I would give 4.5 if I could. My family is local to this bowling alley and we decided to check it out. The standard scoring screen is hard to read but the attendant switched it to a different style for us and it was much better. Their customer service is excellent since being under new management my sister says. I agree we had good service. The prices are really great and they offer a snack bar, snack machines, a pro shop and an arcade. I was not happy with the styrofoam cups for drinks from the snack shop. This review is for the bar and food service. Not the bowling alley. My wife and I had about a 45 minute window before a doctor appointment. We had grabbed a quick lunch at Cerbat once before so we decided to try it again. We knew it wouldn't take long to get something to eat. What happened was like the Twilight Zone. We went into the bar area and looked at the menu. The woman bartender reluctantly took our order. I say "reluctantly" because there were several locals sitting at the bar, and the bartender was enjoying herself chatting with them. "I'm not a waitress, but I can take your order," she told us. All we ordered was a burger and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. While we were chatting and waiting for our lunch, we noticed the woman who was apparently the cook made three trips to the woman's room. Well...OK. After about 25 minutes, I walked over to the bar and asked about our order. Obviously put out, the bartender said, "I told you I'm not a waitress," she told me, being snarky. I said, "I get that. You are not a waitress, but you did take our order nearly 30 minutes ago. My wife and I mentioned that she has a doctor appointment in about 15 minutes. So I'm just wondering if you could see when we can expect to be served." Without saying a word, the bartender went into the kitchen area. She returned to tell me that the cook would be out in a moment. Then she told me to go sit down while she continued to chat with her regulars.. A few minutes later, a woman came from the kitchen. It was indeed the same woman that we saw going into the women's room. She had a plate with her. She put the plate down in front of me. She said she was sorry but they ran out of hamburger patties. I looked at the ham and cheese. It had been on the grill about two minutes. The bread wasn't grilled and the sliced cheese wasn't melted. I looked up at her and said if you had told us thirty minutes ago that you had no hamburger patties, we could have ordered something else. But we are going to split this ham and cheese, and it's cold. Shrugging me off, she said, I'm not going to charge you for the burger. I asked, you have no burgers, and we are supposed to be pleased that you aren't charging us for it? And this ham and cheese is not grilled. The bread is white and the cheese isn't melted. We will have to take this with us and eat it in the car on the way to the doctor. That's messed up. She proceeded to hand me a bill for the sandwich. I paid for it and left no tip. We had to dash for the car. On the way out, the bartender, still chatting with her regulars, shouted, "Don't come back here. We won't wait on you again." All I could do was shake my head in disbelief. read more

The beer was cold, I was one of three people in the bar. The bartender was so busy doing back bar work it was inconvenient to wait on me. she and the kitchen were slow. Cerbat Lanes is one of the best bowling alleys in all of Arizona. We stopped here to bowl with some friends in the area not long ago. The place is huge with great set bowling equipment and shoes. Came here for a softball tournament and needed a place that allowed both kids and parents to relax. This place is amazing. They have an arcade and a photo booth that you would think the "let's take a selfie" kids would not be interested in... but that "retro booth" had most of their attention. Glow in the dark bowling and amazing music made you want to bowl the night away. They do have a hidden secret ... if you go here stop by the bar! The food is bar food and is a basic menu due to covid, BUT it is not greasy and does not lack in taste. Maddie is the best bartender ever. She had a full bar and was the only one serving. She remembered orders, drinks and maintained refills timely. Toward the end of the night the ladies wanted a "drink that tasted yummy and would make us feel funny"... with a wink of the eye she said trust me and away she went. We have been coming to this establishment for years and have always felt welcome. They have changed ownership and actually started taking care of the place and improving it. The bowling lanes have been updated . The bar has friendly staff and overall is a very family friendly environment. I couldn't believe what I saw the entire place was full every lane was booked and all workers were busy as heck...we found a spot to sit and watch and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. TRASH SERVICE. BASIC FOOD. HIGH PRICES. Despite all of the negative reviews I've heard about this bowling alley, I decided to check it out. Biggest mistake I made. Drinks are expensive, food was mediocre, but the service was probably the worst I've seen in a couple years. The Sunday night bartender seemed rude and aggravated off the get-go, reaked of cigarettes and I could tell she clearly hated her job, but we stayed because we already went to the trouble of getting there and I had my 8 month old with us who only lasts so long. She served us our food alright, and then slowly as the night went on, we watched her start becoming more rude and aggressive and nasty towards customers, along with her smoking cigarettes every 5 minutes. It seemed like she was extremely drunk because her communication was abrasive and at times obnoxious. Now I've heard it's expensive at this spot before but considering it was my birthday, we had already planned on spending a couple hundred. We ask for the check and the girl runs our card and sets a receipt down with no itemized copy and absolutely no communication that there was a gratuity. The bill did seem kind of high so I politely ask for an itemized copy and do the math from both receipts she hands me, but there was an extra $45 on the tab. This would have been a great time to mention to her guests why the price is different but she says nothing. I ask her why and she points to the sign that is up on the wall so far you can't read it at all, checks of more than $150 gets an automatic gratuity. I've been in the bartending industry for 10 years so I have absolutely no problem with automatic gratuities, I usually end up tipping on top of it, but communicate it's on there otherwise it seems like you're being extremely dishonest and shady. I asked her why, professionally, she didn't mention it because people might double tip her not knowing there's already a gratuity and that's basically stealing money from people, and her response was "well I was going to at the beginning but you guys completely ignored me and were in your own little worlds", COMPLETELY FALSE and extremely rude. We acknowledged her and noticed her horrible attitude from the get-go, at no point did anybody ever ignore her. We stated right away that we wanted food and gave her a drink order, and said thank you multiple times everytime she brought us anything. We were extremely kind and respectful towards her...But she decides, in the most trashy and completely disrespectful manner, to start belittling us in front of everybody that's closing out. It was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever experienced and now I understand why I've heard so many bad reviews about this place. read more

Worst customer service ever!! Why is there 3 "employees " but only one guy is working his ass off!! The 2 girls at the front desk suck!! They looked right at us and kept talking. Then they proceeded to help someone else first. We finally were attended to after about 15 minutes of waiting. We are here visiting my stepdad, that's why we waited otherwise we would have left. We needed to get change and again we waited for them to notice us. They did but kept talking. Do these girls even work?? This place isn't even that full for a cosmic night. I have always loved to get some lunch and a cocktail when I'm in town! But I knew they were changing ownership so I stayed away for about a month...I was soooo disappointed! Went to the bar, ordered a martini, stirred not shaken, dirty with three olives. She had no idea how to make it! Not only did she not stir it, she plopped my three olives in it with out a toothpick! Needless to say I had to go fishing!!! We ordered food but you can't order food from the bar, the bar tender has to go get someone to take your order from the alley, so we got our food, paid them. This review is not about the bowling alley it is about the bar. our favorite bartenders Angie she is awesome. But let me tell you this review is not a good review things change the night before Thanksgiving. My boyfriend was there drinking having a good time had a couple drinks he's a very big guy couple drinks isn't really going to affect him too much. They even had a taco stand outside. He was going outside and getting tacos and eating so it's not like he was just drinking and not eating. So lo and behold he leaves the parking lot as soon as he leaves the parking lot I'm telling you as soon as he leaves the parking lot doesn't even get onto the highway two cop cars pull him over. He goes to jail for a DUI this is the night before Thanksgiving so therefore he stays in jail until Monday. I spent my Thanksgiving alone my worst Thanksgiving ever all because somebody there is a cop caller and wants to have the cops pull over their customers. It's not the first time I've heard of this I heard somebody else got arrested as well but they waited till they pulled up almost to their house and arrested them for a DUI absolutely ridiculous this was my favorite place to go but I will never go there again and anybody that goes there make sure you get an Uber or taxi or they're going to call the cops on you pretty much. read more

We go here to bowl and eat. We're not great bowlers so I can't compare the lanes to anywhere else. The people are friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar is the best!
