After my dentist retired, we had a little global pandemic, and then things got busy and ... in 2026 I brought them a mouth some California dentists wouldn't touch without hundreds of dollars in X-ray and lab fees up front. Then wouldn't touch. ​ In two days of care, they replaced a complex crown, did four quadrants of deep cleaning, and filled an embarrassing number of cavities. I paid about two and a half Gs for what I was quoted elsewhere for between $6K and $10K. This is dental work under local anesthesia, so some pain from numbing is expected. They have a deal with a chain hotel in easy walking distance that has an included breakfast with soft foods and a UV water dispenser on every floor. From my initial contact on WhatsApp, to their offer to Uber me to the office, to patient intake and detailed assessment including head CTs (!), 3D modeling (!!!), photography of teeth and individual tooth x-rays, and the competence of the clinical team... I don't believe this level of dental care is available in Estados Unidos. If I have a friend who needs dental care, I will cheerfully refer them here. Note: WhatsApp and Uber are essential tools in Tijuana.​

I thought I'd be getting an extraction and implant, as I was told that I'd need a root canal and crown on this tooth.. But dr Ricardo was amazing and actually managed to fix the issue and save the tooth from root canal. I am truly grateful and loved the staff and all I met there. My friend just accompanied me as it was my first time going to Tijuana and walking in and she lives nearer in San Diego and does trips there more frequently. She ended up getting a cleaning and night guards the same day-- gratefully they could fit her in around my appointment. It was such an excellent experience for both of us! Highly recommended. They quoted me $2,000, which just didn't seem right. I wasn't in that much pain and that seems like a lot of money. They did provide photos of the damaged tooth, though, showing that the work needed to be done. But I didn't want to pay that much. So, I did some research on tiktok and found Washington Dental. Reached out to them via email and they setup a nice appointment for a Saturday. Crossing the border is easy and if you tell the people at the border crossing you're going to Washington Dental, they'll give you a lift for free and WD will pay. (but, just be sure to confirm this first with your driver). Checked in, and waited five minutes and then they called me in. The whole process took maybe 45 minutes each visit (it takes a total of two to do it), and here I am, 2 months later with a few extra bucks in my pocket and a new crown!

Their office is located in an upscale professional medical building and the pictures on their website are of their actual office. It was as nice or nicer than any dentist office I've been to in the U.S. Everyone I met was friendly, professional, and spoke English well.
