Ship with no captain so that means it's a sunken ship. Stay far away from the Steak. They don't know there temperatures. Service is so wishy washy. You get great service 1 out of 5 visits. The seafood is great is the only reason we come back. read more

Grouper broiled, mashed sweet potatoes and string beans good. Grouper was warm. Crab stuffed mushrooms were a disappointment. Last year on our visit this consisted of a large mushroom stuffed with crabmeat, today it was an over fried ball and very small crabmeat. Clam chowder just ok. The food was good however I was in A party of 16 family members visit in Florida for a funeral was eating at the establishment on a Tuesday, March 23rd 2021 individuals who ordered the crabcakes and the crab legs have food poisoning in which had to take a child four years old to emergency room the adults just has a normal reactions to the food poisoning. I reached out to the establishment and spoke with the manager Claire who informed me that was the first she heard of that no one else called she offered no remorse no apologies nothing. So I say all this to say yes the food was good but not at the price of getting food poisoning. read more

Kenzie is a sweetheart. She is enthusiastic, on the ball, and an excellent employee. She caught that my side dish was cooked with onions and let me know as I requested none. Most places don't notice when they are in the mix already. This is our first time here, and the place is already packed at 5pm! It is in an unassuming little building on the main stretch. We would have went right by it, were it not for the great reviews. We are currently eating healthy, so chose a seafood restaurant to eat out at tonight. I ordered the blackened salmon. It was exceptional. My husband ordered the grouper. He loved it, too. What a fantastic little gem we found here in Inverness. We will absolutely be back! read more

We stopped in here before the Mayan Race 03/13/22. 4:30 and the place was packed. We had a phenomenal waitress by the name of Olivia. Very attentive, took our drink order as soon as we were seated. Placed our order for the senior special for 2, amazing price for fish filets, oysters, shrimp, scallops and stuffed crab plus 2 sides. Highly recommended but very disappointing. We waited for almost an hour for our food. We were the last ones to be served, others that came after us were served before us. All the food came at different times with the sides coming at the end after we finished eating our entrées. The garlic mashed potatoes were very salty. Will not come back. Ordered original platter for 2 ( shrimp, scallops, oysters, deviled crabs and flounder filets) with garlic mash potatoes, green beans, collar greens, okra with tomatoes and stuffed mushrooms with crab and cheese with a side of ranch (pretty sure homemade made) dressing. The bike ride we were going to do got rained out so we were looking for an early dinner. Our front desk clerk at the Central Motel recommended this and we are glad she did!! We got there a little before 5 and the parking lot already had a lot of cars - then we remembered we were in FL. . We felt great about being the youngest (late 50's) in the place and got more excited about the food. Lots of local regulars were happy to talk about their favorites. The place was packed when we were leaving with a lot of families with kids lined up. There are all you can eat specials each weekday and our choice was flounder or shrimp. I can get shrimp about anywhere so I ordered the flounder blackened (based on the reco of a regular and our waitress). It was outstanding!! Delicate thin fillets cooked and seasoned perfectly and served hot (I hate lukewarm or cold fish). The hush puppies were very crunchy, flavorful and not at all greasy. Fries were good - as was the cole slaw. The initial flounder serving was substantial - filled it's own plate but I had to try the fried version. It was really good - delicate tasty coating that did not overwhelm the thin fillet - again not at all greasy & served piping hot. My wife is not a seafood fan so she ordered the cheeseburger. It was huge and had great flavor. She raved about the whipped sweet potatoes. We would definitely go back & highly recommend it! read more

Unfortunately, we won't be back. We've given this place a couple of chances now Since the supply issues we were given a list the time before what they were out of. Happen to be a good portion of the menu choices. This time we noticed a theme with us and several tables once you're seated and order the server comes back to tell customers that they're out of one thing or the other. They advertise all you can eat shrimp/flounder of course after the order was submitted they don't have all you can eat. Just the regular shrimp plate for $3.00 less which was not a good size portion for the price. The sides are oversized to compensate the visual product. Bland and not seasoned.. I'm from Louisiana..it AMAZES me how restaurants don't season food here in Inverness ( not talking just spicy ) but overall. read more
