Thank you Celis Movers and Storage as you did a great job moving out of our old home into a nicer new home. The two man moving crew showed up on time with a very clean new 20' moving truck. They were very courteous and easy to give instructions to. They did a great job moving the house furniture first being very careful in packing and moving. The second and third trips were for all of our outdoor trees and small plants and many lawn ornaments that we had spread out over a acre. The reason for a small truck was that our driveway is a tight access and slightly steep that a longer moving van could not make. The were very careful about taking our plants, pots and lawn furniture. As it was a short local move to our new house there was not much time lost in making several trips. They worked nonstop from 8AM till 5PM without not even taking time out for lunch. The company is run very professionally with excellent working staff and Rolando handles the initial communication and estimating is very efficient. I have used two other moving companies recently and Celis Movers is by far superior in quality and quantity of work. I would definitely use them again for any moving or hauling as they can charge by the hour or by the job. read more

The end of May 2022 We used Celis movers for a very stressful move from a country property in Sebastopol to Santa Fe New Mexico. We have lots of art, antiques, books, crystal, dishes etc.... they were not only very accommodating but handled our stress wonderfully. Not a single thing arrived broken. thier qoute was the best we got and they were creative with us as a big truck could make it down our road in Sebastopol. that meant moving everything twice. Rolando was great to work with and came out to our place several times. For a large move I cant say enough praise for them! also no funny stuff like added charges at the end and the same crew who loaded us in Ca. unloaded us on NM. good solid honesty the whole way thru. read more

The house was packed and emptied in no time. They also own reasonably priced on-site storage pods, which made moving much less stressful, given that I am in between homes at the moment. A hidden gem. In need of a local Northern California move and cross country move to Florida. Called multiple (5) nationally known moving companies, all of which had extremely rude, condescending frontline staff. Was advised by all "good luck finding anyone....why did you even call....don't you know this the busiest time for movers"). Earliest available.bookings ranged from 6-8 weeks out. Came across a local company, Celis Movers, on an internet search. Someone answered the phone immediately. First question was "How can we help you?" Rolando immediately began asking detailed questions, listened intently, and addressed EVERY concern. He was able to juggle schedules around to meet my urgent needs. Donaldo & Sacramento were the team assigned to me. They arrived on time. Had excellent Covid precautions (provided proof of vaccination, masked, frequent hand washing). Reviewed the contract tgoroughly with me prior to beginning the job. Very polite, professional, efficient, extremely hard working. They are a local company but can handle out of state moves as well. Rolando at Celis provided us with a very attractive quote -- considerably less than another local company that subcontracts -- and when I was worried we had more boxes than initially predicted, we discussed it with Rolando and there was a minimal cost increase. After quoting a very good price through Yelp request, and saying they could move our hot tub with two men, they then said it would actually take four and charged us for 45 min travel for all four men each way. That more than quadrupled the cost. Felt like a bait and switch. They did a fine job with the work itself but I think should have quoted the travel cost up front and been more realistic re the staff needed. read more

We used their storage for 3 months. Our furniture survived their handling, trucking and storage virtually without a scratch. We were moving from Santa Rosa to the Sacramento area. We asked for quotes from several moving companies and did extensive reviews of the posted feedback for each of them on Yelp and other sites. We looked for companies that had virtually zero negative reviews and Celis met that requirement. After getting all of those quotes we chose Celis Movers because everyone we read and who spoke about them had nothing but positive feedback about them. They were also a very reasonable price. Since we had already packed many of our own boxes they structured their quote with separate packing and moving quotes for us. We hired their packers to help us finish up our packing of boxes on a Friday. For their hourly packing fee they also included all of the boxes and packing materials they used. On Saturday afternoon their mover team arrived and packed everything up into their trucks. But we were impressed by how they first literally spent several hours wrapping everything in blankets and making sure everything was fully protected so that it would not be damaged before they started loading it. I kind of expected as soon as they arrived they would probably immediately start putting things into their trucks, but instead they packaged and wrapped everything for hours before starting to load their trucks, which was a good way to make sure our furniture and other items were well protected. Several items like our Captain's bed and a large computer desk had to be disassembled and they handled that right. On Sunday they arrived early at our new house to deliver everything. They are very efficient and put everything where we wanted it. They put back together the beds and desks that needed to be reassembled. For our large Captain's bed it was hard to get it positioned and assembled right in the room, but their whole team came together and they took the extra time and effort to make sure it was right for us. This was great moving experience for us. No major problems at all. I would recommend Celis to anyone. Very friendly, hard working movers at a reasonable price. We would use them again and will recommend them to friends. read more

Could not be any better. I was literally amazed at the efficiency of their team, their commitment to go above and beyond and their attention to detail. I moved from Rohnert Park to Santa Clarita without incident and all for a reasonable/competitive price. I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job. The owner was there himself for a lot of the process and even offered to bring me a half dead plant that he had put in his vehicle to ensure it was safe. I told him it wasn't a big deal and not to worry about it. He called me less than a week later and told me he was in the area and could drop it off or reimburse me. Once again, amazed. I would absolutely hire them for an out-of-state move again (or in-state if we still lived in CA). I would not hire them for packing services again. Details below. I hired Celis Movers for an out of state move (CA to OH!). It was a big move: from a 3-BR home (roughly 2,000 sq. ft.) plus a garage filled with bicycles, camping and watersports gear. Rolando and his team loaded their truck, drove our belongings across the country, and unloaded into our new home. They took great care to avoid any damage to either home when loading/unloading. And they were FAST. Loaded roughly 4 hours, and unloaded in roughly 3. They were stellar. Top-shelf. Five stars, without hesitation. I also hired Celis to help us pack our kitchen, and our "master" bedroom and closet ("master" in quotes b/c our two oldest children were sharing that room). This team was less than we hoped, and far less than stellar. They complained about the work several times while at our home packing, and those complaints were renewed when I spoke to Rolando in-person on truck-loading day (the next day). The packers complained they shouldn't have to pack toys (our oldest children had a couple of toys they left out in their bedroom, the "master" BR). They complained the kitchen packing was "more work" than they expected (Rolando came to our house and quoted the work; I do not think it was more work than he expected them to do). Unpacking the boxes at our new home, it looks like maybe they had sent one experienced packer, and one who had no idea, and apparently the one who had no idea didn't ask for help. About half the boxes packed by Celis were done very well: plenty of packing paper and/or bubble wrap was used, no room in the boxes for things to rattle, etc. The other half were...ahem, not so good. We found our butter dish packed with the butter still on it. We found boxes with fragile items inside and no packing paper or bubble wrap. We found delicate items crushed under weight of heavy books. It looks like one person literally did not care about doing a good job, at all. All that said, the packing services were less than 1/10 of the total services we hired Celis to do. The delicate belongings damaged by poor packing were all sentimental items, for which monetary reimbursement would be meaningless. If I could give a 4.9 rating to more accurately reflect our experience, I would. But Rolando and his team did such a great job with the actual move, that I think a 5-star is still deserved. DO NOT USE CELIS MOVERS. DO NOT STORE ITEMS WITH THEM. THEY WILL NOT KEEP THEIR WORD AND WILL NICKEL AND DIME YOU UNTIL YOU ARE PAYING MORE THAN WHAT A PROFESSIONAL MOVER WOULD CHARGE. 1. The wife of the owner Rolando came to do an inventory - she noted everything to be taken. When the movers came, they said they would not take certain items. I had to call Rolando several times until he spoke to the moving guys to take the items his wife had already agreed to before. VERY STRESSFUL. 2. The movers came with a small truck, admitting the larger truck was elsewhere. Hence, a lot of furniture that was supposed to be inside the truck was left outside on the liftgate, secured with ropes. Hoping everything made it to the destination was VERY STRESSFUL. 3. The wife of the owner said my wife and I could just call and arrange a time to retrieve items from the Celis storage unit. However, the one time in a year we requested to retrieve a few boxes, Rolando told us it would cost $65 for someone to be there to open the unit. CELIS LIES. VERY STRESSFUL. 4. When moving our items out of their storage unit, Rolando said it would cost $165 on moving day for someone to open the unit, otherwise they would not release our items. None of these fees were included in the contract. MORE LIES FROM CELIS. 5. The week before moving, the owner Rolando sent an email stating I had only paid 50% of the moving amount. That was entirely false - 100% of the delivery amount and 100% of the first month's storage fee was paid on pickup of items. MORE STRESS. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Celis Movers this past weekend! My husband and I recently bought our first home in Cotati. We had received word from our flooring contractor on Wednesday that our floors would be complete by Friday, so I got to work contacting movers hoping I could find someone to move in Saturday. Many of the movers I contacted were already booked for the weekend but Rolando responded right away that they could move us the next day if we wanted. The process was incredibly easy, the price was competitive and the movers he sent to assist us were AMAZING. They moved everything from our 10x10 storage unit (that was packed full) into our new home within the agreed upon 3 hours. They were incredibly quick and very careful, especially when moving our furniture up our tight stairs! I had the pleasure of working with Celia Movers in October of last year. I underestimated how much work it would be to pack up my mom's apartment and my tiny loft. They came and gave an estimate for packing at my mom's, then my place. They gave great advice on which items wouldn't survive moving and which pieces weren't worth taking with us. Two men arrived on time. They packed the items I requested quickly but carefully. They packed and transported my items over to my mom's place where I had two pods. Then they proceeded to pack all our stuff into one pod!! There's no way I could have packed all that stuff into one pod. And it arrived in Kansas intact-nothing broken! I almost cried when I realized I could have hired them to pack and move us to Kansas. I'd already received and sign for the pods before I found them. Moving sucks. It suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. There's the hassle of packing, storing all the bits and pieces that mean so much to you into boxes, and having it hauled away to their new location. If you're selling a house at the same time, it sucks times ten. Thankfully though, there are companies like Celis that make it that much easier. Thanks to some stellar Yelp reviews, I gave Rolando a call and was glad I did. He was over in a flash to give us a very competitive quote, and was able to move schedules around to make the move as easy as possible on us. The guys did arrive almost two hours late for pickup which would ordinarily have seen me knock off a star, but they more than made up for it on the other side, basically being on standby while our realtors and mortgage guy/title company worked to get us our keys on the day promised. But once they got the green light, the trucks rolled to our new house, and everything was unloaded in just a couple of hours. And the cherry on top - zero breakage. None. Not a bit. Everything is top shape. I sincerely hope that the next time I move it'll be with me in a coffin - but when that happens, I'll have the wife call Celis to lug my carcass out of here! read more

This is an overdue review. We had an excellent experience with Celis Movers two years ago on a local move. Rolando responded quickly to my request for quote Mon 12/17 and was able to help us move Wed 12/19. I wanted an hourly instead of a fixed bid and he was able to do that. I explained what I needed, and he estimated 3 movers for 5 hours. I was a little surprised that the minimum was 5 hours, that seemed like a lot to me, but Rolando was spot on - it took 5 hours 15 minutes! The 3 movers showed up at 7am on the dot and they were super hard workers and super fast and super careful the whole time. At first I thought that they were pricey but after seeing how hard and fast they worked I feel that it was definitely good value for the price and worth every penny. Highly recommend! read more

They came through on a last minute emergency when the original moving company had an equipment problem when their truck broke down Orlando came to the rescue they could have charged me anything they wanted because I was desperate!! Yet his price was the same as he would have charged me any other time, on top of that I got excellent service with movers the were cautious, considerate and super efficient.
