The food here was so good! My boyfriend and I stumbled across this whole in the wall and WOW so happy we did! The food was incredible and I highly recommend their lamb dishes!! The service was good, and they were quite nice, but this isn't the place to stop if you want to get in and out quick. Everything was very clean and they have great music playing!

Butter chicken (take out). It did actually have a decent amount of chicken even though you can't see it in the photo! So delicious!

Stopped in for some takeout butter chicken. I am gluten intolerant and asked the gentleman who helped me if they put any flour in the sauce, just to be safe. He went back to the kitchen and talked to the cook and came back and told me no. My understanding is flour isn't traditionally used in the sauces but was thankful that he confirmed. Just thought I'd mention this for my fellow gluten-sensitive folks. Also, the butter chicken was DELICIOUS! I will be back!

Sweet little spot near Cesar Chavez's park. Spacious indoor seating, great ambiance and incense, and full menu. We ordered "to go" and the food was prepared and delivered very quickly. The vegetable samosas were good, I like the brown sauce. The chai was hot and creamy (I like mine a little sweeter, but that's just my preference!). Would definitely order from here again.

Not with the naysayers - this place is good! The service was fast and friendly, food was tasty, price was fair for the type of cuisine, and the environment was overall pleasant. More about the food: I had the lamb curry, which was spicy (preferred) enough and seasoned well, along with a side of rice. Serving sizes could have been bigger but, again, this is no different than many restaurants alike in the Sac region. I'd go back.

First time to try this place and probably will be my last. There are more new places to try and already have favorite places for Indian food. Ordered the Non Veggie Thali and Dahi Bhalla appetizer and enjoyed them both. I recommend this since you get three dishes (chicken curry, butter chicken, and tandoori chicken) with your meal and biryani and naan. That's why I like thalis. You get to try different dishes. If the average price of a dish is $18, you get more bang for your buck with this. My favorite was the chicken curry. Perfect flavor and spiciness. The butter chicken was on the salty side and wanted more flavoring on the tandoori chicken. Glad I ordered the Dahi Bhalla which are veggie balls/dumplings in yogurt sauce that's sweet and tangy. Drizzled some of the yogurt sauce on the butter chicken and that balanced the saltiness. Food didn't take a long time to come out. Place is clean but a little dim. They are right in the middle of downtown that may explain why their dishes are pricey. Thank you and good luck.

I have been meaning to try this place out because it launched recently. Walked by on Thanksgiving and noticed it was open. Went back home and later in the day I placed an order for pickup on Doordash. They never confirmed the order so I assumed they closed early or forgot to click to accept. No problem, I walked over 15-20 minutes later to find out. They didn't have the order ready, but I mentioned what was in it and they took 5 minutes or so to get it together. Walked back home with a mango lassi in hand that was a nice balance of yogurt and fruit. The chicken tikka masala was solid with some garlic naan. Only complaint in terms of the food is that I got 2 samosas and fries for the vegetarian appetizer sampler which doesn't match up with the menu description. I also didn't receive rice or see a way to add it to the order. After they called me twice and left a voicemail requesting to mark the order as complete but I have no way to do that because they didn't confirm the order on Doordash in the first place. Not going to rank them too harshly on that because I suspect they will get this sort of thing figured out in time. Considering it's a new restaurant and a national holiday I'm pleased with the experience. Thanks for opening up in Downtown!

Dahi bhalla is so tasty ,yogurt is so creamy full of flavor Loved it very delicious

Amit was a great partner and eased my stress and literally delivered in every way possible. Amit was so professional, warm and responsive to our every need when he fulfilled and delivered our delicious food. The butter chicken disappeared into thin air, the naan was super fresh, soft and warm. The chana and samosa were savory and hit the spot! Even the chai was hot with the best blend of spices! I can't wait to come in and actually sit down and have a dinner with Bombay. Until then, all my gratitude to Amit and the full staff there. See you all soon. PS if you need catering, call now! We were greeted by the sweetest waitress, who promptly took our drink order and then gave us a few minutes to look over the menu without feeling rushed. For appetizers, we chose the Nepali samosas, mushroom pakora, and goat cheese naan--every single one was delicious. I usually order the Chicken Tikka Masala, but this time I decided to switch things up and try the Butter Chicken. I can honestly say I was not disappointed. Paired with the garlic basil naan, it was perfection. A little piece of naan, a small scoop of basmati rice, and a drizzle of that rich, flavorful butter chicken was absolutely chef's kiss. The portions were generous, and I had plenty left over. Now I'm genuinely looking forward to lunch tomorrow so I can relive the experience all over again. If you're looking for incredible Indian and Nepali food in Sacramento, Everest Curry is definitely worth a visit.

So we went for the butter chicken. We got two to go and it came in maybe a 18 oz container. For the price of 17 bucks, you would assume it would come with rice and naan. It did not, it was an additional 7 dollar charge which would have brought this meal to 24! Pricey! The butter chicken was great. Really loved the softness, creaminess mixed with middle eastern spices. For the price point however, I have to rate it lower. feels a little skimpy. remember taquerias with complimentary salsa bar and chips..

The pakoras were good as well and it came with a green sauce that had a good kick to it, however the pakoras did seem a little overcooked, almost like they may have been left in too long. My main critique would be the portion size. For about $20, the paneer came in a pretty small container. Usually, my husband and I can share a dish like that at other restaurants and feel full, but this one didn't quite hit the mark for the price. If you want a bang for your buck, this may not be the spot to go. On a weekday night after work this was a cinch. I confirmed the Veggie Momos were in fact vegan (believe it or not lots of places sadly put dairy in them) and yes they are. Hooray! But why stop there? Our friendly server helped me navigate the other vegan items (there are several) so we also ordered some Veggie Pakora, Began Bartha, and Mushroom Masala to share. No surprise for me, the Veggie Momos were the star of the meal and had a tasty dipping sauce. Everything else was also good and had plenty of favor. I would definitely come back for more.

Chat Bistro is a newer restaurant to me and it had 4.5 stars so it got my attention. I looked at some of the other restaurants and they had less starts on yelp so this was going to be our new favorite. As it turns out I parked right behind the restaurant. The parking lot was busy, but not so much that I couldn't find a close space. I didn't see any disabled parking as I walked to the front of the restaurant. There may have been disabled parking on the other side of the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty cool, even in the summer and it was 97 out at July 9, 2026. My girlfriend wore a short over her tank top which was a great idea. I wish I had brought a light jacket. I was a bit taken back when I entered the restaurant that it wasn't a sit down place. I was hoping for a sit down restaurant. When I arrived one couple was sitting outside in there fenced off seating area. And there was a large party indoors just finishing up and ordering some extra food to go. They had so many empty dishes on their tables. I was happy surprised that there were so many empty tabes. I didn't think ahead with the worry that they would be packed as we were coming at the dinner hour, 5:30pm on a Thursday. We ordered at the front counter by choosing our dishes off the menu overhead. We paid and then they brought us our food and drinks. They didn't give us a number or buzzer. It was really nice. Lychee Shake- Perfect flavor and texture. It was a slush drink that tasted very much like Lychee. I'm a huge Lychee fan and even have fresh Lychees in my fridge so I was very satisfied. $4.99 Iced Rooh-Afza- Not my favorite, it tased like roses. It was the consistency of an iced tea type drink. Not a slush. $3.99 Butter Chicken: Boneless tandoori chicken, simmered in a mild tomato cream sauce infused with cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, and bay leaves. $17.99- good, but not great. It wasn't the favorite Butter Chicken I've ever had, but not bad either. Chicken BIryani: Seasoned basmati rice and chicken served with Riata $15.99 We ordered mild and it had a little spice to it, which was good. The Riata was a good plus to it and took it down to mild. It was good, but there was too much chicken and not enough rice. You sure did get your money's worth with the amount of Chicken they put in it. Naan- Very fresh and came with the Butte Chicken. The best party of dinner was sharing it with a long time friend of mine. The food was just an excuse to get together. Would I go back, sure it wasn't bad and maybe other dishes will be more my thing. The Lychees slush was really good. I usually don't order drinks, but my girlfriend suggested it and I couldn't turn it down.
