    Pumpkin Tart!
    Daniel C.

My favorite all time bakery! Yesterday they had this Pumpkin Tart that was to die for!!! It was essentially a thinner pumpkin pie with what I can describe as a crumble similar to a really good coffee cake! If you're in the area I highly recommend you pop in. It's a seasonal thing so they might have it in the case during the holidays! Such a cute spot that's always pushing the boundaries of the menu options and make great quality breads and pastries but offer much more for breakfast and lunch!

Stopped at Ceres Bakery on our way from Falmouth to Portland on the recommendation of a friend. My husband got the Roasted Turkey sandwich with garlic aioli and I ordered the Kale Salad as a wrap with added Tofu. Easy and quick to-go lunch. Bakery was cute, employees were friendly, food was good, bathroom was not great...

Great pastries and coffee! The staff is very friendly as well. There are some tables to sit inside as well. I tried both the cinnamon roll and the ginger peach scone. Both delicious!

A fun Bakery/ eatery in downtown Portsmouth. Warm and inviting. Great spot for lunch or breakfast. They also provide all sorts of baked goods.

Their pastries are amazing! The cinnamon roll I got was delightful and flaky like a croissant . And the berry scone was simply perfect in sweetness. The staff are so accommodating and really nice. All around wonderful spot!

This place is very cute and adorable and you can just tell that this place is very homey and everything is homemade and fresh everyday. The people are very nice and service is very personable and friendly. There's plenty of seating and a lot of pastry options both sweet and savory. They also have hot sandwiches available, coffee and tea and their bar where you get utensils and stuff even has croutons and sunflower seeds for you to take!! I tried the quiche and cinnamon coffee cake which were both good but didn't blow my mind. You get a very large piece of the coffee cake for the price though.

The inside of Ceres Bakery is full of interesting nooks and crannies. Be sure to look around when you're inside.

For a reasonable price, the sandwiches are massive and stuffed to the edge with the most fresh, cohesive ingredients around! For how quick it was made, the meal still seemed to be created with lots of care. I certainly recommend the turkey avocado (although i wish it had slightly more turkey)- the bread is crisp, the avocado creamy, the turkey tender, and everything else complimentary and super fresh! As for the vibes, both inside and outside, they were lovely! As I had my dog with me, I was able to enjoy the fresh sunshine and relax with a beautiful view (albeit the street gets a little busy). However, I would have also loved to sit in their quiet yet social interior which was filled with good smells and great energy! I'd also like to mention the amazing service! Their workers are super fast and helpful. I actually initially placed my order online to the wrong location, reordered at the new one, and submitted a refund request (despite it being against their policy bc you never know), and was met with a speedy response that was understanding and gave me an immediate refund, no questions asked! This experience brightened an already great trip to Portsmouth and an already delicious meal! I cant recommend this business enough if you want a satisfyingly delicious comfort meal in the heart of an adorable town! Definitely give it a try!

I absolutely love their drinks with marshmallow fluff in them - the fluff melts into the drink and makes the whole thing so delicious. The cafe is in two parts - when you enter, there is a counter to order at and various store items available for purchase. After ordering and receiving your drink, you can go through a narrow hallway to a larger seating area. There is a good amount of seating, but it can sometimes get busy. I have worked from this cafe before and I'd say it may be better to work alone than work with friends if you're going here since some of the tables are a little small and will be tight with two laptops. Service is very quick and the workers are very friendly. The drink pickup can be a little awkward since you pickup where you ordered and sometimes there's a line of people you have to sort of go through but I've never found it to be too much of a problem.

The baristas were very friendly, welcoming, and were very attentive and were prepared to answer whatever questions you might have at a moment's notice. The merch was really cute, the turkish delights were reasonably priced, and there was plenty of culture to go around. I am definitely going to be coming back here whenever I am in town again from Los Angeles. Thank you!

I'm a mom to 4-year-old twins, and medicine has been one of the hardest parts of parenting. I've never felt good about giving them over-the-counter cold meds--too many weird ingredients I can't pronounce, and they never seem to help much anyway. But finding natural remedies that actually work? That's been a whole other struggle. Every fall, I make my annual trip to Societe to stock up on my go-to teas: Throat Ease, Get Well, Breathe, Fever Break, Be Well Immuni Tea, and Digest Ease. The first five are always in my pantry. When my kids start sniffling or coughing, I don't even think twice--I make them a warm cup of tea. It's so much easier than fighting with them to take some nasty-tasting syrup that ends up all over their shirt or spit out halfway through. These teas work fast, they taste good, and I feel better knowing I'm helping their little bodies heal naturally. Now let me talk about Digest Ease, because this one... wow. If you've been through potty training, you know the constipation phase is brutal. My daughter was in so much pain, scared to go, crying, and I felt helpless. Doctors kept recommending milk of magnesia and other stuff that just didn't feel right. I tried everything--fiber, prune juice, homeopathic drops--and nothing gave her consistent relief. Digest Ease was the only thing that helped. It's gentle, it works fast, and it gave my daughter real relief without the drama. I've told every mom friend I know about it, and they've all had the same experience. If you're a parent who's tired of chemical-filled meds and just wants something safe, natural, and effective--these teas are it. They're not just products. They're part of how I care for my kids. I'll never go another season without them.

Before I could even really start sipping on my piping hot Cafe Au Lait, I was served my salad and crepe. It was fun to watch how each person worked their station passionately. The lady preparing the crepes meticulously cleaned her station as she cooked. The staff on coffee were brewing away and sending cups out to diners. Other items were coming out from the back kitchen. They worked in unison like a well oiled machine. I definitely enjoyed my coffee. My salad was generous and hit the spot. The crepe was acceptable. Would I come back?
