DO NOT GO HERE. Not trustworthy. My story: I broke my screen and took it in to Cell n Trade to get it fixed. The man behind the counter asked me if I wanted a screen protector on it and I said yes, but he didn't explain anything about it besides that it was really good. So a week goes by and my son drops my phone on the tile and the screen cracked again. I lived with it a few days and then took it back because the man had said there was a 30 day warranty and I thought there might be a slim chance they would replace it since it had only be a week or so. So I went and told him I had broken it but since it was within warranty I thought maybe it was covered. He took my phone and was looking it over and said "oh, so you broke it again? Right? Well I can't replace the screen if YOU broke it, only if it's defective. It'll be $80 to replace, but I can do it right now". I told him I couldn't do it that day but Id be back. He said "are you sure? I can replace it now." but I didn't want to spend $80 so I left and told him Id come back later. Well, yesterday I got to talking to a friend about how I broke my screen and they asked if id ever tried glass screen protectors, that they are great. I had never heard or seen anything like this but the conversation made me take a look at my phone later and I very quickly realized I HADNT broke my screen at all, only the glass screen protector. It peeled right off, very easily and my screen is FINE. Moral of the story: This company wanted to charge me $80 for a screen replacement when he saw that it was just the screen protector that had cracked. Very shady. They will not be getting my business from here on out, and I will be telling friends. read more

We took my son's iPhone in to find out why it wasn't charging. They changed the battery, but then noticed it wasn't charged as much as it should be, so they checked the charging port. This is not your typical fix-it place. It's hard to find a place to trust. I've taken my gadgets to other places before - quoted one thing, then later told the problem is worse and it would cost more. Classic scam. But not here. These guys are very honest. They opened up my ipad while I was there and told me exactly what the problem was - how much it would be - and when to pick it up. There were no surprises. I found them through Groupon. When I went in the lady said that they honor the Groupon price even if I didn't buy the Groupon. I was like awesome! I dropped my iPad (which the screen was cracked really bad) off around 2:30pm. She said that it would be finished the next day. I did a little shopping and on my way home she called me and said it was ready! It was about 5:30. So I went to pick it up and looked great! They even put a screen protector on for no extra charge. There are so many places around that provide poor service that when you find one which is exceptionally good, you feel compelled to write about it. First, it's just the right thing to do and second, you hope that would play a small part in keeping them in business and thrive for the good of all customers. One such place is Cell N Trade. A few months ago, I had my iPhone battery replaced at another outfit. It acted up right away so I went back and they put another one in which was not any better. The "new" battery drained out even faster than the original 3-year-old battery (which I thought was already bad enough to be replaced.) A week ago, it suddenly died in the middle of an important phone call (some 4 hours after being fully charged.) That was the last straw. I needed a new battery. Based on my last bad experience, I was very gun-shy about replacement iPhone batteries, but right from the first phone call to Cell N Trade, the manager, Nick, was very professional, articulate and knowledgeable. When I got there, it was not one of those dingy hole-in-the-wall cell phone repair shops but a big, bright store with a whole array of cell phone supplies. The battery was replaced so fast, within a few minutes as I stood there waiting and chatting with Nick. It has a 30-day warranty and the price was very reasonable. The battery has been doing well, at this moment still holding plenty of power, more than 24 hours after it was last charged. Now I know where to go for all cell phone needs for me and my family (and best of all, the place is only 1.9 miles from my home!!) read more

I purchased service from Groupon for my first time and it was too have my cracked cell phone screen fixed. $57 was immediate charged to my card prior to me actually going to the store, Cell n Trade, a few days later. I originally called to inspire about the process of using Groupon and the time frame for having my phone fixed and ready. I was told as long as I brought my phone and dropped it off by 11:30 am it would be ready for pickup by 6 ppm the same day. I worked 16 minutes from the location which is why I decided to use their service. I figured I drop it off during lunch and pick it up after work. I called a little bit before 11 am the day I would come in only to reconfirm the information I was given being that I actually live an hour and 6 minutes away without traffic.  I was then advised they would try to have it ready by 6 pm but couldn't promise. I then explained phone was needed for work, my time frame, my home and work distance, and that I would at least need a loaner phone in order for them to reach me when the phone was ready and to continue my daily routine using a phone. The guy immediately asked what kind of phone I currently use, I replied Samsung, he then immediately said yes we have loaner phones. I agreed to come in that day and arrived within the hour.  When I got there the manager assisted me, explained they would try to have it ready by 6 pm but if not he promised I could picked it up by 11:30 the next day. I showed him the Groupon receipt from my phone then he immediately charged me roughly $10 tax and confirmed it was tax owed from the original price and not the discounted price I paid on Groupon. He was very unprofessional and unwelcoming about giving me a loaner phone but it was too late to change my mind about giving them my business because I paid via groupon.He first said he didn't have a phone thatmy sim card could fit in then I came to look and saw plenty phones from where he was looking and pointed out plenty but he said he was selling those phones. Finally he somehow used another piece of plastic to rig and force my sim card in a much older smaller phone. I finally left then called that evening and was told Unfortunately it won't be ready for pickup until tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning I called around 11 am and was told it still wasn't ready but I can come pick it up at 3pm. I called back at 3pm and was told to give them another hour, I called back at 4 pm and was told one more hour, I called at 4:30 and said I was on the way but was told then needed more than an hour.  I arrived within the time they requested and was told give them 30 mins. While waiting I asked about cases and found a used charging phone case the manager sold me for $50. An employee finally walked in the store with my phone and the manager immediately put my new case on my phone. I stood there to Google information about my new case and found it brand new exactly the same for $12.99. I showed the manager and he then said okay $30, I replied no thanks, then he said finally okay what do you want to pay, and I kindly declined. While leaving he kept saying make sure I leave a good review and I told him I would. Later that night I made a few phone calls to realize my sensor no longer worked properly because my screen stayed black/off during calls no matter what buttons I pressed nor if I wasn't holding it to my ear.   So now the only way to end my calls is to make sure the person on the other I end hangs up or I have to take the battery out and restart my phone. I called the manager and was told how does he know I didn't break it or that it wasn't broken before I brought it to them and they fixed it. What sense would that make because that means they should have fixed it if it was broken because that's included in a cracked screen/glass replacement repair. But it was never giving me problems before I used their services only to find out they take the phones to another store to get repaired which is why they couldn't guarantee a time frame. Now they want me to leave it with them the day before Thanksgiving and come back possible on Thanksgiving.  I asked for a refund or even just half my money back and have been very rudely denied and told to have Groupon give me a refund. I will never use Groupon again if this is the service I must expect. Now I have to start from square one with service elsewhere. Groupon shouldn't just let anyone use their services and now I have no one to own up and take responsibility for my situation. read more

I'd give negative stars if I could. I had a shattered screen right before a trip and needed immediate repair. While they were able to accommodate my urgency and were polite, I had to return the next morning as soon as they opened (on my way to the airport) so they could fix it again. The phone became completely unresponsive. They "fixed" it so I thought and I continued on my trip. While on the trip my service became very hit or miss. I'd have service then nothing. I was traveling with my children so I was left feeling uneasy. Turns out they put on a very cheap replacement screen and didn't even connect it properly. The main connection was cut and only connected once in a while. I was unable to send texts and make phone calls. This cost me $100 and stress. I ended up getting a new phone. Apple looked at my attempted trade in and declined it because of this issue. I'll never go back there again, they don't know what they're doing. read more

They fixed my cracked galaxy for $40 when another place was asking for over two hundred dollars to do it O_O. They look at what needs to be fixed, and do the job without trying to upsell you on other things. The only thing I have to say is i wish theyd have called me back as soon as the repair was done. I gave them an alternate number and they said theyd contact me when it was done but they never did. I had to call them to check on it and found out it had actually been ready to pick up for a while. I highly recommend Cell N Trade for all your electronic, phone repairs etc etc . Nick, the manager is friendly, personable, knowledgable and very accommodating. The first time I went in, I called and he was leaving to go out for lunch , but said that he would wait for me if I was coming right in. I needed a battery for my iPhone 5. When I got there, he did it in about 10 minutes. He also told me that the iPhone 5's had a design flaw where they did not disconnect from power after being fully charged and can become overheated. (I had had the phone for 2 and a half years) . After a very reasonable charge of $35, I took it home and was very careful not to overcharge, until a week ago when I left it charging overnight by accident. I started having problems a couple days after I updated my operating system. So I assumed it was the update that was causing problems. I called Apple and was on the phone for two hours. They did a diagnostic test and determined it was definitely the battery and advised me to take it back to where I got it to see if they would replace the battery they had installed. I called Nick and he told me to come right in and he would replace it without charge, even though it had been over two monthes and it was the same problem, and it wasn't any wrongdoing on their part. He said letting it charge too long even one time could overheat and damage it. I will definitely be more diligent this next time with my charging practices. I would NOT recommend this business! I took my phone and my daughter's phone in for screen repair. After spending over $190 for both phones, neither phone worked. I took mine back first and he said it had water in it and he cleaned it out without charging me. I've never dropped my phone in water. However, it still didn't work - the keys were not working. It's working for the time being and hopefully it won't give me anymore trouble. Before I could get my daughter's phone back she dropped it and it had a small crack at the top. He said he would fix it for $69! I told him I didn't think I should have to pay for him to fix the phone- I didn't ask him to fix the screen - I know that was my daughter's fault. The phone was working fine with the cracked screen before we took it in. It is not working at all now which has nothing to do with the crack. It never worked after he "repaired" it. He asked me what I would do if I were him- I told him I thought he should fix it for free since he's the one that broke it. He said he would not do that. I am furious! I will never to business with this company again and I am posting this so that other people will not be taken advantage of like we were.
