    Best Thai food in the 818! Always cooked fresh to order, owners are great people, service is always A-1! Don't miss out stop by and try for yourself. Pad see ew is my favorite though their pad Thai is the best I've had, my gf from SGV agrees it's better than any spot out there as well!

    Wanted to try a new thai place local to me. Cha Chaa popped up. Solid reviews. Here's mine. I got it to-go. 20min before they closed. Friendly people. Nice chatting. Place is smaller than I thought. But still able to have a dinner there. Large Thai Tea - Not too sweet. Good tasting. I wish there was less milk / half n half and more of the tea mix. Really good though. Wonton Soup - Lots of wontons. Although not to take away from Cha Chaa I dont think theyre made in house. Broth is light and flavorful. Wontons are packed in the soup. Broccoli and cabbage are on the bottom. Good. Combination Fried Rice - Some really really good fried rice. Not the best but really good. Packed with the combo meats including shrimp, chicken, beef n pork. The box is filled up so there's a good amount. Pad see ew Beef - This was good. Not the best but not bad. It wasnt overly sweet. Which I liked. Good amount. Now the price. For 2 Large Thai Teas, Wonton Soup, Combo Fried Rice, and Pad see ew was $65 and change. I tipped $6 for a to go order. So im taking back by $72.11 Was it worth it? I'm having a difficult time processing it. I know prices are going up. Like a lot. But this was a bit on the expensive side.

    This is a great place for Chinese/Thai fusion. It's a little hard to find as it's tucked away in a small plaza, on the corner of Glenoaks Bl. and Osborne St. But it's worth searching for. It's a small cozy place with just a few tables, but the customers for take out/phone in orders was non stop from the time I walked in until the time I walked out. I was fortunate to snag and eat at a table, I ended up ordering the spicy noodles and a side of pork jerky and everything was delicious. The noodles were still steaming from the wok, and the spice level was just the right amount to tickle my tongue. The pork jerky was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The dipping sauce made the dish pop with a good amount of heat as well. It looks like a small family owned restaurant, with only one person working the front counter and she was hustling! She did everything from, answer phone orders, rang up customers, served food to other customers inside her shop. And when there was a lull, she was prepping in the back, helping the cooks plate the next orders, refill the soy sauce and condiments, etc. This place has hard working people who are good at making delicious food. Please stop by and show your love and support for this local business.

    Excellent low key spot, the food is very clean and well priced. We ordered won ton, beef salad, and orange chicken. Service is great!

Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. This that wonton place your girl tells you not to worry about forreal. Will be coming back despite the long drive from home.

It leans more Santa Ana burger joint vibes. That said, everything felt clean and they were pumping out a ton of takeout orders while we were there, so clearly they're doing something right. (There is an à la carte menu available in the bar area.) I went very carnivorous on my selections, choosing the beef tongue carpaccio, duck sausage, and beef short rib. There was not a bad dish among these: The tongue was tender, soft, and delicate. The duck sausage was fantastically good as well; served with an apple jam atop Swiss chard, it was a sort of Chinese-Alpine fusion cuisine of which I never envisioned but instantly wanted more. I would happily return to try the bar menu with cocktails or when the prix fixe options change. At $68 for four courses, Firstborn's prix fixe is one of the best fine dining offers in L.A. right now, and it makes a trek up to Chinatown worthwhile.
