Came here with my mama and we had a blast. One of the best if not the best pizza in Cleveland. The mozz cheese was incredible. I would eat it all day if I had access to it. This was my first time coming to Cent's after hearing good things about the pizza. The inside was very cute, with interesting decorations. After we got seating, which was outside by the corner, we noticed that there were an abundance of ants. The timing from placing our order to receiving our pizza was close to an hour, the majority of which was spent killing as many ants as possible. We ordered the Gorfunkel, which was good and light; however, the ants returned with a vengeance with the food. Overall, an otherwise delicious meal was soured by the long wait times and the uncomfortable atmosphere. Would recommend ordering takeout over dining in. read more

Cents got a good write-up recently in the "Plain Dealer," but we were disappointed. The Shroom pizza, we must say, was great, with wonderful flavor and a very thin, crisp crust, but it was $22 for a 12" pizza (our favorite place is about that price for a 16"). The Deep House Salad ($12) was advertised as containing endive, frisee, cilantro, dill, coriander, and aleppo, but we saw and tasted nothing but a large mound of the frisee; no cilantro, no endive, no dill, no coriander, no aleppo. The PD write-up said Cents offers bottles of wine at much less than usual restaurant prices; when we asked for a wine list, we were told that they had a French white blend and a Bordeaux; we were not told a price, but were charged $15/glass, for a fairly good wine, which we thought was inappropriately high. We had house-made tiramisu for dessert; it was delightfully cocoa-y, but had no coffee or liqueur flavor at all and was too moist. The bill totaled $88 for two people, plus tip; we felt that was way too much for the dinner we had. Oh yes, and very loud music was playing, a mirror ball was spinning red lights around the room, and we sat on backless stools, none of which helped the experience. This was such a great meal! We came here at 5pm on a Friday, and we were the first ones in! Get here early, because by 5:30/6, it was pretty packed. The vibe is trendy with lots of old school vintage items for decor, and the staff is super friendly! There are a good selection of beers on tap and in cans that you can peruse in a fridge before you select one. We started with the wonder bread and the stracciatella. The bread is so wonderfully puffy and chewy, and it goes great with that cheese. For the pies, we got the Mr.White with red pepper flakes and red onions, and we got the Sunday gravy with pepperoni. Both pizzas were really good. The crust is thin, crisp, and not greasy. The Mr.White was probably our favorite of the 2, but we loved how crispy they got the pepperoni on the Sunday gravy! We thought the price for all of that food was also very reasonable, especially considering the quality! Overall, we were impressed and thought this was some of the best pizza we've had in Cleveland. This place is making the best pizza in Cleveland and probably all of Ohio and possibly in the entire Midwest. Their dough recipe is godly. The wonderbread is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Pair it with the stracciatella for the best cheesy bread of your life. Every time I take a bite I say, "how is this so f**king good?!" When I eat here, I feel like I'm eating at a 5-star restaurant without any of the snobby/yuppie vibes that generally go hand-in-hand with fine dining. The dining is very casual but the interior design is elevated in a cool way to let you know you're about to get awesome food. Some people may even say, "iTs a vIBe!!!" it is though so they're not wrong. The people that work here are so incredibly nice and accommodating. They were really busy (Friday night) and no one seemed stressed or in a bad mood at all. Must be the result of working for/with cool people and most likely paying their employees well! The timing of our salad, bread, and pizza coming out was still perfect! If you think this place is "too hipster" for you: get over it - we all know hipsters make the best food. Would people call me a hipster? Probably yes. Or even worse, a "foodie" *cringe* Bottom line: everything here is good. Food, drinks, appetizers, and they even have nice wines, olive oils, magazines, apparel, and other goods to buy up front. There is not a single item in the restaurant that is low quality. Everything is of the highest quality and is clearly curated by people with great taste for food, drinks, design, overall aesthetic, and probably just awesome people in general. Let me start by saying I've traveled to many states and many hours in search of the best pie. There isn't a better pie west of NY (even then I'm not sure it isn't better/hold its own). Easily the best dough/crust anywhere. This crust is heavily charred but not burnt; crunchy outer layer with a perfectly cooked center. This is the foundation for any great pie. I had the Mr. White on my first trip there and I've had white pies all over the country and this is the best I've ever had! The owner is here creating what can only be categorized as witchcraft (cooking amazing pies) with a very modern/hipster vibe. I saw pics of Cent's online and thought the cute retro vibe was unmissable. I was not disappointed! The thin crust pizza was tasty with fresh toppings. The char was a little more than I prefer, but the vibe and cute patio made up for it. Do not miss the wonder bread. It's fluffy and salty and amazing. The butter alone is worth going for. This place was a hidden gem. I say hidden because the outside of the building doesn't look like very much but the inside is a cool vibe! It's modern. They played good music and most importantly the food was amazing. We tried the wonder bread and the straciatella. The bread was so good! The stracietella was a good accompaniment to the bread.
