    Carne asada tacos $14.
    Scott P.

I live within walking distance and come here every once in a while. Not much of a tequila or margarita guy but sometimes the mood strikes. The ambiance is lovely every time I come. Great outdoor spaces for warmer weather, and the inside is always packed and lively. Most recently came on a Saturday night in October with a few friends. Our waitress was excellent. Wish I remembered her name! She was incredibly attentive and also patient when we were being indecisive on food and drinks and needed more time. I loved the mezcal I ordered, which is hard to find at other bars I've been to, so it's my go to drink when I come here. Our one friend ordered two different margaritas and didn't finish either one, though. She said they were too sweet. I really enjoyed the carne asada tacos I got but wow they were small. The picture doesn't do them justice. Definitely more of an appetizer than a main meal. Overall great spot in a town with lots of incredible restaurants. Definitely worth checking out.

Was in the mood for tacos. Forgot it was Taco Tuesday. The place was mobbed. Tacos came out very slowly and I found them disappointing. The fish tacos were meh, the piece of Cod was thin as a finger. The $2.00 tacos were a better deal.

I would gladly travel for these tacos. I've visited Central Taco and Tequila a few times over the years, and I'm always very pleased with it. On my last visit, I was surprised and delighted by some new seasonal tacos on the menu (but I had to go with my fave - The Crispy Fish). It was nice to know there was a veggie option. Service was great, as usual. The only potential issue is that there was a DJ, and the volume from that made it a little difficult for us to communicate with our waitress and each other. But maybe that's just a Friday thing.

Food was very delicious. And the mocktail was so good. Wish they had hard shell tacos though.

I came here with a group of five for lunch and we were seated right away. Walking in we got to see the outdoor seating area that is set up with plenty of tables, lights, and even games. The inside of the restaurant has a casual vibe, as there was a bar and TVs at the front of the restaurant. When we were seated we were given waters and chips and salsa for the table. Later on, our server also gave us a pitcher of water to refill our waters ourselves. I ordered the Avocado Crunch salad and also added chicken. My expectations were not very high, considering the restaurant specializes in tacos, though I loved my salad! The chicken was cooked and seasoned well, the vegetables were fresh, and the dressing was delicious. Two other people in our group also had the Avocado Crunch salad and we all agreed it was excellent. One touch I loved, was when one member in our group asked for a box for her tacos, the box that was given to her was specially made for holding tacos! I would have to come back again and try more items on the menu in order to raise my rating, but overall we had a great experience!

What can I say, Central Taco is my new fave place! I hosted a small group and everything was on point. Manager Mary Kate and our server Kate (plus several others) made sure our table was happy and well-fed and thirsts quenched. We went here for the first time last night and had a great experience! There was no wait and we were seated outside. They had a DJ playing music starting at 6pm for their "Fiesta Friday". They started us with complimentary chips and salsa. For drinks we had the strawberry pineapple margarita and the jalapeño margarita. The strawberry pineapple margarita was good but it wasn't strained enough, so it was very thick. For tacos, we ordered the shrimp coconut tacos and the shrimp and chorizo tacos. Both were very tasty! We loved this outdoor setting and the tacos and would highly recommend!

Margaritas were good. Guac and chips were good. Would not come here for tacos. We got the Quesabirria Tacos and Al Pastor Tacos. Very dry. The birria consomé was thick and tasted a bit like bbq sauce. Definitely not authentic tacos if that's what you're looking for.

We enjoyed a meal here since it was a dine and donate for the library. It was fun to try the margarita flight but it was confusing that the menu specifically said to ask about making your margarita into a mocktail, which I did and they said they couldn't do it? Also, the tacos took over 1/2 hour to come out. However, the salsa and quesadilla was very good.

We stopped in on a Saturday and were seated right away. It was a chilly day out so we opted to sit inside even though they have a heated deck. Our server was sweet and we noticed the bar to be relatively empty. Our tacos were good and they have gluten free options on the menu! The drinks were fair, nothing crazy. They had popular sweet options. Probably would stop here on a whim but I wouldn't make a special trip here. For the area it's decent "mexican" food. TLDR; good chain-y mexican food. The have specials throughout the week, tv's inside, and outdoor seating for when it's nice out.

We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

There's two dining areas that can be chosen with one having a bar that can seat 10+ people. Started with a couple of great drinks and their french onion soup. The soup was topped with a cheese layer and pieces of crostinis within the soup. Great for a snowy day. The california chicken wrap was a big meal especially with the flaky french fries on the side. The sandwich needed more chipotle mayo on the side which was great for the fries. My medium rare wagyu burger with the bacon jam was HUGE! The jam did taste like beef jerky which was a new experience. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items.
