Did a pickup order for my mom. We wanted to get the gobi manchurian (13 dollars), which was processed and paid, but then after sitting down to wait, they told us that it was not available. So we went back to the counter and ordered vegetable delight for the same price. We sat back down in booth and waited. A couple minutes later, it came. We brought it home for my mom to enjoy. There was a small amount of rice, and a decent amount of the vegetable delight. The vegetables were crispy enough with ample amount of broccoli, baby corn, water chestnut, and others. However the tofu (or whatever vegetarian protein it was) tasted old and a bit funny. The sauce was tangy and enjoyable. Other than the hiccup with the order, service was ok. Atmosphere is definitely no frills and bland. Just white lightning and a couple booths. It been get cramped and crowded with lots of families eating there, especially after shopping at Apna Bazaar nearby. It's located at the same plaza as Apna Bazaar, so parking can be a hit or miss. Yesterday I ordered 3 dishes= - Orange chicken -Chicken lo mein -Tso chicken Unfortunately the chicken lo mein was overcooked- literally mushy- stuck together & high sodium. The place is very basic, but the staff is very nice. The food is fresh and the sweet selection is large. I love their Matai their mango Barfi so good. And I'm not a fan of chocolate bar, but that was really good too packed well to go simple clean interior. My go to dish is the Tawa chicken ( spicy, gingery, ) with enough gravy to scoop up with Naan bread. If you're looking for that authentic Indian/ Pakistani spicy flavor for a meal, look no further! Doesn't look like much when you walk by the place, but it's fairly big inside and with a big menu to boot. They provide Indian, Pakistani and Chinese cuisine. Was told this is a really popular place especially now during eid so we went to check it out! We ordered family style with chicken biryani, chicken 65, chili chicken and two chaat items. I would say that the chaat was okay, nothing too spectacular but the biryani and chicken 65 were to die for!! Chili chicken was a nice touch but too much oil in there. The reason I'm giving this three stars was first we were meant to pay before getting food and got hit with 15 percent service fee. Our server was very attentive to us but poor man was the only one where the other one was just sitting and chatting with the owner. I felt bad for him and as such sometimes it would be awhile before he got back to us. The dessert we ordered was really Rock solid hard when it's supposed to be nice and spongy which was a disappointment. The tables looked like picnic table and the plates looked cheap and not washed properly. Overall it's a mixed experience as some of the food was good but the Ambience and service of this place holds it back from being a truly solid restaurant. I love this place and come regularly! It's not in the best area and is hidden off OBT in a strip plaza but the staff has always been very friendly and the food is good for a fair price. The menu options are broader than expected with a mix of options including Chaat, Chinese food, burgers etc. I come here mostly for the Chaat and tikka masala but when I've ventured out for other things it's been good too. They even have an option served in a pineapple half! The Chaat here is my favorite compared to the few times of I've tried Chaat elsewhere and it's usually pretty busy with people going in and out, which is a good sign. read more

My brother abruptly stopped eating when he noticed a dead roach inside the dessert. Roaches are linked to dangerous and deadly health consequences. Please be careful, don't gamble with your health. I don't know how Orange County's Health Department allows this place to be in business. The lady at the front desk hated her life, when we tried to complained she handed us owner's business card and told us to call and complain. Not my style but feel like I have to Nihari: Normally a crowd favorite, watery with very little flavor. Fried Chicken: normally hard to mess up, they figured it out. Under cooked. Haleem: Decent Daal: decent Bugs all over the place, pest control non existent. Wonder what's the cleanliness in the back of the front was this bad. I guess they don't care! This place definitely seems like an authentic Pakistani restaurant. My wife and I went here twice and the owner was pretty nice and engaging. We ordered the beef paya and chicken tikka masala. Unfortunately, our delivery was not as good as the food I remember sitting down to at this restaurant, but the chili garlic fried rice is probably the best fried rice that I have had in a long time, the fried rice filled the bill, flavorful and spicy. We also ordered paneer manchurian, potato samosa, garlic naan and orange chicken. As mentioned above, we loved the spicy fried rice, the samosas were tasty and the garlic naan was all very good. The paneer manchurian had a nice sauce, but the paneer was more like little pieces of rubber, very tough and the orange chicken was the same, the chicken was rubbery, over battered and highly sauced. We have visited Chaat House several times before and plan to patronize them again once life gets back to normal. read more
