I have never had such a bad burrito in my life, the California burrito here was crap. The fries tasted like they were cooked in a microwave and the steak even tasted half cooked. Stopped in here while traveling to San Diego. Excellent service, nice people. Good quality chicken - white meat and some dark meat in the tacos and enchiladas. I also had the refried beans and thought they were good. Kid friendly atmosphere, and the food is lightly spiced so they will like it. read more

Best Mexican food with reasonable prices in Castaic. The servers are very friendly and attentive. Only 2 complaints: the menudo needed a bit more salt & the chile relleno serving size (with the combo meal) was a bit small. Flavorful Mexican food. Taco shop style. Cooked after you order...which is nice. Their salsa is good, too. My sope was a little overdone, but the carne asada and toppings on it were delicious!! Having heard some good comments about this restaurant's foods and being a resident of Castaic, I decided to stop in yesterday for a veggie burrito. I have to say for the money, I have had better ones. It didn't have much taste to it and I was disappointed in its consistency..probably too much rice. I will probably try this place again, but ordering something quite different than the burrito. read more

Food is OK to good. The flavors are good, and it tilts more towards authentic Mexican sensibilities than spicy Tex-Mex that is more mainstream in the US. That could also be a part of why the meat is so dominant proportionately. It's personal preference, but my wife and I prefer the meat to be more part of the ensemble than the major leading role without room for much else. We also like the Tex-Mex style more, so this isn't really the place for us.That said, the quality of the meat and ingredients - including the tortillas - was very good. The ambiance is no frills with a old - but clean - bathroom. The service is happy and kind, but fairly passive. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I'll try a different place as there are several Mexican options in this part of town. That said, I might come back after I make the rounds, depending on how the others fare. read more

Jose was prompt to call me back and offer suggestions on what would travel best, be ready in my short time window (less than an hour), and make everyone happy.
