    The Chowder!

Had not been here since 1999, and WOW, what improvements have been made! Food and wine was great back then and every bit as good now. Not many restaurants can say that! Service was great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambience is almost impossible to beat[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the food amazing! The Cedar Plank Salmon like I had in 1999 was every bit as good today. My wife, who is tough to please, loved this place and wants to go back on our next time passing through CDA! I hope they are around for many more years!

We had reservations and we had a graduation to go to afterwards. So we were all a little rushed, us, and the servers. Our server was Erika and she had quite a few large tables. But she kept everything moving, which was important. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think in the summer sitting outside the ambience would've been much better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't get a chance to take too many pictures, but couple of people had steak, chicken fettuccine. My husband had salmon I had halibut. The prices were OK, I've had better fish. They had a big salad bar, which was nice and had everything. They also brought out a huckleberry ice cream for my granddaughter who was graduating. Also, they let me know. There was gratuity already on as we had a table of nine, which was nice. They did have some early bird specials, but not for large parties, which was a little disappointing.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Exceeded expectations. Food and service were incredible and the view wasn't so bad either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great spot to celebrate a birthday or special occasion.

Best salad bar full of fresh options with a huge selection of toppings! We had prime rib and seafood risotto, with lobster tails and creme brulee! Food was fantastic, service was amazing (Morgan did a fantastic job), and [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambience was perfect[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]! Highly recommend this restaurant

This is the second time we have eaten here and it's off the hook good. The service by Morgan was excellent. Place is clean and well taken care of. You can start off with a salad bar that is fresh and has a ton of variety. Great blue cheese dressing. I had the halibut which was fantastic. Risotto was creamy and tasty. Asparagus was cooked perfectly. My wife and her friend had the prime rib which both enjoyed. Cooked perfectly. Our other friend had the Sea scallops which were very good. I tried one! It was nice sitting by the window watching the boats and paddleboarders. Really enjoyable experience.

Very friendly service and helpful. Jamie did a nice job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely enjoy the ambience with the lake view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both had the prime rib. It came with a delicious Idaho baked potato and asparagus. It came with either homemade clam chowder or 1 trip to the salad bar. We opted for the clam chowder. It had pretty good flavor but too much bacon and potatoes and very little clams. The prime rib was at least 10oz, cooked to order and had nice seasoning and a good flavor on the cap, but a little tough and bland otherwise (certainly not a prime cut). Really enjoyed the Huckleberry Sundae for dessert.

Great anniversary dinner. Prime rib and salmon were perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Charming interior and amazing views of the lake.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wonderful server. Come for the old school salad bar alone.

My girlfriends and I came for the early dinner specials! The service was amazing! Waters kept full, drinks refilled, nonalcoholic prosecco allowed me to really immerse myself in the bubbly social ambiance, and the floating restaurant itself provided absolutely stunning views! Great chowder and salad bar to start, and wonderfully flavorful entrees (I had the prawns, friends had prime rib, and salmon--I think!). The servers took group pics for us, separate checks, and treated us like gold. Amazing! Definitely recommend and will be going back!

Cedars was such a great experience! I loved this floating restaurant, it was my first time experiencing something like this! The food was great with so many options and the salad bar was fun too. Haven't been to one of those in a while.

We also came to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Not exactly what I had imagined, it was very loud, lots of crying babies haha- which is totally fine if you are not looking for a quiet romantic dinner:) The food was just ok, the floating of the restaurant was very cool with a nice breeze coming through the open patio doors. The service was also just ok... I did think it was very sweet that there was a note and rose petals left on the table for us wishing us a happy anniversary:)

First time dining here and we were excited to finally check it out. The view was spectacular and very cool they have a place to dock your boat. Service was great and all the food was tasty. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu

Sirloin, asparagus, and mashed Potatoes. Sirloin was ordered MR, but served MW.

Cedars had been a local favorite for years. Their salad bar and complementary bread rolls are reliably good. The service is always great, but unfortunately our most recent visit here was disappointing. Most of the entrees our table ordered were overcooked, which isn't surprising with how long they took to arrive after being ordered. Our waiter was busy with what seemed to be a large section of tables. To their credit their customer service was great, but each course was delayed a bit resulting in overcooked entrees. Drinks, salad, and appetizers are good, but entrees vary. For the prices of this place, I believe there are far better alternatives in CDA.

Excellent burger and old fashion cocktail.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a wonderful dinner, while sitting at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cedars never disappoints. My server bartender Megan was awesome. Will definitely be returning soon...

We parked in a parking structure shared with a resort and other businesses. Once we parked getting to the restaurant was like going through a maze. Once there the ambiance was a nice simple elegant. We sat in the bar We went for happy hour. Our waitress was nice, seemed a little rushed. We wanted to sit by the windows. 1. There was five of us and they would not let us move one chair so we could sit by the windows....fire issue. We squeezed into a corner booth....UNCOMFORTABLE.. If you have more than four people in your party choose a different restaurant. 2. We placed our drink and food orders. We had reviewed the online menu....we were ready. I asked to have the hummus and olives first. The drink order came relatively quick. The food order took forever. 3. We were getting hungry. One of my companions asked a young waitress serving bread, if we could have some. She told us she didn't have a ticket for us so she would look into it and get back to us..... WTF. I relayed, we were sat and placed our food order before the table you just served bread to twice now. The bread waitress walked away. She did come back...I tried the orange bread.....it was orange frosting poured over a bun. 4. The party of seven that sat after us got their appetizer 20 minutes before we finally got our food (45 minutes). The hummus and a lives was served with our food.....APPETIZER. Does this waitress not understand that. 5. FINALLY, our waitress came to check on us....we had finished our food. One of the companions that had recommended Beverly's told her, just the bill. She brought our bill quickly.......:,and we waited.....waited.....waited. Finally my companion got up went to the hostess and requested to pay our bill. Both companions continued to state , We don't understand last time the service and food was great. Overall I was disappointed in the restaurant especially since the food/drinks are average but pricey. The view of nice. I am not in any hurry to return. I had amazing service and food at Sweet Lou, Tony's by the Lake, and Cedar's on the Lake.. we sat on the enclosed patio....no fire issues.

We arrived about a half hour after they opened and they were already getting busy, but was seated right away. The ambiance was hustle and bustle and probably a bit louder than average since music was playing overhead. Our server, Michaela, greeted us with a smile and good energy. She took our drink order and to see if we already knew what appetizer we wanted, which we ordered the Cactus Blossom. I saw they have new dirty sodas and got a Strawberry and Vanilla Cream with Sprite and it was super delish. Hot rolls and cinnabutter were dropped off and shortly after, our Cactus Blossom. Thus far, everything was tasting great. Then suddenly, the ladies came out and did a line dance for the diners. I was into since they were line dancing to the song, Foot Loose, lol. That was fun to watch! For my entree, of the 3 dockside choices available (see pic), I went with the 5oz Grilled Salmon with 2 sides. I was already getting full and ordered the smaller portion, but they do offer an 8oz portion. The 2 sides I picked were: sweet potato with butter and brown sugar and mac & cheese. My roommate ordered the filet mignon and rib combo with his sides as a cup of chili and fries. The salmon with lemon pepper sauce was amazing! The grill was just right and the sauce was light, not thick, and really flavorful. The sweet potato looked and tasted great. The mac & cheese lacked flavor and should have added the extra cheddar when she asked me. My roommate said his meal was great and that the cook on his meat was spot on. No one showed any understanding, offered to check whether there were options, or even explained the situation politely. We were simply made to feel as though we were an inconvenience and that we could not be seated for another 45 minutes since there was eight of us. We were not expecting to be seated immediately or to skip ahead of other guests. We only expected basic courtesy and a willingness to see whether our party could still be accommodated.
