I was pretty disappointed in my experience here. It had such great reviews so I was excited to try it, but they served me food that was old and spoiled. The pandan horchata tasted sour because it went bad. I was shocked! Made me wonder how long it's been sitting there and if they have a process to toss old food. They told me they could replace it with one from a new batch. The chicken wings also tasted old like the chicken was going bad. We didn't finish it. I got the garlic pho with a beef rib. That beef rib was not fall off the bone soft. They didn't cook it long enough and it didn't have much meat to it. The brisket in the pho was decent and the viet coffee was okay. I gave two stars just because the servers were nice, but I'm not coming back here. I saw another reviewer who said they got sick after eating here and I can see how that happened when there seems to be a lack of quality control.

Don't sleep on this place! Delicious food, good portions and friendly service. Love the ambience too. Restaurant is very clean, food choices are many and interesting! And some great tea and dessert options too. We got the coconut ceviche to start, amazing! The chips were crisp, not stale and the ceviche was sooooo good. We got the brisket pho and Anthony Bourdain pho (more garlic, deeper flavor), and finished off with the halo pandan dessert. Family friendly, and extra plus that my kid loved it. Highly recommend trying this spot!

This is a cute little Vietnamese kitchen with an intimate vibe serving up birria too. Customer service was good. We came in on a Friday afternoon around 4 and it wasn't crowded at all but there were people here. We were able to sit wherever we like. We ordered the Birria fries, the hot & spicy crispy chicken wings and TomYum pasta (spaghetti). So when you order birria here be mindful that this is a Vietnamese place. With that being said, it's not your traditional consome it's very much Vietnamese inspired and it is very much AMAZING. The birria meat itself could use a smudge more salt but that's a personal preference. The spaghetti was fire. The chicken wings were indeed crispy and when they said Hot & Spicy, they meant it. It was too much for me to handle, but the flavor was really good. The wings were bigger in size than I like them but again that's a personal preference. So if you like large SPICY crispy wings with good flavor this is the place to get them.

Chao XO offers many approachable yet underrepresented fusion dishes that make for a fun and memorable meal. Their online ordering system was down when I visited, so I had to place my order over the phone instead. Thankfully, everything was packaged neatly for takeout, including my ceviche which had a separate compartment to keep the accompanying shrimp chips crisp. *Pandan Horchata: I was surprised by how pronounced both flavor profiles were. The pandan came through strongly with a fragrant, almost grassy aroma while the horchata provided a creamy, warmly spiced base. However, the drink leaned far too sweet, even after the ice had melted. Dialing back both the pandan and sugar would have created a much more balanced drink. *Coconut Ceviche: the medley of shrimp, scallops, and white fish was tender and fresh. The marinade heavily emphasized coconut milk and lime juice, though I would have loved more basil oil and chili oil to introduce stronger herbaceous and spicy notes. The coconut was so dominant that the dish needed more contrast. The pico de gallo added brightness, though it contributed similar acidic notes. The house chips turned out to be prawn crackers, which were savory and paired beautifully with the ceviche. I honestly wish more places served them this way. *Saltado Shaken: I added filet mignon for an extra $3 and it was absolutely worth it. The beef was tender, well marinated, and paired wonderfully with the sweet and salty white wine soy sauce. The rice underneath was a bit dry, though the aioli and sauce helped salvage it. The fries softened during the drive home but still carried good flavor. Surprisingly, the vegetables were the highlight as the tomatoes added bright bursts of sweetness throughout. *Salt & Pepper Shrimp: impressively large shrimp coated in a flavorful peppery crust. They maintained their crispness despite takeout, though my dining companion mentioned some pieces had better texture consistency than others. *Tom Yum Pasta: al dente pasta coated in a creamy, tangy sauce. The garlic butter and cotija created a rich finish that I enjoyed. While the onions and bell peppers worked well, I hoped for more traditional tom yum elements such as chilies, lemongrass, and mushrooms to better capture the spirit of the soup. *Mango Sticky Rice: unfortunately the rice was overly mushy rather than pleasantly sticky. The coconut sauce was restrained in sweetness, acting more as a creamy and nutty component. There were plenty of mango chunks included, though I noticed the peanuts were absent. The sesame topping also lacked the salty contrast that could have better balanced the sweeter elements. Overall, the flavors were bold and exciting, though several dishes could have benefited from better balance and refinement. I appreciated the creativity behind the fusion combinations and found the menu genuinely fun to explore. Ever since eating here, I have oddly found myself wanting prawn chips with all sorts of other dishes.

Very mixed experience here. First off, the service was great. Staff was quick, friendly, and accommodating - Shout out to Gabriella and Lyric! Their marketing team also does a great job because I had seen a ton of their content before coming in. The decor is nice too, modern with Asian inspired touches. Where it gets a bit confusing is the food. After reading all the strong reviews beforehand, my expectations were higher. I also noticed a sign offering a free drink in exchange for a review, which made some of the reviews make more sense. Birria Pho was solid. Not a lot of meat, but they offer unlimited noodles if that matters to you, and you can mix and match. Coconut Ceviche looked great presentation wise, but I wouldn't order it again. It felt a bit thrown together and lacked flavor. Kare Kare is a skip. The sauce was overly thick and very heavy on peanut butter. It also didn't match what was shown in photos online or on the menu. I have had my fair share of Kare Kare in my life lol We spent about $140 for the meal and I'm glad we tried it, but I left a bit unsure. Not sure if it was an off day or just didn't match the hype. Overall still a chill spot with good service, but the food didn't fully deliver for me yesterday. Maybe we will give it another shot!

This place was not bad. It was delicious and was definitely a hidden gem. Saltado Shaken: It was sort of on the saltier side. The fries were cooked perfectly and was great to eat with the sauce. The meat was soo good and tender, practically melted in your mouth. It was just the saltiness of the sauce that got me. 7/10 Pandan Horchata: This was amazing! It had a good mix of flavors between the horchata and the pandan which I have never tasted before. I also loved how it didn't taste super heavy. 9/10 Garlic noodles: It tasted sweet to me almost and wasn't super salty. I love how well the sauce tasted with the noodles. Some of the noodles looked burnt but not sure if that's how it was supposed to be cooked. 8/10 Coconut Ceviche: Not my favorite dish. The shrimp and scallop tasted great on its own but the coconut sauce wasn't super great. Not sure if it's because I'm used to ceviche sauce being citrusy and salty rather than it being creamy and sweet. 5/10 Tom Yum Pasta: Probably my favorite dish. It was amazing! It was saltier but I loved how well the sauce paired with the pasta and the shrimp. It was so good and loved the presentation for it. 9/10

This place has a lot of potential! Most of the foods sounded really good but fell a bit short in my opinion. Most of the pictures did NOT look like the dishes we got. I felt a little bamboozled lol. We got a ton of items: Birria pho: food flavor and solid flavor! Lomo salto: too sweet, would be better with more salt Garlic noodles: surprisingly very good LOL Coconut ceviche: underwhelming, seafood didnt taste very fresh Salt and pepper shrimp: good but underwhelming Kare kare: 1/5, meat was very tough, not tender all. The sauce was overly peanut, even for kare kare Tom yum pasta: too dry, not enough tom yum flavor, would really do better with a lot more more seasoning and lime

This place has a lot of charm and a very cute interior. We started with the strawberry coffee and the ube coffee was great. Unfortunately, the food and service were a bit of a miss for us. Coconut Ceviche: Served on a flat dish that made it nearly impossible to scoop or enjoy the coconut sauce with the shrimp chips. Spicy Birria Dumplings: Very confusing dish topped with beef birria but had a chicken filling. They completely fell apart in the consommé, making them a mess to eat. Anthony Bourdain Pho: Started off okay, but by the time I got to the bottom, the garlic was so overpowering I couldn't finish it. The service felt incredibly rushed. Our table was cleared while I was still trying to pack my leftovers, leaving me without even a spoon. To make matters worse, I ended up with a bad stomach ache on the way home. Based on the food and how I felt afterward, we won't be returning.

First time customer and won't be the last. We ordered a Tom Yum Pasta, Birria Pho, garlic beef pho, double rib pho, birria dumplings and chicken wings and some mango calamansi, Vietnamese coffees and pandan horchata were drinks. Almost everything was great but the chicken wings had a bit too much batter than what we normally like. We all got a little excited to eat so I only got a photo of my meal (Tom Yum pasta) served on a hot, sizzling plate. The service was excellent and restaurant was clean. Plenty of parking but can be quite busy on the weekends because it's close to Seafood City and many other restaurants and services. Prepare to indulge. Can't wait to come back and try out the other things on the menu.

    Julie B.

Finally got the chance to mark this place off my checklist. Upon arriving, it wasn't busy at all. My bf got the combo pho and I got the Birria pho. The Birria pho was ok but I don't think it was well executed.. it just tasted like pho with extra chili oil. The pandan horchata on the other hand was very tasty! Very modern and cute interior, and would def come back to try some of their other drinks!

Food: Calamari: crunchy & flavorful! it was delicious and very much seasoned Salt and pepper shrimp: was crunchy and delicious Service: service was good it was not busy when we went and food came in quick Ambiance: it is pretty and clean and a vibe

Crispy chicken was amazing I didn't care for the sauce but that's bc I don't care for sweet sauces.

This restaurant was great! Food delicious, service was great, and the vibe was super cute and fresh! I would recommend to anyone. My only suggestion is go with at least 3 people bc you're going to want to try the different things they have on the menu!! So many things I wanted to try!!!
