The server had a bit of a difficult time remembering the order immediately after being told it, but me made it out just fine. No food for us, but the pizzas others had looked decent. The beer offering isn't huge, but it's curated well enough with good local Austin beers, so everyone is happy. The burger was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and incredibly satisfying. The side salad was fresh and generous in portion, which made the whole meal feel well balanced. Really enjoyed my visit to CMW! The wait at the inside bar was a little longer than I'd prefer, but the staff was working hard to work through the mass of patrons. Bartenders were impressively efficient. While I wish they made their old fashioned with bourbon instead of rye, it was surprisingly good. I hear the beer is great too! The outdoor venue was big enough to fit a good amount of people but small enough to make it intimate. They have a bar outdoors too that was a lot easier to get served at during the show. This is a tough one for me. If I could leave 2 reviews I would; one for the food/drinks and one for the ambiance. The food is is . The kitchen and bar staff are impeccable and deserving of the highest rating. love them. If you don't have sensory issues or don't notice when places aren't as comfortable or as well thought out as they could be, then you're going to be just fine. I happened to come on a day with a live band and that is what's lowered the rating. Not that they had a band outside, having music is not an issue. I choose to sit inside. However my indoor seating choice didn't seem to matter as far as noise goes. I've got to say, there is no reason or need to pipe the band into the indoor area at full volume. The doors are open. The band is right there; anyone wanting to hear or watch has free and easy access to the huge outdoor seating, and would be able to hear it just fine without the intervention of a sound system. For anyone who would like to relax and have a normal conversation indoors, you're out of luck. I feel a little sorry for the staff; service industry is overstimulating enough without whoever designed the sound system willfully making it worse. read more

The sprawling space holds quite a crowd, and can even handle moshing (which I saw during the recent Die Spitz concert). Three shows and many nights spent here, all have superb sound with different vibes depending on the crowd. I love that they partnered with local nonprofits and the food bank instead of charging a cover for shows. Food service with a buzzer is usually fast.
