A pleasant lunch surprise! Came here on a whim as I was walking by because I saw the lunch special. Got the chicken wrap special and would TOTALLY recommend it! Pretty good and consistent samosa Chaat is very tasty and a lot of flavors melded together as they top the regular samosa with a gravy and fresh chopped onions garbanzo beans in a delectable sauce. It's pretty darn good and nice size portion. The only thing I don't really love is the regular samosa is very potatoey if that's a word with not much else. I'm accustomed to peas and other things not just potatoes. So for a plain samosa I would order down the road at Kebab King but the Chaat is where it's at here. ;) read more

Excellent! I placed an order through Door Dash and the food was promptly prepared. I ordered the Aloo Tiki and the Paneer Tikka Masala, which comes with an order of basmati rice (or naan). The Aloo Tiki was delicious! The two potato patties served with a side of chutney over a bed of garbanzo beans were surprisingly filling and very fresh tasting and crisp. The paneer tikka masala was flavorful and filling as well. I read a lot of comments that their tikka masala wasn't flavorful or creamy enough but I have to disagree, the sauce was very tasty and not overly creamy or heavy as some other restaurants prepare. I opted for a tikka masala wrap so i could eat it on the road and it was delicious! The portions are generous, my teen ordered the butter chicken and probably could have shared it. 1 star this place used to be really good. I ordered goat curry, matar paneer and chili chicken. The only thing good was the chili chicken. The goat curry was full of cinnamon that's all I tasted. And I only had 2 pieces of goat meat inside all the rest were just bones. The matar paneer was very shocking to me because I get that all the time. It's usually really flavorful and creamy, but today it's literally a whole cup of grease and peas/cheese. Chili chicken tastes like sweet and sour chicken. Wasn't bad but other than that I'm very disappointed. I usually order from Curry Corner but I wanted to try Chaat since it's been awhile, but I seriously regret it and sad I won't be back. I would recommend the Chicken Biryani, Aloo Gobi, and Chicken Vindaloo. All of this dishes are flavorful! The chicken biryani consists of basmati rice, juicy pieces of boneless chicken, and Indian spices, its also served with yogurt. Aloo Gobi consists of cauliflower and potatoes mixed with onions, garlic and Indian spices. Chicken Vindaloo is tangy, (spicy level to your liking), made with vinegar, Indian spices, onions, ginger and garlic with juicy, juicy pieces of chicken! Two stars is a big change from five. However, the food I received yesterday was a HUGE change from the first time I've had this place. I ordered a Chicken Chaat salad with a side of garlic naan and I was very underwhelmed. The salad was more chicken than lettuce and because the chicken was hot my lettuce wilted. In addition, the chicken was VERY DRY and barely seasoned. My naan bread was burned to a point I could not eat it. My sister ordered vegetable pakora and it was over cooked as well as her naan bread. Overall, our food was terrible. I ended up throwing all of my food away. I really liked this spot but I doubt I'll be back after my this experience. It costs too much for them to deliberately burn your food and never tell you or try to take the time to rectify the issue. I didn't know it was burnt until I got home had I seen it when I was there I would have returned it. SMH. read more

My Tandoori chicken sandwich, sans tomato, was HUGE (so much so that I had to take half home)! Tons of deliciously warm chicken, with lettuce and onons, wrapped in a warm soft naan. I also opted for the potato salad side (note: too spicy for me because I'm a wuss; will go with nice cool cucumber side salad next time!). Hubby got the chicken wrap, which was PACKED with chicken, along with cucumber (no tomato for hubby either) and wrapped in naan. Hubby kept commenting the whole time between bites how good his wrap was. So, both of us got an uber-filling lunch for under $20...outstanding! One of the finest places to go to if you want some good, hot, spicy Indian food. We have been patronizing this restaurant for over 7 years so I feel comfortable enough to give them full star ratings. Conveniently located in the Safeway plaza in Natomas with ample parking places. Open 7 days and there are no buffets in this location and no sit down service. You walk straight to the counter and order from the menu/pay and then chillax while they spice up your food. Don't know if the ownership has changed but the chef and the cooking team is always the same troupe which explains why the taste and quality of the food has been almost consistent in the 7 years we have been visiting. Please let them know if you can't handle the spiciness and they will gladly cook it milder otherwise keep a glass of iced water handy. Some of our favorite items to order are Cholle Bhature, Saag Paneer, Butter Chicken, Curry Chixken, Chicken Tikka, Fish Pakora (my Dad loves it). Sometimes I will order a tray of Samosas if we have a potluck at work and the whole tray disappears in thin air within minutes. The staff has always been very friendly, accommodating to our small needs ( with little kids we tweak/customize the menu items and they are more than happy to alter their recipe).
