The food here was so good! My boyfriend and I stumbled across this whole in the wall and WOW so happy we did! The food was incredible and I highly recommend their lamb dishes!! The service was good, and they were quite nice, but this isn't the place to stop if you want to get in and out quick. Everything was very clean and they have great music playing!

Butter chicken (take out). It did actually have a decent amount of chicken even though you can't see it in the photo! So delicious!

Stopped in for some takeout butter chicken. I am gluten intolerant and asked the gentleman who helped me if they put any flour in the sauce, just to be safe. He went back to the kitchen and talked to the cook and came back and told me no. My understanding is flour isn't traditionally used in the sauces but was thankful that he confirmed. Just thought I'd mention this for my fellow gluten-sensitive folks. Also, the butter chicken was DELICIOUS! I will be back!

Not with the naysayers - this place is good! The service was fast and friendly, food was tasty, price was fair for the type of cuisine, and the environment was overall pleasant. More about the food: I had the lamb curry, which was spicy (preferred) enough and seasoned well, along with a side of rice. Serving sizes could have been bigger but, again, this is no different than many restaurants alike in the Sac region. I'd go back.

Sweet little spot near Cesar Chavez's park. Spacious indoor seating, great ambiance and incense, and full menu. We ordered "to go" and the food was prepared and delivered very quickly. The vegetable samosas were good, I like the brown sauce. The chai was hot and creamy (I like mine a little sweeter, but that's just my preference!). Would definitely order from here again.

First time to try this place and probably will be my last. There are more new places to try and already have favorite places for Indian food. Ordered the Non Veggie Thali and Dahi Bhalla appetizer and enjoyed them both. I recommend this since you get three dishes (chicken curry, butter chicken, and tandoori chicken) with your meal and biryani and naan. That's why I like thalis. You get to try different dishes. If the average price of a dish is $18, you get more bang for your buck with this. My favorite was the chicken curry. Perfect flavor and spiciness. The butter chicken was on the salty side and wanted more flavoring on the tandoori chicken. Glad I ordered the Dahi Bhalla which are veggie balls/dumplings in yogurt sauce that's sweet and tangy. Drizzled some of the yogurt sauce on the butter chicken and that balanced the saltiness. Food didn't take a long time to come out. Place is clean but a little dim. They are right in the middle of downtown that may explain why their dishes are pricey. Thank you and good luck.

I have been meaning to try this place out because it launched recently. Walked by on Thanksgiving and noticed it was open. Went back home and later in the day I placed an order for pickup on Doordash. They never confirmed the order so I assumed they closed early or forgot to click to accept. No problem, I walked over 15-20 minutes later to find out. They didn't have the order ready, but I mentioned what was in it and they took 5 minutes or so to get it together. Walked back home with a mango lassi in hand that was a nice balance of yogurt and fruit. The chicken tikka masala was solid with some garlic naan. Only complaint in terms of the food is that I got 2 samosas and fries for the vegetarian appetizer sampler which doesn't match up with the menu description. I also didn't receive rice or see a way to add it to the order. After they called me twice and left a voicemail requesting to mark the order as complete but I have no way to do that because they didn't confirm the order on Doordash in the first place. Not going to rank them too harshly on that because I suspect they will get this sort of thing figured out in time. Considering it's a new restaurant and a national holiday I'm pleased with the experience. Thanks for opening up in Downtown!

Dahi bhalla is so tasty ,yogurt is so creamy full of flavor Loved it very delicious

On the way to the Kings game we walked past this little door on this huge dirty street full of homeless people. We decided to go in because it was lit up beautifully. Took a sec to get seated although the place was empty. Big place too. Decent menu. Kinda pricey. Small servings I thought. We eat a lot of Indian food. Service was just ok. Other patrons came in after us. They got better service. Faster and their food came out faster. Maybe fellow countrymen. ifykyk. Food was ok. Way spicy. My husband got the Tiki marsala and I got a random mix platter. No rice came with the food. We didn't know to order it. So we order a rice. It was small so asked for another. He was cool and brought one out giving me a side eye lol. The water was very good. That's what matters to me. Food was mid. Clean place tho as far as I could see.$47.

We were greeted by the sweetest waitress, who promptly took our drink order and then gave us a few minutes to look over the menu without feeling rushed. For appetizers, we chose the Nepali samosas, mushroom pakora, and goat cheese naan--every single one was delicious. I usually order the Chicken Tikka Masala, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the Butter Chicken. I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Paired with the garlic basil naan, it was perfection. A little piece of naan, a small scoop of basmati rice, and a drizzle of that rich, flavorful butter chicken was absolutely chef's kiss. The portions were generous, and I had plenty left over. Now I'm genuinely looking forward to lunch tomorrow so I can relive the experience all over again. If you're looking for incredible Indian and Nepali food in Sacramento, Everest Curry is definitely worth a visit.

The server (I guess...it was a buffet) greeted me warmly, and immediately got my drink order. Water was refilled, no complaints. The paintings were beautiful...and I caught myself looking at them for moments at a time. Now then...I'm working a lot of OT this week, and getting a cold. So, treat myself and help with a cold is two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The butter chicken tasted like lukewarm jarred sweet and sour sauce from a Chinese restaurant...no spice, but nothing resembling any butter chicken I've tried. The chicken curry was...salty...I guess, but not much other flavor. I literally was the first customer...and the samosas were not crispy at all....too soggy. Plate 2 wasn't much better. The goat curry was the most flavorable of anything, but not the best I've had. The tandoori chicken leg I had was borderline undercover. I NEEDED spice today, people ..kill this cold. While some of your patrons are Caucasian, we're American...not British. We like spice. For $24, I expect a buffet of much higher caliber.

The place is small and the tables are too close together. We get seated and oddly they give us these mini water bottles. On the menu they say water bottles are $2. They do not have fountain sodas. Only a can, no ice for $2.50. I asked for water and he brings out a carafe but still no ice. Boo. The little water bottles really cheapen the experience. We order chicken tikka, saag paneer, chicken bryani and garlic naan. NO rice comes with it. It is extra charge. Wait time was average. It was all very tasty. Disappointed that there was only 10 very small pieces of cheese in the saag. Chicken seemed skimpy also. It rates second to my favorite Indian, Bombay Grill but best in Natomas area. They are also the most expensive of all with no frills or extras. You would think for a $70 lunch, they could give you a small bowl of rice or how about some ice with my soda that I cannot get a refill on. We ordered them to-go today and it was not as good as the above visit. Lacked flavor. My Naan was burnt to hell with a giant hole in it. I should have taken a pic but was too hungry to bother. Might be awhile before we return again.
