Cool Ranch Wings Strawberry Mango Twist Margarita (soft serve)
    Emanie M.

Came to Centro to try the Soft serve margarita I'd seen all over social media and boy was it delicious! We got there around 6pm on a Tuesday and were able to get a table fairly easily--it's seat yourself situation with a digital menu. For drinks we got the Strawberry Mango Twist Margaritas and also tried Cool Ranch wings and Birria crunch wrap--all of which we could come back for! If you're looking for a fast casual Mexican restaurant and bar, Centro is the spot!

Centro on Quincy St definitely passed the afternoon vibe check. The soft serve margaritas were AHMAZING -- smooth, refreshing, and perfect for a daytime outing. The tacos weren't bad either, flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. What really stood out was the service. Everyone was beyond awesome, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Good drinks, good food, good energy all around.

Centro is a great, more casual spot! Street parking is usually no problem, even if you have to walk a block. It's conveniently located next to other restaurants, bars, and breweries. Service is quick, and the food is exactly what you want.

This was first time at this location but my second time getting Centro. We went on a Saturday night and got a table right away but it wasn't cleaned off yet. You seat yourself so most people were snagging whatever spot they could get. You order at a QR code so there isn't actually a server. They had water you grab yourself but it was on the other side of the bar and not in an obvious location. So just be aware that it is there but you might need to look for it. The food came quick. My friend got the cool ranch wrap and chips and queso. I got the cool ranch wings. Their chips and queso is very good although I could do without the onions and jalapeño on top. The wings were alright. I wasn't really getting that cool ranch flavor and it tasted more just like your standard dry rub. I wasn't a fan of the ranch itself. My friend didn't care for her wrap as it was cold and she felt that the chicken was actually raw/undercooked. She also didn't get any cool ranch flavor come through: Not sure if I'd recommend this place or need to come back but I have had their quesadillas which were good and I did like their queso.

Stopped by Centro with a friend while in the area and it didn't disappoint. I would absolutely recommend the Centro crunch and the frozen espresso martini. While it didn't necessarily taste like an espresso martini and more so chocolate ice cream it was fantastic! We sat at the bar, the staff were friendly and attentive. Such a fun place to get drinks or dinner with friends they have a nice outdoor area and tons of seating inside. They only have to-go parking in the lot behind the restaurant but there is plenty of street parking nearby. Can't wait to come back!

Went to Centro in Northeast to try the new soft serve maragritas! They were phenomenal. I had heard of other places claiming they had soft serve margaritas in other states and the consistency just wasn't right, but this consistency was perfect. We sat at the bar and had great service. The vibe of the restaurant was fantastic, and the food was great. We ordered the Dirty Yuca fries (not pictured, forgot to let the camera eat first)c but they were fantastic!

Centro absolutely nailed it. The ambiance alone is worth the visit. The pink cowgirl Christmas theme was perfect for a girls night. Festive without being over the top, and refreshingly different from the usual holiday decor you see everywhere else. Ordering is done right at your table through their web ordering platform, which was super easy to use and honestly a game-changer when you want multiple rounds of drinks or food without waiting. We tried the enchiladas, quesadillas, burrito, and a rice bowl, and every single dish was generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. If you're going specifically for the holiday decorations, I'd recommend getting there early. The Christmas setup is in a smaller room off the main restaurant with limited seating. We went on a Monday night at 5 and had no problem fitting our group of four, but by the time we left, every table was full (but there was some open seating at the bar). Off-peak timing is key if you want the full Christmas experience. If you're looking for a fun and festive restaurant this season, Centro is definitely worth adding to your list.

Everything we ordered from here was delicious. The soft serve margarita is so fun and yummy, I'm going to be thinking about it for a long time. I loved the ambiance and the service. Overall 10/10 experience.

Happy Hour Hotspot!! The $9 margaritas and chips & queso are so good! We were surprised how strong the drinks were! The outside patio is great for people watching and enjoying the few last nice days of summer! Service was fine, but not exceptional like it usually is. The servers and food runners barely talked, but service was very fast! We will be back!

Went with friends to try out the soft serve margaritas and they were delicious! Nice drink, not too strong. Chips and queso were good as well. Staff were friendly. Ordering is done through a QR code and staff bring it out to you. This is fine but it's a bit tedious to have to pay each time you order, would be nice to have a tab that you just pay at the end.

Visited 12/29/25. Okay first off the country Christmas theme that centro came up with this year is ICONIC and was loved by my friends and I when we visited. Only in part of the restaurant but we were lucky to snag seats in that area due to it being a Monday night and bad weather. Definitely the high point and was super fun to see. As always with this area, parking can be a bit of a mess and in this case it worked better to ignore the area directly on this street and instead to park a block over in residential parking. To start I ordered the chips and dip trio for the table and a beer. They have the QR system which I think works well for centro as a whole. The trio was kind of lack luster and while the queso was solid, the guac didn't taste very fresh and the chips were pretty greasy. I also got the birria crunch wrap and while I I typically don't like to complain about having a lot of meat, it felt like I was just eating meat in a tortilla with no other textures or flavors. Would likely try something different in the future because I was missing freshness or other textures. They definitely were getting closer to closing time which is completely fair, but they kept trying to clear plates and drinks before we were done with them (my friend didn't get to finish her margarita because it was cleared before she could say anything). Centro has such a cool model and vibe so I wish it so much continued success, but across a few visits two different locations I have yet to find things on the menu that I really love.

    Tacos Trio and Fish Taco

Service - friendly but limited interaction because you scan and order from your phone. Ambiance - relaxed bar feel. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Nice decor inside. Food - Tacos were the winner (especially the fish) but I am giving an overall 4 star because the crunch wrap meat was not warm which was surprising because they brought out the food as it was ready and this was the one we waited the longest for. The tacos and chips made up for it because they were very tasty.

It is a very lively colorful chill vibe. I loved it! The staff were so welcoming and casual. You go in, seat yourself, and order by the QR code at your table. The food was nice large portion per person and very flavorful. The show stopper are their Margarita soft serve drinks. Delicious!

Relatively easy to find, though you do have to hunt a little bit, Flora Room sits behind a nondescript metal door leading down a short hallway to the entrance. Take a long moment to allow your eyes to adjust if you're coming before sunset; this space is DARK. It's also perfect. Once your "night vision" kicks in you're surrounded by a nice bar, numerous bistro-style tables and booths. Candles adorn the tables creating a nice, cozy place to settle in for drinks. Once seated in comfortable chairs at a table, we were quickly greeted and provided with menus. The cocktail selection is relatively "small" but really nicely varied. Prices seemed a tad steep but frankly, given the quality of the drinks I'd say quite worth it. I started out with the Evita, a nice flavorful gin-base cocktail topped with a nice egg white foam. Very tasty. My wife opted for the Tapaculo, with gin, mezcal, pineapple, banana and bitters over ice. Also quite good. There are also bites available from the associated restaurant I can't recall the name of mine but I can say it was delicious. Bread-like bites with a really tasty dipping sauce. To close out the visit I selected Palo, a smoked aged rum cocktail that was really nice and rich. My wife chose the Nahualito with rum, walnut, amontillado and white chocolate. All should be on your radar. Flora Room really fit the bill for a nice, intimate speakeasy-style spot to spend time. Dark and cozy. Savory cocktails and friendly service will stand out and make you want to return. I know we'll seek it out if we return to Minneapolis again. I hope so.

Fortunately, I arrived at 5:30 PM on a Saturday, which was early enough to avoid a line and a velvet rope. I don't wait in line for anything unless I'm at a pharmacy, bakery, post office, or airport. Lines at restaurants and bars strike me as pretentious or bad management, and I don't tolerate either. However, I'm old, and at my age, nothing is worth waiting for unless it's a necessity. I found a seat at the beautiful and expansive bar and looked around at the Del Prado design. The colors might be different, but Flora was reminiscent of Minari and Noma. All three add to the Twin Cities' cachet. However, I was taken aback by the attire I saw around me. People were dressed in shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers. It's friggen Saturday night Minneapolis. Have some class! Flora Room was a lovely cocktail lounge, perfect for wooing, but don't expect to strike up a conversation with any of the bartenders. At these Del Prado joints, the staff must be trained not to engage. I'm out alone and enjoy talking. Bartenders used to be part of a lounge's attraction when I grew up in NYC. They learned your name, knew what you did, and gave you a hearty welcome. That, I guess, is not part of the culture in Minneapolis. Well, at least not at the Del Prado restaurants and bars. Chef Del Prado is from Argentina, and certainly, Argentina is one of the warmest and friendliest countries in the world, so I don't get it. I now live up the block from the Flora Room. I'm a neighbor and would like to be treated like one. Neighborly and the Flora Room are distant concepts.

Seems like the hostesses direct people waiting on a spot there to Neon Tiger while they wait. We were able to snag one of the last tables after we ordered (there are about 5 tables for 2, and 3 standing bar tables from what I remember). The menu isn't large - it has a couple of beers, some basic cocktails and lists spirits and mixers. The only new and exciting thing on the menu is their slushy cocktails. Good news is that this place isn't very pricey, but the portions aren't huge. My small espresso martini was $12, my boyfriend's beer didn't quite look like a full pint but was only $4. We did laugh that it was called Tiger piss. The espresso martini is good, but beware there's no actual cream liquor in the drink - they seem to squirt some foamy concoction from an unmarked squeeze bottle in a fridge on top, which was interesting. Overall, would come back here if I was bar hopping for cocktails - but wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. Great idea to send people here while waiting for Public Domain!
