Extremely Disappointed - Poor Installation and Zero Accountability I had a brand-new HVAC system installed by Cellino HVAC on Friday, March 28, 2025, and the experience has been an absolute nightmare. From day one, there were red flags. The techs burned the new pad while soldering at an excessively high temperature, then had to repress fittings that didn't catch the first time - a major no-no in HVAC work. Two days later, the system started making an incredibly loud noise, like an explosion or as if a car crashed into my house. I called immediately, and a tech came out Monday, March 31st. Without even pulling out gauges to check the pressure, he guessed there was probably a leak in the lines. Not reassuring at all. The next day, April 1st, they attempted to vacuum and refill the system with no success. It was then discovered that they had installed the wrong coil - one that was too small for the condenser, causing dangerously high pressure. Carrier confirmed the mistake. They tried to replace it but were told halfway to the supplier that the correct coil wasn't available. The next day (Wednesday), they returned with a new coil and spent the entire day trying to clean the lines with nitrogen and vacuuming - again, with no success. Thursday, yet another team came and did the exact same thing, still with no resolution. Finally, Friday, April 4th, they reinstalled everything - a new coil, line set, and condenser. That's six full days of me being out of work, and not once did anyone offer a discount, refund, or any kind of compensation for the time and stress. To top it off, the final install was just sloppy. One tech stripped all the screws on the coil because he couldn't be bothered to align the lid properly and just forced the screws in with a drill. He dented the side of the brand-new coil and bent the plenum completely out of shape with bulges and leaks everywhere. Instead of fixing it with new metal, he just slapped on tape like that was an acceptable solution. Cellino HVAC's workmanship, communication, and customer care are unacceptable. I regret hiring them at this point. I called the HVAC manager with my concerns especially how they completely destroyed my back yard and wasted 6 days of me working and he could care less and said oh well it's "Buffalo Weather". How about if it was installed properly the first time my yard wouldn't he destroyed. He didn't even bother to offer to fix it. I had to call back and speak to some other manager who at least tried to hear me out. I have yet to even receive the new warranty email for the new coil and condenser they installed. Hopefully I get that next week. If anyone bothers to read this I would appreciate my warranty email, someone to please come level out and reseed my yard and at least try to justify my time spent and the stress this caused me. And actually have someone fix the plenum properly and not just hide it with tape. Not to mention not allow workers to vape in someone's home and cover my stairs and basement with mud read more

We had to have the sewer pipe replaced, from the cleanout to the main. It was a big job and we got three bid. Cellino wasn't the lowest, but they were clise and we have used Cellino for many years and have always been happy with the quality of work. Our furnace died on one of the coldest nights this winter. I called and left a message at 1:00 am. The next morning, Cellino returned my call just after 8 am. They came, assessed that our 1980s furnace was now finally dead, and came back the next day, first thing in the morning, removed the old behemoth of a machine and installed a very nice new furnace which is purring away as I write this review. They worked really hard the entire time they were here, especially since they had to take the old furnace apart to get it out of the basement! We had a similar experience last year with the hot water heater. They also fixed an old toilet of ours that three different plumbers had not been able to. I highly recommend this company. CELLINO just did an excellent job installing my new tankless hot water system. My comment relates to the warrantee on it. The Mfg has a very strong One covering equipment only--not labor. CELLINO gives just a 1year labor warrantee, unless a customer signs up for a monthly cost for their service plan (which includes some routine mice visits and a 10% discount on the original purchase.) In my opinion, given the excellent durability this product offers, and the very generous equipment coverage by the mfg, CELLINO could and shd be more generous with labor coverage read more

We had a small leak from the sewer pipe in the basement, under the bathroom. I called Cellino because of the great reviews, and the fact that it's a well known business in this area. They arrived within the 4 hour window that they gave me, checked out the leak and the clean out, and told me that in their opinion, there was a clog somewhere in the main line. They recommended a cable snake in the main line, costing me nearly $500 but assured me that it included a free camera inspection which they would perform the next day, saying that the camera was not on the truck they brought. I allowed them to use the cable snake and they didn't hit any major clog. But again, they assured me that they would be back the next day with the camera to figure out the issue for sure. The next day, a different guy showed up with the camera. He was not personable at all, scoped out the main line from outside and left without saying a word. He called later on and said that what he found was that our main line was filled with roots and was nearly completely clogged. He quoted us $12,000 to re-line the existing pipe and clear out the roots, assuring us that a full clog was imminent. Obviously we didn't jump at that price, we actually waited a few months and no clog, no backups, just a tiny drip from under the bathroom. I called a different plumbing company and their guy came out, took one look at the pipe and under the toilet, and told me that the flange under the toilet was slightly separated, causing the small leak. I told him that we were told it was a root intrusion outside, so he checked the clean out and said there was no evidence whatsoever of any kind of clog. He replaced the flange on the toilet and sure enough, no more leak. Cellino nearly cost me $12,000 for a totally unnecessary repair. They didn't even mention the separation in the flange. I would never call Cellino for any other problem, especially plumbing! $12,000 later and my issue still wouldn't have been resolved, because they immediately jumped at the worst case, most expensive scenario. I recently had this company come out to service my A/C. The tech took the system offline to troubleshoot and determined it needs parts. After he left, the system was no longer working in zones that were working before his visit. When I reached out for follow-up, for the tech to bring the system back to the way it was before he arrived, he basically told me I would have to pay again for his visit or basically wait for the part to arrive; with no estimated date. Our initial reaction was great -- five stars. Then Cellino followed up by offering a free photo inspection of the main line. Great. The photo inspection revealed that there were massive root balls at the end of our sewer that would require $8500 in additional work because the replacement job (by Licata, not Cellino) left some clay tile between the PVC and the main line. I'm not happy about this revelation regarding Licata's work, but, by the way, why did Cellino leave the massive root balls when they cabled out the sewer two months ago? read more

Cellino Plumbing had the task of working with HEAP this year of placing in Air Conditioners. I live in a Senior Complex, and I have HEAP the technician that came in told me to give it a couple of weeks to see if it would cool down my place, well it doesn't, not only that it sounds like it is chewing on ice! I called Cellino and I spoke to a person her name was let's say Jo! As soon as she heard the word HEAP, I became a second-class citizen to her, she told me it wasn't supposed to cool the whole apartment just the room that it is in. And the point of having one is? And the noise I ask? Someone will be out Friday! Time? Between 8 and 4.I am to wait all day for someone to check out a a/c that doesn't cool the whole place? this Jo person was so rude, she just hung up on me, guess she talked to this second-class citizen long enough I would not recommend this company if their staff in the office acts this way.
