absolutely love chaat house! my favorite thing to get here is the spicy gyro platter, it comes with a side of crispy masala fries and house salad with a tangy dressing. the gyro sandwich itself is presented open-flatbread style, with a pile of gyro slices layered with salad and a yogurt sauce at the very top. of course, there are many other options but i would recommend this one first ^^. i usually get a traditional cream soda called Pakola to go with the meal. their mithai options are varied, and my favorite is the pathisa which is kind of like a Pakistani butterfinger minus the chocolate. also, they just opened a second store next door called Taza Juices. it's not fully functional as they're still getting in supplies and stocking up before their grand opening. i went by today to see whatever they had and got lychee ice cream. to be honest i was quite hesitant on getting it but i loved it! will most more about Taza Juices once they're on Yelp. Great food, spoiled by horrid manager. The food was consistently great, especially if you're on the lookout for some true Pakistani cooking. The tava masala and the Bihari boti were about as good as I've had this side of the Atlantic. However, what started with the restaurant forgetting to provide naan / bread with the order (perhaps due to peak lunch rush) - quickly devolved into the Manager coming out and telling us that "the computer says the naan were delivered"; this after I'd gone up to the counter to pay for the bread, as long as it would come out on time. Thjs review is not about their food quality but its about horrid customer service attitude of: : I don't care about building my business on loyalty and good customer service, I am doing a favor to the community for providing a meal of their ethinicity. The restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. I arrived at 9:50 and the waitress advised me that since they close at 10:00 I need to place it as a take out. OK not cool but I've heard that happen before. I get a take out menu from the owner/manager on duty. I walk out the the car and get my wife's order and return at 9:55. (still before closing). He's chatting up with a table who places an order of 7 people for about $120 worth of food. I am IN LINE!!!! I get up to the line at 10:03. I give him my order. He looks down at his watch and says... I cant take any more orders since we close at 10:00. I tried to reason with him that we just returned from Disney and we have a toddler that's hungry and it was a very simple order. He only said: "NO! NO MORE ORDERS". I was in line waiting to place an order before he closed. That is at the very least an exception that needs to have been made. Here is where it gets even more appalling: I asked him a direct question: "So you are telling me that you have no problem turning away a paying customer who was here before you closed and in lin. I am not a connesieur of Pakistani dishes plus all of the other American Style stuff did not add to the authenticity. The lights not working in the bathroom added to the Third World feel. WELCOME TO THE DIRTIEST PLACE ON EARTH. My family and I went on a Sunday to grab some lunch and it was sickening. People couldn't be seated because remnants of food from patrons before us had been sitting on the table for up to 15 minutes, leaving people like my family standing around. There were bathroom tissues on the floor, food everywhere, and uncaring employees moving at a GLACIAL PACE to clean up the restaurant to an acceptable level. This can be chalked up to understaffing OR dispassionate management. While it's DIRTY, this place has awesome food. If the restaurant were clean, I'd give it 4 stars. However, the cleanliness is SO bad it deducts 3 stars. It's not worth it if you have to eat in the restaurant to have it. If you're really craving this place, get it to go. read more

A few days ago we went to chat house for the first time in two years. The staff is not wearing a mask. One waiter has the mask on his chin. There is water leaking from the ceiling. We had to move our table because the water was dropping. Bad service. We bought the Nihari, Halim, Fish fry, philly cheese steak, and a bun kabob. The halim was not very good but it passed. The nihari none of our party touched it. It was drenched in oil. The fish fry was decent. The philly cheese steak passed and was tasty and so did the bun Kabab.This was really disgusting. We called the restaurant owner (Mr. Siddiqui) who was extremely rude and declined to speak about the issue and hung up on me. This place is a hidden gem! Were in town visiting from Maryland and told by locals that this was a must try. Perfect street food that didn't make our stomach's hurt afterwards. After standing in line for 10 minutes and had someone go in front of us that wasn't even in line, we finally ordered at 8:30 PM. It is now 9:15 PM and we haven't received our food yet. I don't recommend eating here. They work as if they are short staffed but I've seen 4 different employees return back and forth from the kitchen and serve other patrons. Not as bad as other reviews described. Went Friday night it was packed. The Szechuan beef with fried rice came first and honestly it was enough to feed two of us before the mixed grill even came! It was tons of food and the flavor was DELICIOUS. I'll be back just for this. The fried rice was even very fresh and soft. Not the brittle hard ones you get at Chinese taKe out. Mainly a Pakistani restuarant but very good attempt at their "Little China" subdivision of restaurant. The mixed grill was great as well, very fresh with fresh naan it comes. The service isn't the best, but that's usually how it is at Indian places that aren't upscale. I had to ask the patron to come clean our table, it still had food from previous pEople on the surface, which was gross. Otherwise, I would have given it a five star. But for halal food, if you don't care much about cleanliness, give it a try. Great food, will be back again perhaps. read more

Sadly the food has the potential to be great here if the management/owners knew how to run a restaurant. Our food came out undercooked, took too long to serve and when they agreed to give us a cooked meal, they forgot about our order because the "new" order was never placed in the ticketing system. We left the restaurant without or new ordered food. Hate to write this review cause the workers there seem to work hard and are pleasant. The management/owner has done a very poor job in setting up its restaurant operations. They should visit other well run establishments to see how to set up operations properly. :/ :/ read more

What happened to the quality of this place? I think this Chaat House must be under new management because I don't remember the food here being so bad and so expensive. $7 for chaat, really? The same price as a Chipotle burrito? The chaat used to be around $4-5 dollars. In addition to the price increase, the food has become inedible. We dined in, and the Chaat had large brown pieces that could not be broken with a spoon. I was trying to figure out what it was and then decided if I couldn't identify or break it with a spoon, I shouldn't eat it. The Pani Puri shells were broken and burned and there was no way way to fill them with the chutney water. The order itself was stingy for the price, they gave only 6 (broken) shells with chickpeas and chutney for $7 (lucky seven again for them, not so lucky for us). The meal was a complete disappointment. We tried to give them one more chance and ordered food to go. We ordered Nihari and Haleem, and both dishes were rubbish. They smelled rancid and we had to throw them away. Avoid this place, it's not fit for human consumption. read more

UPDATE 9/17/2017 Today we thought of giving this place a second chance. Bug mistake. Dirty floors that they BLUNTLY refused to clean and asked us to just ignore the bile on the floor. "We will clean at closing time" they said. Don't try asking for a manager because he us that clueless stooge at the register. He actually told the server to ignore us and if needed to tell us that he is too busy to cone to our table. The worst part is he added gratuity to our bill without telling us. It was added to the credit card final bill. What kind of new thievery are they running here? And to add gratuity for a party of 3 is outrageous. Do yourself a favor. Horrible horrible service. I wanted to try despite low reviews because food looked good in pictures. Well, it looks better than it tastes. The tables were dirty, and no one bothered to clear away the dirty dishes on the table even after our food arrived. We had to ask for the basic things such as plates and spoons. There were three of us and the waitress, after we asked for plates, got us 2 plates and one spoon. ONE SPOON!! We were not the only table waiting on basic things. The other tables were complaining as well. If you're lucky enough to have a jug of water, there will be no glasses. I mean, the tables are always set up with the basic essentials before the food arrives. The waiters were uninterested in servicing guests, and acted bored and bothered. In fact they were deliberately avoiding us. I managed to get a hold of one waiter to ask for the tea I was waiting for and he flat out refused to help me, telling me that I should ask another lady instead. Mind you there were more than enough waiters for the small restaurant so there's no excuse for being too busy. The waitress came and went in a rush and despite my attempts to get I attention I couldn't bring her over. One of the patrons on the table next to ours loudly asked where the owner was to complain about the poor service and the quality of food, and the waiter informed them that the owner is hiding. He's more interested in collecting the cash register and doesn't care for the anything else. finally, my husband had to go up to the counter to inquire about our remaining order and thankfully we were served! This place is close to Disney and draws a lot of customers and visitors. A little improvement in customer service can go a long way for them. Food was okay, but the restaurant is filthy, I was there 2 days, first day the service was a bit slow but the food came out, and there wasn't much of a crowd in the house. we were a party of 6 and chose what we wanted went upto the cashier and placed the order and paid upfront got a number and came back to sit on our table, than slowly after 10-15 mins food started to come out. It's casual dining, tables are sticky not cleaned or wiped down, floors were sticky, I could see the boot prints on the floor. But mind you I didn't care because we were hungry, as long as the food was edible, that's all we cared about. Second day we go in again, try new things but in the same price range my bill came out $15 more. My bill was $100 a day before and $114, $15 is nothing but the fact they added that because we were a party of 6. They didn't add that a day before but second day all of a sudden rules had changed. "we charge gratitude for 4+ people" are they for real? for what? you don't give anything to your workers, because the day before, before we were leaving my husband gave the wait staff tip, which they were surprised and happy about. You don't seat us properly, tables are in set of 4 seats, 6 of us sat at 2 different tables both days, you don't come to us and take our order, you don't welcome us when we enter the restaurant. the food isn't great, the service is mediocre, but you want gratitude?!? when we said we are not happy and don't want to pay gratitude, he goes than leave, I want to see you go to another restaurant and see if how they wont charge you gratitude for 6 people. Hey wake up!!! we eat 80% of the time out side during the summer. all the big chains, seafood, italian, even indian/desi food with your type of restaurant ambiance don't charge up front for the food! and charge gratitude on top of that! We visited this place in 2012 on the recommendation of my wife's friend a local in Orlando. We had a lot of fun trying out various Pakistani dishes. Now visiting again in 2019 December was a horrible experience. the food wasn't that great! and the owner had an attitude. We ordered food, which came a little late and the bread was not fully cooked and butter chicken was like tomatoes paste and chicken chunks, with no cream. When complained to owner, he said arrogantly that there are 100 people who ordered the same and they dint complain. We won't be returning to this establishment. read more
