Ive taken my cars here for the last 9 years and I haven't had too much trouble until now. My car started to overheat then it wouldn't start at all. I had my truck towed here for them to tell me it was my alternator. Had the alternator replaced within a couple hours. I drive it to work the next day and it overheated and completely breaks down after paying $500 for an alternator. I've never been so disappointed in my life. I feel robbed. Some may have a good experience but this will be my last. Ive spent thousands here years of receipts I've kept only to continue needing repairs. Updated review *6/5/2020* i took the car back to them sonce they didn't do the proper work on it. Another $400 for a grand total of $900 spent here and MY TRUCK IS STILL OVERHEATING. They claimed they drove it which was a lie. I was advised to put antifreeze in it after 2 visits and $900 you think theyd have money for antifreeze. I've used Yelp a lot for recommendations, but this is my first time writing a review. I'll start off by saying that I was not asked to write this, or given a discount for doing so. I try to do my own work on my car when possible, so I am very hesitant to take it to a shop. But sometimes you just don't have access to the space, tools or time needed fix a problem yourself. This was the situation I found myself in the other night. After some price shopping, I came across Cermak Auto Care. While I usually just call a business, I saw Cermak had a very quick response time for quotes through Yelp. So I gave it a shot and sent a pretty specific message of what I was looking to have done. Honestly, I was expecting some type of automated reply or some response that would make me end up having to call them directly. However, Amir (the owner/manager?) got back to me very quickly with two different quotes based on which engine had in my car. The quotes were affordable and reasonable for the job at hand. Most of the other places I had called wanted a lot more, and only a few came close to what Amir quoted me at. I followed up with a couple of other basic questions, including whether or not they could get to it if I brought it in the following day (a Friday). He again responded very quickly and told me to bring it in. Brought it in the following morning. Cant remember the name of the mechanic I spoke with, but he was a nice guy. I don't really remember the time frame he told me it would be finished in, but I came back after like an hour and a half and it was done. That's definitely as fast as I could hope for, especially on a Friday. So far, so good. My car is up and running again. And one last thing I'd like to mention: no one tried to up-sell me or recommend any unnecessary fixes. That's a huge plus in my book. I probably don't look like I know that much about cars, but I think that actually helps me know who's trying to screw you. These guys were totally honest with me. I have an older car with probably a dozen other fixes they could've pushed me to do. Overall, they were honest, affordable and fast. What more could you ask for? read more

I gotten side swept on my explorer causing 2 doors and a fender replacement and also a painting job on all parts. I came in a little late in the afternoon and gotten taken care of by Amir, the service manager for my estimate. He explained pretty well on how the work was going to be done and the average time and price for it. I've gotten different quotes from all the other auto shops near by and by far this one was in my budget range. Overall, it took couple of days for all parts to be painted and replace. I took my car in to get an estimate on a scratch on 3/8. Upon weighing my options/estimates I decided to go with Cermak Auto Care. The price was affordable and the turn around was great. I dropped my car off on 3/10 and the work was complete 3/11. My car look like new like nothing happened. I also appreciate that the initial estimate stayed the same. Amir was professional every step of the way. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I noticed some scratches on the hood and I'm not sure where they came from. When I brought this to Amir's attention and he said I could come in so he could see the scratches and give me an estimate. Aside from that I would definitely be a repeat customer based on the quality of service I received. I'm also looking forward to trying the detail services for my car. read more
