I've slowly been getting into matcha and love finding new places to try. My sister took me here and I instantly was a fan. I especially love their strawberry matcha latte with oat milk.

    - Menu: a lot of matcha and hojicha options - Drink adjustability: can adjust milk or sweetener - Seating: small shop, 4 tables/8ish seats - Outlets: none :( - Parking: street parking - Features: restroom, water/wifi available upon request I was craving a solid hojicha and my Bay Area friend brought me here. I just tried the hojicha latte half sweet, and it was a solid drink, good amount of flavor without being overly earthy. Servers were nice enough and the drink came out quickly. Vibes are nice, but be aware that for working, there are not a ton of tables and no outlets, so you run that risk if you come here with your computer to grind (like myself).

Love love love their matcha einspanner !!!! So creamy, so rich , and so velvety. Perfect drink for before, during, or after a meal. You have to get it with the open lid and either mix everything together and/or eat some of the matcha cream on top. Service is always pretty quick. I've been here several times and always waited less than 10min for 2 drinks~

REALLY GOOD MATCHA OMG. They are definitely super busy on weekends though so we ordered it for pick up before arriving. We got an osmanthus matcha latte and an earl grey matcha latte, both with oat milk and 50% sweet. Their drinks are on the sweeter side so 50% was perfect. The matcha flavor was so strong and it complemented the earl grey/osmanthus flavor really well. I want to go back to try the other drinks because they all look so cute!! Ratings Earl grey matcha latte: 5/5 Osmanthus matcha latte: 4.5/5

Incredible matcha drinks, and their coffee drinks are pretty solid as well! I've tried a few drinks from here, and like their mango matcha latte (sunny side up matcha) and osmanthus coffee latte the most. The matcha in all of their drinks is very concentrated and flavorful. The Vienna coffee latte and banana pudding matcha latte are also solid options for those who like creamier drinks (as opposed to milkier drinks). Service can be a little slow, and interior is cute with natural lighting.

Banana Pudding Matcha Einspanner -- creamy and banana flavor was great, the little bits of crackers made it taste delicious. Earl Grey Matcha Latte w/ Einspanner Cream Top -- adding a cream top added to the flavor of the earl grey! Earl grey flavor is prominent! Einspanner is thick and fluffy! Quick service and einspanner was great!

This has officially become one of my go-to spots whenever I'm on Burlingame Ave. I find myself coming back every time and somehow always leaving with at least two drinks. They've really grown into their space since opening. Any early hiccups are completely gone, and everything now runs smoothly and efficiently. Ordering online is super easy, and by the time you get there, your drink is basically ready no wait, no stress. As for the drinks, they're consistently so good. The matcha flavor actually comes through strong (not watered down at all), and everything is really well-balanced. My personal favorite is still the banana pudding matcha einspann, it's rich, slightly sweet, and just hits every time. I also just tried their new raspberry cream matcha, and it's just as good: fresh, flavorful, and honestly kind of addictive. If you're in the area and like matcha, this place is 100% worth a stop.

Yummm!! I've had this place bookmarked for a while, so finally decided to stop by since I was in the area. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm but the line moved relatively quickly even though there was only one kiosk available. It was great that the menu was displayed on the smart TV for everyone to see as we were waiting. I ordered their signature drink - Strawberry Matcha Einspanner with half matcha shot, lactose free milk (extra $.80), and 50% sweet. Really enjoyed the intensity of the matcha and the delicious strawberry cream foam. The dried strawberries gave it a nice touch. A bit disappointed that they charge extra for a different type of milk for people like me who are lactose intolerant. The inside is small but there are a few seats available. Downtown Burlingame is a great area to take a stroll, grab a bite to eat, and hang out with friends for a drink.

Super happy to see Cere tea expanding beyond the South Bay! Quality is pretty consistent to what I had before - it's not the best matcha I've had but it's definitely a solid option in the Bay that I would revisit. The San Mateo location feels a little barebones even though they try to make the decor note. But there's some seating which is nice.

    Hojicha Einspänner and Matcha Einspänner

Ceré Tea introduced me to Einspänner Matcha and Hojicha. To be honest, I didn't know what an Einspänner was at first, but it tasted great from my first experience and that sealed the deal for me. I've also tried the Earl Grey Latte as well, but I think the Einspänner is the winner. I've tried it with varying sweetness levels for the drink base and I think it goes better with a lower sweetness percentage. I personally prefer the Hojicha Einspänner but if you're a Matcha lover, I would try that one first. They also have seasonal flavors so don't be afraid to mix it up. Service is dependent on store traffic so you could be waiting anywhere from 5-15 mins for your drink. My only issue is that if you order in advance, the drink typically sits on the counter with the other completed drinks exposed. I would prefer it to be covered or in the fridge but maybe it has to do with the cream on top. Otherwise, this is a unique spin on tea that I like to have when I'm in Burlingame.

3.5/5 My friend and I got the Strawberry Matcha Einspanner ($7.75) and the Double Matcha ($8). Their drinks are definitely on the sweeter side and while we got both drinks at 50%, it was still very sweet and dessert like; if that's up your alley, then this is the spot for you. If you prefer a stronger matcha place, definitely go lower than 50% sweetness! They have wifi and 3 tables for WFH vibes. They also have a little nook front area with lounge chairs for yapping.

Wow I totally get the hype and agree that this is up there for me in terms of matcha drinks in the bay area They are so good!! Their einspanner drinks are so good and such good matcha too. I'm not sure if I actually need the extra matcha but you can order your drink with extra matcha! The banana cream for the banana einspanner is so good too! I'm definitely thinking about it again as I am writing this review. Street parking, couple tables for seating, delicious drinks - I need to go back soon!!

Great Einspanner spot near me! I love that most of their signature drinks are Einspanner. I ordered the Black Sesame Matcha Einspanner with oat milk at 50 percent sweetness. It was my first time trying black sesame and matcha together, and it was so good. I highly recommend it. It is perfectly sweet and nutty. There is not a lot of seating, but it is still a small cozy spot to stop by, sit, and relax with a great drink. Parking is mostly street parking, with some lots in the back and around the area. Since it is in downtown Burlingame, it can get very busy. I will definitely be back to try more Einspanner drinks!!

Maison Alyzée is a French fine pastry bakery café located on downtown Burlingame's main strip. Dedicated to providing customers with a Parisian escape through handcrafted elegant pastries and artisanal breads, the bake shoppe doubles as pâtisserie and boulangerie, priding itself on meticulous attention to detail. Upon entry, we were welcomed by a brightly lit and very clean venue. Ray and I were immediately drawn to the beautiful marble-topped white counter that encased a gorgeous variety of exquisite treats. The commitment to the elegance of French culture and modern creativity were evident in every luxurious pastry and cake on display. Maison Alyzée is an order-at-the-counter establishment, so we made our purchase with a friendly staff member at the register. Unfortunately, we were told that espresso drinks were no longer available that night since the staff had already begun cleaning the machines. Ok....I never understand businesses that start shutting down things before closing time. This just shows customers that team convenience of closing shop quickly takes precedence over customer experience, essentially omitting availability of items from the menu while they are still open. For this reason, I am docking a star. Luckily, they still had some cold brew available, so I ordered a Lavender Cold Brew with oat milk. Heads-up: Plant-based milks like almond and oat milk incur a $0.75 surcharge. I wish that the lavender was more like a simple syrup, so that the flavour was sweeter and less sharp. Maison Alyzée also offers a selection of breakfast, lunch, and brunch options. I definitely need to return to try one or two or a few of their ostentatious delights.

Thankfully, we didn't order any food or desserts, or coffee. While we were there, I witnessed something that was extremely concerning. A staff member came out of the kitchen wearing disposable black black gloves and walked into the restroom. Several minutes later, he came out still wearing the same gloves and immediately went to the dessert display case. He then rearranged individual desserts inside the display touching everything with the same gloves, then he grabbed a green towel from the espresso station to wipe down the glass, and even used that same towel to wipe the floor and wall around the case. Afterward, he folded the towel and placed it back on the espresso machine's frother area. Throughout all of this, he never changed his gloves after leaving the restroom. Basic food safety and hygiene practices are important for a reason, and it was unsettling to see such a lack of care. My friend and I were very relieved that we hadn't ordered any desserts or coffee. Overall, this was disappointing and left us with serious concerns about the establishment's hygiene standards.

I used to order their bagels and chocolate croissants regularly but when they say order ready by a specific time, do they mean the coffee only or the entire order? The coffee is always right on time but the food requires several reminders. Today, my order was supposed to be ready at 7am. The coffee was there but the burrito and chocolate croissant were not yet. I checked with the barista at pick up. She had tons of coffee to make. The barista told the cashier who passed by regarding the burrito but the cashier disregarded her and continued grinding beans for the fireman or whatever she was doing. I checked a second time at 7:04am with the barista. The barista went over to put the burritos a minute or two later and when the cashier was done grinding the beans, she went over to take it out of the warmer. The time I left the store was 7:08am. This happened the last 5x we ordered food there. I understand the mornings are busy but people pick up according to the mobile order ready time on the app . Being late once or twice is understandable but consistently late means there is a pattern. I should just stick with the coffee only with no food. I hate to bother the barista multiple times.
