and presentable also. I do hope they reopen this establishment next year.

This review is based on my drive thru experiences because I've not been inside yet. I absolutely love Shrimp Shack and am blown away by how good their food is. Plus the fact that they have a drive thru for convenience & the staff is always friendly is why I am constantly recommending SS to others. Their shrimp & grits (not pictured) is better than I've had at pricier restaurants in town. I also love their fried shrimp platters because the seasoning and amount of batter is just perfect in my opinion. And if you like great deals, you need to go on Tuesday or Thursday when you get a 30pc fried shrimp platter w/ 2 sides for $13.99!

Every week I barely make it till Friday before I physically cannot bring myself to cook and want to consume copious amounts of junk food. By the time Thursday rolls around, I find myself gravitating towards takeout or ordering in. Such was the mood I found myself in when I stumbled across Shrimp Shack on Ubereats. I am aware of the Tuesday and Thursday specials the offer where you can get 30 pc of shrimp with two sides for 13.99. However, I decided to go with the family platter in order to try more variety of their wares. I must say, it great exceeded my expectations. Maybe it's because I'm new to the South, and my standard isn't as high, comfort food here is amazing! Although many reviews of the place say the hush puppies had a weird taste, I am absolutely hooked on it. Sweet, savory, and slightly garlicky I know I will be coming back just for that. The portions size was definitely enough for a family of 4, the fish was delightful. I will definitely be taking my friends and family who are visiting Jacksonville as a display of local culture :P.

It was fun to see the fresh caught fish in a display case on the way to order. At the end of our visit I chatted with one of the staff and she was super friendly to this out of towner. I personally had one of the specials - Cobia grilled with teriyaki glaze and mango salsa and fried okra instead of fries. The fish was cooked perfectly, not dried out, the flavor combination was well balanced. The okra was plentiful and, while I prefer cornmeal batter (Cracker Barrel style), this batter was seasoned just right and cooked to a nice golden color. I noticed that even though everything has a fried option, the restaurant didn't smell greasy or fishy. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich that he enjoyed and my nephew had a cheeseburger that looked delicious too. No one walked away hungry or disappointed today. Only thing I missed was trying dessert, but we headed out just before it got busy with the dinner crowd. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to friends!

Though it was briskly busy for Sunday service, the ambiance remained thoroughly pleasant and impeccably maintained. We were seated toward the back of the establishment, offering an utterly magnificent, unobstructed view of the river. To begin, I selected a crisp Corona Extra with a fresh slice of lemon, while my assistant opted for a fine beer. For our luncheon, we ordered a platter of raw oysters, which were extraordinarily fresh, perfectly chilled, and thoroughly divine for a late-afternoon meal. To top off a splendid day, we indulged in a warm cinnamon roll for dessert a delightfully decadent sweet finish. Watching the breathtaking sunset cast its glow over the water made for a truly magical afternoon. Impeccable views, fresh cuisine, and a wonderful atmosphere I shall most certainly be returning!

The raw oysters were fresh and an absolute must order. Since we visited during the winter, I also warmed up with a bowl of clam chowder, which really hit the spot. We also tried the boiled oysters, served hot and charred, and they ended up being everyone's favorite.
