Ok they tricked me... I was super excited and wanting Indian food, I received my order from door dash and was confused on the sizing of the food so I was like um I paid almost $40 for this! But once I tasted the chicken tikka Masala and the garlic cheese naan and the potato aloo it was like all these different flavors having a party and I am so here for it. So delicious and will be coming back real soon the only thing is one of them were burnt otherwise it would be 5 stars 9/10 recommend

This was a surprise find. We walked by it and figured that we'd give it a shot. We liked the food a lot! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is ok. Nothing great to write home about - typical small indian restaurant ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are nice and service was a little on the slower side. We ordered a samosa chaat and a boneless chicken tikka masala dinner with daal, rice, naan to go. We also got some dessert (kalakand, milk cake). The samosa chaat was excellent and the portion was big. We had actually ordered the dinner to eat in the restaurant but we got full with the chaat, so hubby ended up taking it home. He said the portions were big and the dinner was good. The curry was decent, while the daal was very good. Both the kalakand and milk cake were very good but I don't know if these are made by the restaurant or got from somewhere else. We are planning to make this our usual stop on the way to the airport. Come and try them, they are very good, particularly at chaat!

I really enjoyed Chaat. I've been hearing good things about them for years, and I was a couple doors down at Bingsu and decided to try them for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area is spacious and clean, and you order at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is huge. It took a while to decide what to get. We decided on panipuri and samosa for appetizers (both were good and we loved the spicy chili water that came with panipuri. For our meals we got the aloo saag and tandoori chicken and both were so good! Portions were large enough that we had a big lunch the next day. This was the best Indian food I've had in a long time. Can't wait to return soon.

This is one of my favorite local spots for Indian food. I usually order the Butter Chicken dinner plate, which comes with naan and rice. The Butter Chicken is always rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The naan is consistently warm, soft, and airy, perfect for scooping up every last bit of the buttery sauce. The rice adds a nice balance, and I love combining it all for the perfect bite. Today, I decided to try something different and ordered the Thursday Tandoori Chicken Plate lunch special. It includes 2 legs and 2 or 3 thighs, naan, and your choice of cucumber salad or potato salad. I went with the cucumber salad, which was crisp, refreshing, and nicely seasoned. The Tandoori Chicken was moist, tender, and full of smoky, spiced flavor. And as always, the naan did not disappoint. I would definitely order again if I come on a Thursday, because it's a great deal. I just wish they also had a lunch special for the butter chicken too! Service is quick, the staff is friendly. Whether you're grabbing a quick take out or enjoying a relaxed sit down, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Wanted to try a new place and came in after lunch hours. There was quite a wait as there were a few customer waiting when we got in. We ordered chicken tikka masala, butter lamb with rice and garlic naan. I liked the chicken tikka masala while my husband liked the butter lamb more. The food seemed authentic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and the workers were nice and accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

To show scale so you can see how small Punjabi House Curries-Chicken (dinner size) is.

We tried this restaurant for the first time through delivery and overall had a really good experience. The vegetable pakora was scrumptious--flavorful, crispy and well-seasoned. It was our favorite dish by far. The masala fries were also tasty and nicely spiced, a fun twist on regular fries. The Punjabi House chicken curry was tasty but the portion size was beyond disappointing. It was noticeably small--about half the size expected for the price of $22.46--which made a very poor value even though the taste itself was good. We ordered the dinner size so maybe they accidentally gave us the smaller size? The mango lassi was not a traditional lassi. It tasted more like a thin mango smoothie that had melted--very mango-y, but lacking the creamy, yogurt-based richness you'd expect. We did not receive the samosa chaat--it was missing from the order. The "sides" (i.e. dipping sauces, naan, etc.) were excellent and the portions were mostly generous. Overall, the food was so scrumptious that we literally could not stop eating it and eventually had to force ourselves to.

Absolutely delicious Indian food. Quick and friendly service. This restaurant is order at the counter style. They have a very wide menu with something for everyone! The butter chicken is on the thicker side (as it should be) and the naan is to die for. Their samosas are also a huge portion and come served with chickpeas on the side. Would highly recommend!

Chicken Biryani

Tried the chicken biryani and the chaat take out. Pretty standard. Would recommend. 8/10.

I have been patronizing Chaat Kafe for many years now. It is by far one of the best Indian restaurants in the Natomas Area. The food is always very fresh and authentic. The service is typically the same family staff. I love how they cater to all patronizing customers. Aman is one of their exceptional staff; he is patient, explains the menu very well to non-Indian customers. I saw him first hand service an elderly woman in her eights find the best meal choice and she was well served. He displays over and above customer service, exceeding the norm. That is why I gave my five star review. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is calm, and pleasant during the midday rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tv's are on playing Punjabi music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Always nice to stop in. One of my favorites

Absolutely loved the appetizers. Wasn't really happy with the breads as they were hard. The service was quick and the ambiance was good too.

It's close by and they have a private lot so I had no issues parking. Parking is a big thing in my life when it comes to my turn to drive. I knocked another of his suggestions as parking was questionable there. When we arrived we were able to get the first parking spot. I though the place was going to be empty as we got the prime parking spot. As it turns out there was a party of 8 already seated when we arrived and another person picking up a to go order. A couple more people came for to go orders while we were there. While we were there we weren't joined by any additional diners. It may be because we at so early. We arrived at around 5:15pm. Early for a Warm and Sunny Spring Day. We ordered the Maharani Dinner. It included Samosa, Chan Masala, MatterPaneer, Navratilova Korma, Naan, Rice, Raita, and rice pudding for dessert. It was plenty to share and only $19.99. We also ordered the Lamb Saag Wala with the creamed spinach. He thinks there was a whole pound or more of spinach in that dish. We ordered the Dinner Medium Spice and the Lamb Saag Wala. I think we should have gotten them both medium. They were really good. My favorite dish was the Chana Masala. I've seen some people order this Dinner on there own and them and their companion both get a Dinner, but we feel that is too much food so we share a Dinner and still have some to take home as we always order an additional dish to go with it. If we didn't order an additional dish we would finish the Dinner. The Dinner is such a great deal. Soon as we discovered it we've been ordering it every time. They also have the Maharaja Dinner for $24.95 and that is the non veg variety so it comes with Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kebab, Butter Chicken, ect. Both are good choices. For drinks my husband ordered the Mango Lassie, it came warm, he asked for a glass of ice half way through and poured the rest over ice and it was much better. This would be an even better drink if they blended it with ice.

We dined inside but we did not use their bathrooms. This establishment is counter service but they brought our food to us. We shared the Samosa Chaat, which was delicious and loaded with chutneys, yogurt, and chickpeas. Very enjoyable to eat. My Shahi Paneer was also very tasty with a nice, creamy tomato sauce. However, my mother didn't enjoy her Goat Tikka. She said it was too boney (which is really a common complaint for her so take that as you will.) On another visit, my husband and I ordered chicken wraps. While they were generous with the meat, the wraps were quite salty and over sauced. The condiments completely soaked the vegetable garnishes, which overpowered the flavor. Overall, I think this franchise of Naan Twist is good and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place for good food, fast & friendly service. Between 11AM and 3 PM on weekdays, they have an extensive buffet that looks fantastic. I will have to go back and check it out. I also ended up spilling an entire fountain drink in the front of my vehicle. After getting my food, I went to the minimart next-door and purchased an extra large Coke. Then proceeded to spill the entire thing inside the front of my vehicle. The gentleman, who I believe was the owner of the restaurant came out to help me when he saw what happened. The aroma alone was enough to make us hungry instantly. We went for the buffet, and honestly, it felt like a full-on feast. Every dish had its own bold, authentic flavor nothing tasted rushed or watered down. You can really tell the food is made with care and proper spices, not just thrown together. The highlight of the entire experience? The stuffed mushrooms. Unreal. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and honestly one of the best things I've had at any Indian restaurant. I would go back just for that. The biryanis were rich and fragrant, the curries were creamy and well-balanced, and everything tasted fresh. Service was smooth, and the guy at the register was especially nice and attentive he made us feel welcome right away. The only small thing they offer butter naan with the buffet, but not garlic naan.
