Very solid dinner experience here. The service was great, and it was super efficient to get seated and served. The yucca fries were fresh and crispy, and the ceviche was also tasty, although in general the flavors were quite mild. Great vibes though, with lively music and lights. Overall it was a tasty, fun, and easy place to go for a casual dinner.
Ni fu ni fa as we say in Spanish. The meal I had at Cha Cha Cha was good, but mentally I was comparing to Parada 22 next door which serves similar Caribbean fair, and personally I'm more of a fan of Parada. I will say the inside is spacious and it has a nice vibe. Maybe different if I had gotten cocktails. Service was good, food was delivered promptly.
We were walking around the Haight, and were suddenly starving and ended up here for Caribbean tapas. Fun interior and bar room . They have outdoor garden seating as well . Everything we had here was surprisingly delicious. We had the Paella Mixta. Normally when we have Spanish paella I'm dissapointed by the scarcity of seafood and the chewiness of undercooked rice, but OMG this paella was delicious. The rice was so flavorful and addictive and there was an endless amount of juicy chicken, tender fish, shrimp, calamari, mussels . We're normally done scavenging for the good stuff in a minute between the four of us , but we even had leftovers tonight which was awesome. We also really enjoyed the plantain appetizer, the plantains were cooked, so tender and sweet, but also had these nice crisp edges. Also loved the black bean puree it came with. Also ordered the cheese quesadillas which were awesome. The cheese tasted so good, I assume it was Oaxacan cheese, it didn't taste like a plain mozzarella quesadilla Warm spinach salad was surprisingly tasty as well ! Comes with a light creamy dressing that wasn't overpowering, and well flavored by the mushrooms. I even had them removed the bacon and it was still a very tasty dish. Enjoyed our wine and beer, service was good !
A staple that guarantees a meal full of flavor. My table got arroz con pollo, ropa vieja and tres leches. The star of the night was the tres leches, it had some type of guava sauce that takes it to the next level. In my opinion the arroz con pollo was better than the ropa vieja but it's all about what you like. The music makes the restaurant's vibe even better. Not in picture, but a favorite is the sangria! A great meal, always a flavorful choice.
Ambiance was nice. Food was very big portions very delicious. I ordered an icy mezcalita very good. Overall enjoyed the music and the art. Everything was so delightful.
I loved the vibe of this place. It was dimly lit and there was artwork in every corner of the place. We started off with the sangria and ordered the papas bravas, guac and ceviche. The papas bravas are a must have- the spicy sauce is amazing. The guac was some of the better guac I've ever had and I loved it. Ceviche I could've done without, it wasn't my favorite. The food came out super quickly and the waiters were awesome!
Was excited to try this as it's a local favorite in haight. Thoroughly impressed. The interior is dim but colorful. A lively bar feel with nice/loud music depending on the hour. Service was friendly/fun and quick. Especially attentive when it comes to ordering and refilling water. A great place overall and I'll be back! Food: Chicken Paillard over pasta was delicious and filling. Definitely a place where you'll leave with leftovers as the food is filling and portions are good size. Atleast one person needs to get the Cajun shrimp. It comes in a thick sauce with a side of bread for dipping. Delicious and seriously addictive.
The food was amazing. It was so good that I ordered another spicy chicken sandwich togo. The sangria was so strong but good. The service was ok. They only checked on us twice. The ambiance was nice.
We were excited about happy hour. we came in a little after 5pm, Its until 6pm. We were offered the bar or regular seating. we picked regular. then found out happy hour was bar only, watever, it does say it on the menu. we ordered our food and drinks. we never got our tea. food was dropped off and no one ever checked on us to see if we needed anything else. we did. i had ordered a side of sauce, that also never came. the check came and neither items was reflected on the bill. so either he never put in the order for our tea and side of sauce. or he did, removed it and didnt even apologize for the items not making it. my salad also had a lot of soiled pieces that i picked out. see photos.
We had a great meal here! Amazing sangria! The jerk chicken and Spanish rice were delicious and super flavorful. The papas bravas aioli was the best. We loved the platanos as well. Every server was so friendly and attentive. We had a great time. Love the ambiance and decor! Wish we lived in the city, we would be regulars!
The seasoning on the yucca fries was delicious! I enjoyed the vaca frita though I did wish that there was a stronger lime flavor and I personally was not a fan of having plantains in a savory dish. The Cajun shrimp sauce was warm and comforting. The staff were attentive and great!
Cha Cha Cha in San Francisco makes a delicious Spinach salad! Went here with some friends who were visiting from Phoenix, Arizona, and wanted to visit all of the thrift shops on Haight. We ended up going to Cha Cha Cha for lunch and loved the entire fun and lively experience. This Caribbean restaurant is a vibe and they play wonderful music. They also have a great variety of different Caribbean dishes, but I recommend the Cuban sandwich and the spinach salad. Their guacamole and chips and salsa were to die for as well. The staff is friendly and our food came out pretty quickly considering the place was packed. Look forward to coming back here and trying some new dishes.

Food- phenomenal. We got the jerk chicken, and the chicken fell off the bone. It had the perfect amount of sauce that was so good to eat with the rice. The flavors were hitting the spot!!! We also got the chicken paillard, but we asked to get it with the sauce that comes with Cajun shrimp instead, and it was amazing. The bread came with it. And we put butter on the bread, and then dipped it in the sauce and it was to die for. Drinks- they got the job done. The margarita was made well and well balanced! The spicy mezcal old fashioned was a little too spicy for me, but it's so close. I feel like just a couple of tweaks and it would be a great drink. Service- amazing. They were so nice from the moment they seated us, and everything came out in a timely manner. We sat at the bar, and had a good time! read more
One of my favorites on Haight st. Recently got the lechon, ceviche, and mixed paella. It's not too busy on a week nights and have gotten seated right away. We loved the lechon, ceviche, and paella. The shrimp is also a fav and the sauce is great for the bread to sop up. The lechon was so tender and juicy and yucca on the side was nice. The paella had a good amount of protein and rice balance with good flavor. Also recommend the ceviche as there's actually a good amount of fish and not filling of other veggies. The inside is nothing fancy but it's clean and doesn't feel super cramped sitting inside. read more
Cha Cha Cha is one of my favorite spots, like ever! The food is always great. The ONLY disappointment I had was that the Cajun Shrimp was lacking flavor this time around and is normally a lot better. I'm not saying it was bad, it's just normally better! Everything else we had knocked it out of the park! I just have to give a shout out to Diego...we were having a late night and my friend asked for coffee. We didn't realize they didn't offer coffee but Diego made it work for us and gave us coffee that they had in the back for employees. Then they didn't even charge us for it. We ordered take out and it was my first time trying this restaurant. I LOVED it. Both dishes were to my liking. The fried calamari was crispy and chewy inside and out, and the portion is great. The chicken was amazing. The part that the sauce mixed with rice, was my favorite part. I was full half way but still wanted to finish it. That was how good they were. I will definitely come back and dine in to experience the vibe and service. read more
Cha Cha Cha! Visited for a friend's birthday! There's a lot of options,mostly tapas. So bring a group to share! A little pricey, but the portions are big! Will definitely be back. I got the Ropa Vieja. They don't have too many filling vegetarian options, but Super good even though I don't typically eat meat. Calamari was great too! Would go back! Service could be a little better. Wished they'd check in more and refilled drinks/water, but it was good overall. read more

This place is so good. The ambiance is fun, with great music playing. Drinks were tasty. The food was good, though the lechon asado was missing some flavor. Hot sauce helped but was a little surprised by that. The jerk chicken was delicious though. And the portions are excellent. Service was friendly and I'd recommend this place to anyone! read more

I tried jerk chicken for the first time here, and it was absolutely delicious! We also ordered the paella mixta and a side of plantains, along with their famous sangria. Everything we ate was great, but I personally didn't find the sangria to be anything special--though I'm sure others might enjoy it more. The service was alright, but I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. I would definitely come back, especially for the jerk chicken! read more

Came here cause it has been on my list for a while and it was definitely worth it...the sauce that the shrimp was cooked in was all that like the bartender said it was and the mushrooms hit the spot.. sadly I had ordered margaritas which were good before I realized that I should have started with sangria. Service was great and it was definitely busy for a Saturday but people made me feel welcomed and it seem to be a happening spot. read more

Actually some of the most delicious food I have ever had... I was looking for a place to try in SF for tapas, but all my first picks were closed on Mondays. And so, I found Cha Cha Cha in the Haight! I took an uber here, but it's around residential streets so you could probably circle around and find a spot. My party of two came here around 5PM was able to snag one of the last tables inside. There was already plenty of people at this time! We decided on ordering a few things: CEVICHE --- this was a strong start to our meal. The white fish ceviche was served in a glass on a plate with chips. This was plenty as an "appetizer" for two people as they did not skimp on the fish, that's for sure. I love the freshness and the acidity of the lime, and the fish pairs so well with the red onions, cilantro and serrano chilies. I liked how small they minced the chilis, so I wasn't dying of heat lol. It also came with two plantain chips! My only gripe was the presentation made it a little hard to scoop from, but not the end of the world. CAJUN SHRIMP --ok WAIT. This was a last minute dish we decided on ordering, but it ended up being the star of the show. WOW the sauce for this cajun shrimp was out of this world delicious. I'm not sure if the dish or the table comes with bread, but I dipped every single ounce of that bread into the sauce. It was creamy, spicy, sweet, salty, and basically heaven. I don't usually indulge in heavier/creamier sauces, but if you get one thing here, it has to be the cajun shrimp. I will say the shrimp was like whatever though it's like they just plopped six or seven small shrimpies into the sauce. But the sauce is so good you don't even care about the shrimp. PAELLA MIXTA -- we love paella, and knew this was a must-order. I enjoyed the variety of meats/seafoods in here since there was chicken, salmon, sausage, mussels, and shrimps. Everyone is happy. I enjoyed the saffron rice, but wish it was a bit crispier like some paellas are. You have to squeeze every ounce of the lemon for the best citrusy/salty flavor. I will say, I started drenching my plate with the cajun shrimp sauce though, because that was so flavorful it made this kind of not. But still really good and of course paella can never disappoint. SANGRIA -- Cha Cha Cha is known for their sangria, but I was really interested in their cocktail menu which looked delicious. However, I was convinced to order the sangria after I looked around and every single table had it. We ordered the 1/2 pitcher for the two of us, which evened out to a little more than 2 glasses/person. I think Cha Cha Cha has definitely changed my mind about sangria. It was really sweet, which I enjoyed, and the fruit flavors actually came through in the taste. Definitely order this and try it out. Overall, some of the best food I've ever had. It is a bit pricey though, as our bill for two came out to around $100 after taxes and tip. The flavors are TOO good though, you can't beat it. read more
This was a cool dig to go to. It has an eclectic vibe to it. They seem to mostly serve tapas which is great by me--what we tried was excelled: jerk chicken, and Cajun shrimp! YUM!! The jerk chicken was beautifully flavored and while it may not look like a lot of chicken, don't be fooled. It does come with a little bit of rice, so I recommend adding an extra side of it. The Cajun shrimp had just the right amount of spice--not too hot, just a little kick. It's great to dip their complimentary bread in the delicious cream-based sauce...and if you like to dip, ask for some extra sauce on the side! I definitely would come back here! read more

Out to lunch with the pre-teens today enjoying an unexpected school holiday. We were vintage clothes shopping on The Haight and had to come to eat here. I haven't been here since I was close to their age! Hard to believe that the food is as good as it was back then! Everything we ordered was really good and the environment was just as fun as I remembered. We had fried calamari, fried new potatoes, BBQ chicken quesadilla and the braised pork and yucca. The pork was so tender. It was a comfort food, served with sourdough and sauces. The calamari came with two dipping sauces and had a perfect crunch, but needed a sprinkle of salt. The quesadilla was stacked full of chicken and was gobbled up quickly. The potatoes were seasoned well and air fried crisp and also had fun dipping sauces. A fun place to visit and more on the menu to explore for next time. read more

Just ordered the yucca and lechón asado and I was very disappointed on both. The yuccas were swimming in water and the taste was very disappointing, basically they cooked yucca that was no good to eat or expired and the lechón was tasteless they attempted to to put some green onions on top which doesn't go with the original recipe. Very disgusting result. I had to trash it !!! Never again will I be ordering anything from chachachá. The name is the only Cuban thing from that restaurant. read more

This may just have been the best delivery dinner I've ever received! The jerk chicken was flavorful & tender. I could eat those plantains everyday, they're SO good! I can't wait to try this place in person. The portions were astounding and lasted more than one meal forsure. 10/10!! read more
This place was so cute on the inside! Nicely decorated, good vibes. They don't do happy hour anymore, which kind of bummed me out, however, everything we ordered on the menu was delicious. The shrimp in cream sauce(Cajun shrimp) 10/10 Jerk chicken 10/10 Calamari 10/10 Jalapeño margarita 10/10 Paella 10/10- there was a lot of seafood in it And you get a bread bowl which made me super happy!! Sangria and tapas!! I used to visit this Cuban/Caribbean spot several times in the past as date nights, small/large group events and it was always fun and delicious. It is quite a popular venue so make sure to come early. The ambiance is so fun and you really feel like you're in the Caribbean! Highly recommend ordering the following: -Pitcher of sangria (you'll definitely get a good buzz especially if you eat the wine-soaked fruit!) -Fried calamari (my favorite that I order every time- super tender and crispy) -Platano Maduros (love these sweet melt in your mouth bananas) -Chicken wings (flavor pop!) -New potatoes (so good and the aioli is like crack) -Paella (nice crowd pleaser) I like the Haight location better cuz you can walk around the district and window shop/people watch but they also have a location in the Mission so hopefully you can swing by one of them! read more

I came here with some friends for a birthday lunch. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming with some festive colorful lights up. Our server was kind and attentive throughout our meal, and gave us some recommendations regarding portion sizes. The ceviche was light and flavorful, but could have been a bit spicier/the veg in it could have been sliced thinner to better match the fish. Potatoes were crispy and fluffy, nothing fancy but well done. Out of the meats we tried the ropa vieja was the group favorite, juicy and flavorful (yummy beans too). Lechon was a bit lighter, yucca wasn't everyone else's favorite but I really enjoyed it. It's like a soft potato texture, very mild. I've been here twice in the last 2 weeks. The food is sooo good. The lechon asado is the best thing I've tried. I've tried my friends ropa veja and vaca frita but go with the lechon, trust me. The lechon comes with yuca and it's so thick and tasty. The lechon is always tender. The ropa veja and vaca frita can be dry. The plantains are always a must. The service has been great in both times I've came. The prices are super affordable and seem like they haven't inflated in years. read more
