This used to be What-A-Chicken. Service is the same; excellent. The food quality seems to have gone down. The potatoes and beans we got today tasted spoiled. We ended up tossing them. This was today's experience buying around 10:30am. We usually come here after noon. This is our second time buying since the change in the name. We'll try them another time. They seem to not grill on the spot anymore or at least not next to the truck. Sauces used to be self serve. Now they hand you 2-4 depending on your order.

Location is at Larry's produce now

I happened to find this truck as I'm driving around. One day I decide to stop by but when i approach the location, they had a sign directing to go to Larry's produce. I get here and parked in the LP lot only to walk across the place right behind the market. only to find out they had a separate entrance and parking lot right next to time. the parking lot is just dirt area so I wouldn't suggest lowered cars parking there. I've gone here twice. 1st order this order; I've tried the 2-meat combo with apollo chicken and ribs with coleslaw and rice along with a watermelon fresca. First time trying apollo asada chicken (besides apollo loco) and I was surprised I enjoyed more than the ribs! I loved the flavoring of the chicken, It was a bit too charred but still really good flavoring. The pork ribs were good but i;'m spoiled with smoked ribs which i perfect but for grilled ribs these were still flavor AND tender. love ribs that still keeps it texture but when you cut or bite into it, it's soft but not mushy and still pull of the bone tender. the Watermelon Fresca was really good! Not too sweet Very refreshing for a warm summer day. My 2nd order 5 tacos a mix of the fish, pastor, chicken and steak along with a strawberry and cream fresca. The tacos were flavorful and juicy! I think the tacos were filled appropriately. Just like the apollo asada above, the tacos were great as well. Pastor was on the sweeter side from the pineapple but still good. Steak was marinated well and all meats were juicy. I liked the fish taco but it was my least favorite one. also it was the most expensive as well. It was topped with avocado and a pico do gallo. maybe the avocado added onto the price along with the fish. The strawberry and cream Fresca was really good! Not too sweet as well. Tasted like I was drinking fresh strawberry milk but it wasn't too milky, if that makes sense. comes with a bag of tortilla chips. they give you 3 types of salsas. standard red and green salsa but the 3rd one is different. its a darker salsa but i think its my favorite. It taste like chipotle type salsa, It is spicier than the other two but has a sweetness to it so it keeps you eating despite the spiciness. They do have a sink which I loved, to wash your hands. All the utensils and paper towels are in a table. They have a cover patio area to eat with lots of tables. Verdict: Overall, I would continue to come here when I go to Larry's Produce. I think this place is my preferred Mexican food in the area. It is out of the way and limited menu compared to another mexican food truck near scandia and other restaurants in the area but they do the standard selections well. The Drinks are really good. I would not be surprised if they use everything from the farm! Its a good spot to try out.

Love how friendly they are and the food is amazing. The setup a nice dining space at Larrys Produce and provide the freshest salsa and aquas frescas! We also do the ribs and tacos and leave fully filled up.

TLDR: Best BBQ in Napa, hands down. Brisket and burnt ends…read moreare killer, mac n cheese surprised me, the owners are absolute gems, and the space is gorgeous. Cornbread and sauces missed the mark for me, but the meat more than made up for it. Definitely going back! The full story: Finally! A BBQ joint that knows how to season meat! Stateline Road Smokehouse in Napa is the spot. We rolled in on Mother's Day and got hit with a line almost out the door -- always a good sign! Turned out the wait wasn't bad though, because they've got a slick assembly line going. I watched the girl slicing my brisket right next to the order-taker, then just followed my tray as it moved down the line. The space is gorgeous -- big, bright, and airy, with clear garage doors and windows across the front and a domed ceiling overhead. We ordered the brisket, burnt ends, BBQ chicken, mac n cheese, and hot water cornbread. Plates come with their house-made pickles, onions, and peppers. They even have stuff for non-carnivores -- the Cherry Wood-smoked Maitake & Greens (maitake mushrooms, lettuce, heirloom rice, marinated garbanzo beans, lemon vinaigrette) and the 18th & Vine Grain Bowl (barley, quinoa, sweet potato, arugula, parsnip, saffron egg, pickled onion, burnt orange vinaigrette) both looked fantastic. Maybe I'll grab one next time -- right next to a pile of brisket! On the drink side they've got wines by the glass, boozy slushies, draft beer, and batch cocktails. We stuck with water this round. Prices were a notch above what I'm used to in Sacramento, but for Napa they felt totally fair -- especially since this is probably the best BBQ around. The brisket was a steal at $19 for a half pound. The chicken at the same price for a half bird felt a bit steep, but I could be off on what's normal up there. The brisket was seasoned beautifully from the very first bite -- smoked to perfection, fall-apart tender. No knife needed. The burnt ends were my favorite of the whole spread. They had a splash of sauce on them but it wasn't needed -- those rubs hold their own. The BBQ chicken had a totally different vibe -- hard to describe, but it gave off Asian-influenced flavors. Solid on its own, but pairing it with the brisket and burnt ends was a misfire. The flavors just didn't play nice together. The mac n cheese was great. It wasn't baked, but it also wasn't mushy or overcooked like most places -- the noodles still had bite and the cheese was flavorful. Sadly, the cornbread was the weak link. A little dry, kinda bland, and not as thick as I like. About the size of a thin 6" pancake -- not really worth the price. The other miss for me was the BBQ sauces. Just not my thing flavor-wise. To be fair though, the owner built his whole business on those sauces and apparently ships them out by the pallet, so plenty of people clearly love them! It was awesome seeing Darryl Bell, the owner, back in the kitchen working his magic -- and get this, he's reportedly the first Black restaurateur in Napa since the 1800s! That made the warm welcome hit even harder. Even with the rush going on, he popped out to snap a picture with us and thank us for coming in. His business partner Jeremy was also working the floor, checking in on every table, and he stuck around to talk us up about Darryl's BBQ skills and how their partnership came together. Then during a lull, Darryl came back out and gave us the whole tour -- the cultural and historical design choices throughout the space (the building used to be a Quonset hut, which explains that cool domed ceiling) plus the murals on the back patio. Dinner AND a show! Wishing these guys all the best. Can't wait to get back and work through more of the menu.

The cornbread was a complete disappointment. The hamachi, however, was a refreshing exception, as it seemed freshly grilled. The moment I pierced the ribs with my knife, I knew they were dry. Despite my hunger from the wine tasting, the experience was so disappointing that we had to rush to another establishment to relieve my disappointment. On a positive note, the servers were incredibly friendly and warm.

Crunchy, saucy and juicy chicken. All are boneless, too. Comes with a side of daikon and shredded cabbage for dat fiber tho. My boo and I tried their galbi jjim with cheese. It came out in a fancy stone pot. It was loaded with pumpkin, carrots, rice cakes, glass noodles and their beef short ribs. The beef was tender and the veggies and rice cakes were tasty in the savory sweet sauce. We ordered a side of corn with cheese torched on top. It was pretty filling for 2 people. We had leftovers so the waitress took it to the back and had it sealed in a box for us to take. Their bbq chicken was surprisingly good! My SIL really liked it! The chicken wasn't dry and it was nicely seasoned and had a bit of char from their sizzling stone plate and tasted great with their rice and banchan side dishes. I like their kimchi, broccoli, macaroni and bean sprout sides. You can get them replenished, too! My mom tried their bulgogi bibimbap and she didn't have any complaints. My bro tried their brisket seolleongtang soup and he seemed to enjoy it because he finished the whole bowl without sharing. My lil' (under 2yo) nephew approved of anything that landed on his plate. Maru is located in a shopping plaza and tucked in the corner near Raley's. The restaurant is small, but modern. It's definitely not a place you would expect in Fairfield. Both times that I've come here we didn't have an issue with waiting for a table despite it being a small shop. You can order from a waiter, or you can order from their tablet screen at the table. Overall, good korean food for a reasonable price. Service was quick and the vibes were right. They were playing some kpop music! I'd definitely come back to get more fried chicken and try their soft tofu stew. Check them out if you're in the area. They should have Badtz Maru as their mascot lol

Their side dishes are pretty refreshing to eat between meals for a palette cleanse. We ordered bossam, a combo soft tofu soup, and soy garlic fried chicken to share! (Grilled mackerel was only eaten by my friend lol) Bossam -- holy moly SO GOOD. Slices are a little thin imo but I don't mind layering two pieces together to make a pretty solid wrap with the radish wraps and sauce they give you. The braised pork belly is pretty flavorful and well cooked itself and the complimentary sides, like kimchi and radish kimchi, added to it-- Wow. Definitely try this dish. Combo Soft Tofu Soup -- not a big fan of the spam added, but otherwise great flavor and comforting on a rainy day. I like dipping the rice (also complimentary with your meal!) into the soup-- not much to say other than it being pretty good. Soy Garlic Chicken -- Do keep in mind, these are more like nuggets than it is drumsticks or wings, but still really juicy and so crispy!! The soy garlic flavoring, wow, is perfect and I really enjoy the diced radish and dressed salad on the side. Quite a lot in portion, so quality and quantity are great! It was relatively empty when we arrived which was around a couple minutes after opening, but quickly filled up with patrons. It's pretty casual and cozy inside and I like how quick the check is given to you after the end of your meal so you don't have to worry about flagging down a server. They're really attentive ! This is such a hidden gem, I lowk would gate keep this restaurant but... they deserve recognition and business for their great food and service! ^o^ Definitely stop by here if you're craving Korean cuisine in Fairfield.
