Funny that this is the Center Bar that I must have checked in when I was @ the Excalibur because looking at the photos on here this is the Center Bar inside NYNY, I was actually @ the Center Bar inside Excalibur......ugh! But I have been to this one before & service is always a hit or miss when sitting up @ the bar. Some bartenders are more attentive than others. This place always seems to be really busy when I've been inside NYNY casino area so it can be hard to get a sit esp @ the bar if you want to drink & gamble. read more

There's a super sassy Asian bartender thats extremely rude. I recieved a drink voucher for being turned away at the sports booking 3 times because their system was down and would freeze. So after waiting the 30 min to get verified for the betmgm app, I got turned away again because the computer logged him out, and then finally I got turned away again because there was a system error where they misspelled my email address by 1 letter. After it got verified the guy working the counter thanked me for being so understanding and patient and gave me 2 vouchers for the Center bar one for me and one for my girlfriend. I thanked him and we left to go to the Center bar. I get there and I asked a bartender "excuse me, is this the Center bar? And can we use this here?" In which he replied "Yes. What do you want?" I said "Can I get a White Russian?" To which he said "I'm not making you that, at least not for that ticket" with the attitude of a straight diva. I thought to myself welp there goes your tip. So I told him okay, can I get a beer then? He asked me what are you looking for? I asked well what do you have? He then replied more aggressively with what are you looking for? I knew he didnt have what I wanted but I said it anyways "do you have 805?" So then he opens the fridge and says nothing. I ask can I get that modelo? He grabs the modelo opens it and asked do you want lime? I said yes please then he asked me again do you want lime? So I said yes. He then slams my beer on the counter and walks away. Leaving my girlfriend drinkless and unattended to, luckily there was another bartender there who saw this go down acted like he wasn't listening and then cleaned the bar right next to us where he was an ear shot away. So he served her a coke which he asked if she was 21 and of course she is so it wasn't a problem and then she handed over the ticket. But this bartender that served her was a white dude with a shaved head and he was very kind. But to the that sassy bartender in what world is a white Russian a premium cocktail? Because thats the only reason why I could come up with why he wouldn't serve me that. Like I could understand if I ordered Louis, an A.M.F, or like a 4 horseman but its a white Russian. I never said it had to be a specific vodka or anything; so he could have gave me well vodka. He was so sassy for no reason, I didnt do anything to him and it wasnt like I was a sloppy drunk as that was my first and only drink of the day. read more

Strong drinks and reasonable for Vegas but not very good drinks. Bartenders not very talkative. It's loud and smokey because of the casino but you can play at the bar and drink. read more

We visited this location during covid, so everywhere was at a low capacity. I don't know what this place typically looks like, but it was a perfect place to visit in between bars and eating. It is, yes, centrally located in New York, New York. If you play the casino video games, then the drinks are free. I mean, you definitely need to tip, but as long as you're playing, then you can drink. I ordered a couple Bloody Mary's and they were pretty decent. Not mind blowing, but they did their job. I like that there is a hand washing station right outside of this bar. read more

After coming out of the piano bar the DJ and music was calling us. DJ was spinning fire that Saturday night!!! Located right in the heart of the casino you will hear music from all over. No cover so we just walked in and started dancing with the others. I really liked the set up with the couches too, very lounge like. Our group spent plenty of time here on a Saturday evening. It is tough to find a place to take 12 people without reservations so Center Bar seemed like a logical choice since it was the only place that could take us in without standing room only. A lot of interesting people pass by this bar (including our group) so it is a good place to lurk....err, I mean people watch. If you're looking for a club scene (which we were not) this won't be your place. That didn't stop the dude in my picture as I'm pretty certain he though he was out clubbing (not a part of our group). Damn if I could only post the video. :-( There is definitely some techno music going on at this bar so why would you go to clubs when you can just dance on the couches?? For the most part, it is what you'd expect. Pretty low key and highly priced drinks. That didn't stop us old men from showing the youngins how to party. Very nice, spacious place to relax your feet or spend time talking with your friends while you have a few drinks. Initially, we were at the craps table wanting to play until a very rude red headed, short hair, older drinks waitress pushed her way pass my sister and I to "take care of her customers". Little did she know we were trying to tell my mom and uncle, who were already in the game & my mom was rolling, to move down so we can jump in too. We let her squeeze past us, despite she was literally shoving her way through us while pushing her tray against my sister without waiting for us to step aside. We moved anyway. I asked my sister if she wanted to just get a drink from the bar and come back and push our way in to play. Next thing you know waitress turns around and says "I'm not pushy, you can ask anyone around here." I'm like wtf? is wrong with you I'm not even talking to you?! My sister is already shaking her hand at her like enough already, what is your problem? I was shaking and pissed off and because of this I don't think I will ever be back to this hotel. I love M Life, but not this hotel anymore. I have never been treated like this from a drinks waitress in all my trips to Vegas to any of the hotels. Long story short, we walked outside to calm my nerves. We were contemplating on whether to walk the 15 minutes to Aria and just have the rest of of my family meet us there. Instead, we went back in to play some arcade games upstairs to wait for my family (This was September 2, it was too hot outside!) We decided to go back downstairs in the casino since my mom was calling me to see where we went. She felt bad at what happened and wanted to just go to the bar and buy us some drinks. I had the Brooklyn drink which was reaaaally tasty! I highly recommend! Juno was an excellent bartender and very friendly!!! We sat at the couches to finish our drinks because I did not want to play at this hotel anymore. After our drinks were done we headed to Lemongrass in Aria and played there instead. Overall, this bar and the service I received was 5 stars. Although, I give the 3 stars for the overall service from the hotel where the bar is located in, which caused me to never want to return here. Wish I could give zero stars but as you know, it's not an option. My African American mother stood at the bar to get the bartender's attention in order to purchase drinks for us. The bartender did not acknowledge my mother once, while he continued to converse with other guests(white couple). My mother decided to sit down on one of couches next to me and a white man walks to the bar in the same location my mom was standing and the bartender immediately ended his conversation with the couple and assisted the white gentleman. Had I known NYNY was so racist I would not have booked a stay here. I was Extremely disappointed with this whole situation. It is, literally, in the center of the New York New York casino. I love the fact that the bar is round and that you can watch the casino floor from the bar. You get to take in the full casino while stopping to have a drink. The bartenders are friendly, and they keep your drinks full. They play some fun, classic and current music. All-in-all, I enjoy the bars in NY NY and Center Bar is no different. I'm surprised by other reviewers who talk about rude bartenders. Love this bar! I always have so much fun here. I usually come on Fri-Sun's and they usually have a live DJ. The DJ's are usually spot on.. and play a wide variety of music. It's a chill spot to have a drink amid all the chaos... and people watch. Definitely a place to come to without paying a cover charge and get your drink on, while listening to some decent music. Skip this bar. I wanted to like it here.....great location, plenty of TV's and video poker. So, has all of the basics covered. However, the bartenders here are just plain awful. My usual experiences with bartenders in Vegas is they are fun, sociable, and overly friendly. These guys look like they are mad at he world, not just a for a fleeting moment but for hours....and both of them. If you are miserable, don't work in a customer service job. Plus, the video poker machines at this bar are all old and the buttons stick so just forget this bar. Go to the other smaller bar by the entrance - more fun and the machines are newer. read more

It's the bar in the center of the casino. Open 24 hours. Bartenders were hit or miss. The best ones were usually late at night showing why they got the better shift instead of the 7am shift. Great place to start and end your night if you're staying at the NYNY. If you're looking for a dive bar or a club scene, than this is NOT your place. However, if you're looking for a place that plays upbeat music, offers plenty of TVs, video poker and plenty of seating, than this is the spot to be. We had a group of 15 come to town (and stay at the NYNY) to celebrate a surprise 50th birthday and out of the neighboring properties (Excalibur and Monte Carlo) we constantly found ourselves coming back to this spot. For three nights we started and ended here. With the location being in the center of the casino, it draws a wide variety of people and offers appeal to everyone. CONS: The bartenders did not appear as though they were into their job at all and the drinks are pricey (specialty cocktail $11.50 and a bottled beer $9). If you plan to sit in one of the surrounding but comfortable couches, be prepared to purchase two drinks minimum per person. Well where shall I start, I was actually staying at the New York New York Casino for a few nights already to begin with and figured I wanted to try the center bar downstairs since its already there. Now I must say the bartender helping us out that night was very nice and courteous but unfortunately it's the drinks themselves I'm giving the 2 star rating for... I had ordered a cosmo drink but it was insanely watered down and tasted extremely bad even mentioned it to the bartender and all he said was "awwww are you going to hurt my feelings like that!" And never thought on remaking my drink or anything and since he was being very nice I felt bad so I didn't say furthermore anything else so unfortunately not the best place to come for drinks & I'll just leave it at that read more

This was our "go-to" bar in Vegas. Always had a fun...young crowd that wasn't too young. I would say the average ages were thirty-somethings. The bar had the best music...I mean, you couldn't help but dance around while sippin your drink. I had moved from the bar to the little seated lounge section, and when I sat down, spilled my drink (which I had just ordered and hadn't even taken a sip). I realized that I had set it down on a part of the table that was not level (barely visible on the glass tables). I walked up to the bar and explained that my drink fell over, which was totally not my fault. I mean, it was my second drink. The bartender sweetly smiled and made me a new drink...no hesitation. He made the drink and did not charge me...saying that sometimes people do not see the little edges on the middle of the glass tables. This made me love this place even more...I will definitely go back every trip to Vegas. read more

False advertisement!! The internect mentions this bar as having a HAPPY HOUR Mon-Thurs 4-8pm but when you get there the bartenders mix you a weak handed drink in a 8 oz. glass for 9.00! When asked about the happy hour they kind of looked away or down and say "we did away with it". No wonder you guys were empty.....my group won't be coming back here. read more

I spent a lot of time in this bar at New York New York. The drinks are reasonably priced, there's video poker machines at almost every slot at the bar, and the lounge area is a great spot to relax a bit and take a break from gambling. I had a dirty martini and a bloody mary here and both were excellent. If you find yourself at New York New York and need a break from gambling / running around town I recommend you take a half hour and enjoy the Center Bar. read more

My husband and I were having a great time at the slots on the Casino floor but decided to play the video poker at the Center Bar for a change of scenery. We sat down and each of us put a twenty in a machine. The female bartender put a napkin in front of each of us, then pointed at each of us for our drink order. We gave her our orders and she walked away without ever saying a word to us. She brought us our drinks and said "$22." My husband responded that we were playing and the drinks should be comped. As she walked away with a surly look on her face she admonished us that we should have told her that in the first place. Um...Us pushing the buttons and the cards changing on the screen weren't an indication? Needless to say, we played only until we finished our drinks, then cashed out...Without leaving a tip which is something my husband NEVER does. We love NYNY but will steer clear of this bar on future visits. read more
