I placed a to go order by phone. When I arrived, I saw they have added a drive thru, but there were a couple of cars in line, so I parked & went in. Instead of going to the window, getting my food & ringing me up, they told me to go get in the drive thru. So even though my food is ready, I am having to wait in the car line while they prepare the other cars food; almost 10 more minutes. I just got home & opened my order & it is partially incorrect; not what I ordered or wanted. read more

I can't rate this a 5 star because i only go for the hibachi grill. I've eaten off the buffet but still fill up on hibachi as i can pick exactly what i want in my dish! When i go i head straight for the grill and skip the buffet & sushi bar. Sometimes the hibachi line is long but it's worth the wait. I'm allergic to shrimp so i just let the chef know and he makes sure not to toss any near my food since they cook three meals at once! One thing i think they could improve on is, since they've opened, there has never been a friendly hibachi chef. I can imagine it's hard working with that heat and non stop stirring and cooking, but a simple response or smile would be nice! Other workers are always friendly!! Doesn't stop me from going! Love me some Hibachi Grill! They have a huge selection for a traditional Chinese buffet. They always have boiled shrimp available and Crab Legs for dinner and weekends. Also they have a nice sushi selection. Over all it has everything you could want. However, the reason they get 3 stars ...they need to be cleaner. The bathroom is always in need of TP, soap or paper towels. The place just needs a good cleaning. read more

So I rarely go to buffets but when I want something quick and my appetite is big, sometimes I make a stop. I find that busy buffets are pretty good because the food doesn't sit long. I also appreciate healthy options which is why I gave them 3 stars instead of two. They are clean which is also a plus. I didn't like their sushi, it wasn't fresh or tolerable for even a buffet (shocker) except maybe the imitation crab stuff. Also many of the dishes were lukewarm instead of hot. I assume this is so they keep longer on the bar, but it was a turn off for sure. I am more likely to just go to Sammy's up the street next time and pay a little more for much better food. *edit* Their wings were really good.... read more

We visited last night after work. The staff was rude. They would not stop bothering us and let us eat. My granddaughter and I had to leave hungry with food left on our plates. This was an amazingly good Chinese/American buffet for value and quality. Lately it has become increasingly risky to eat there and I have stopped going altogether. The owner/management does not put the customers safety and experience first anymore. They and certain parents allow young childerns to help themselves at the steam and chill tables whether it be by utensils or hands. The parents are first to blame for not keeping their children at their table and not fixing their plates for them. I watched children between 4 and 10 years old mixing foods/utensils into different containers and putting some back with their hands all while staff/kitchen staff watched and did nothing preventative before, during or after. Management is second to blame for not addressing the issue with signage and enforcement. Most buffets don't allow children under 12 to help themselves. It was then I stopped eating and left with little intention of returning. I have little respect or care to patronize a restaurant that does not care about visible hygiene issues and possibly hidden hygiene issues nor the safety or expectations of their customers. This is becoming another Golden Corral where the animals have taken over with their uncontrolled chillerns and turned the buffet into a hog trough and the experience that of a barnyard feeding frenzy. read more

Ok, here we go again with th typical "Chinese" Buffets. It starts out great when they first open and then does not even go on a slow downward spiral, it just drops off the map like a meteorite hit it. It was great the first few months and is absolutely unfit to eat there now. The service is non-existent, want a refill; better go find your server or do it yourself. When I want Chinese food I do not expect to find a whole cart devoted to french fries and other Amercian foods that have been sitting around coagulating like a bad science project. Cleanliness is an issue, when I can see 100 smudgings around that make a CSI unit confused; it alerts the bacteria monitor in me and scares the hell out me. read more

Great selection of delicious food! Definitely recommend. For a family of 4, we paid $50 on a Friday night.. Didn't get to try the hibachi grill but that's for next time. Loved the sushi selection. The shrimp dish I had was my fave (sorry can't think of the name) but the shrimp tasted so fresh that I had to go back for more. I promise to take pictures next time :) my kids loved the potato skin, steak, ice cream etc. It was just an awesome experience and everyone was friendly! do not eat here. absolutely horrible. found hair in my food and they proceeded to tell me there's nothing they can do about it except take $3 off my bill. then proceeded to tell me to go eat more. Why would I go eat more after being disgusted by finding hair in my food. read more

Went on Father's Day around 2 pm. The place was still very full. We normally look forward to eating here. The food was not up to par, or what we are used to. Many of the serving dishes were empty. People were standing around waiting for the seafood dishes and then they would put about 1/2 of what was put out on their plate. The egg rolls, which are normally great, had a lot of gristle in it. The lo mein was cold even with all the people at the bars. We will go back because maybe they just couldn't keep up with the crowd that was there. I sure hope so. Me and grandma was eating up there but my mom drove us up there..I can't walk around right now because I got into a car accident on February 20th of the year 2016, and my mom was just listening to me, about what we wanted to eat and I said I want some Chinese food for lunch so my mom got one of the plates and the people who work there were very rude to my Mom. Every single time my mom wanted to go ahead and look for the food for me they kept asking her was she eating. They watched her like a hawk thinking she was stealing food but she was helping me. Their buffet stays full and stays busy... this is a quick fix pick! Its ready and I'm hungry! I can never eat more than one or two plates so I am guessing the MSG is present! For the price I imagine getting more food....I'd rather eat a Girasole that's in the same parking lot! Great friendly service, generous portions (I can take home) amazing food, full bar!!!! Central buffet is one of the worst buffets you could go eat at . They're service is horrible and the food is cold . I just went recently . They were discriminating My daughter because she is growing and taller than the average kid . They asked for her age up front we honestly told them . We have no need to lie . It wasn't only her but her cousin is that is a male of the same age . The ladies up front in particular one with black short hair , older women , and black hair with orange ish highlights. Get harassing us getting closer invading my personal space just because they thought we were lying of the kids age . They started saying thing very furious. While my kid and cousin ( both kids ) were grabbing their food . The older lady came up to them asking if they were really the age they said they both answer yes but the older lady still refuses and starts yelling and pointing to a paper . The other short hair waiter goes to my oldest daughter to ask how many adults which it was only me and her and the two kids . Great deal for a Chinese Buffet. For$10.95 you get the buffet, Korean Stir Fry, and sushi. Had rainbow, spicy tuna, and tiger. Buffet had many choices, including fried shrimp and frog legs. Also had a varied choice for the dessert area. Great value read more

Never a long wait for a table. There are so many options on the buffet that you could probably not try them all in one sitting. Some of the items look like they have been there all day and when stuff does run out it takes a really long time for them to refill it. The service is always good. read more

At first, this place was great. A refreshing new Chinese buffet in the Baton Rouge area... Good selection, food tasted delicious, and the fried rice was really good (I'm a sucker for good fried rice). My family and I live in Central so we eat here fairly regularly, at least once a month. I feel pretty confident in saying it's slowly gone downhill from day one. The smell outside is not very appealing at all. It smells like rotting pork and is so offsetting that it makes it difficult to enter the restaurant. The selection is still okay but the food is sub-par. The oysters sit out for hours and are dry. The sushi is always room temperature and discolored (brown instead of green avocado, etc.). Plates are dirty, glasses are frequently gross, stickiness everywhere... We usually go on Thursday or Friday evenings and every time, it's the same thing. On top of all of this, they have Pepsi products. In short, I used to love this place. It used to be fantastic. Now, it's worth it to pay $5-10+ more to go to Nagoya across the street. read more
