I honestly don't know why this place was so highly rated. The poor quality live music was way too loud to have a conversation... The waitress could barely even hear our orders. It's alright. Our server kept calling us 'amigos' every 10 seconds which felt pretty forced and inauthentic, but she was nice enough, although slow. We have a group of friends(8 or 10) that have been going to Chagos on Thursday nights for more than a year to support our friend Billy Tarkington, a very talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Over half of the group would always order entrees, and everyone would have cheese dip and drinks over a 2-3 hour period. One lady in our group drinks wine, you know the little bottles of Barefoot that you buy in a 4 pack for about $6. Well, she was charged for 3, refuted that and claimed she only had 2. The waiter and the manager both said she would have to pay for the three bottles. I asked the manager to fix the the problem, but he insisted for her to pay. When I asked him was he willing to lose our groups business over a bottle of wine that cost them around $1.50 AND THEY SELL FOR $4.75, he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. THEY DID NOT CARE ABOUT US, AND THEY WON'T CARE ABOUT YOU! WE WERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS FOR MUCH LONGER THAN A YEAR AND SPENT +/- $250 A WEEK, 13k-15K YEAR. VERY PISSED AND DISSAPOINTED. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE! I was driving to go shopping but hadn't eaten and I started having chest pain. I have heart issues but I thought if I got something to eat because it was well past lunch time that might help. I called my daughter and told her what was happening and she called in 2 tacos for me and paid for it. I got there about 5 minutes later. I waited at the counter and no one came. Knowing I was getting worse by the minute I went to the bar, hoping that if I got some cold water it would help. I was really struggling and it had to be obvious to even a total idiot that I was in distress. I told the guy at the bar that I was having trouble with my heart and could I get a drink of water. He walked away and milled around inside the restaurant. (There were only about 3 tables of folks there). I sat there a while as I slowly went downhill. At this point I just wanted to get my daughters money back. So I went back to the check out counter and asked about the call in order from my daughter and that I wanted to get her money back. He said they didn't have a call in order. I knew I was going down fast at this point and didn't have the strength to continue to talk to him. Still this other person working there wasn't picking up on the fact that I needed help. I asked it I could get a drink (barely able to get that out) and he snapped back at me and said 'WHAT?!?!?" ...with a grimace on his face. I left and went to try to lay down in my car with the air on. I called my daughter to tell her to come get me and barely had the strength to talk. I got off the phone with her and called 911. The 911 operator by now was having trouble understanding me. The heat was so bad I didn't have time to wait for the car to cool, so I had to go back in to Chago's. I went in and collapsed across the 1st booth, still talking to the 911 operator and my feet sticking out of the booth. I told the operator that I didn't have the strength to talk. She asked if there was anyone that could take the phone. I told her no. The sweat was pouring off me and I could see the help glacially moving around. No one ever came up and asked if I needed help, tried to help me, or ever give me a drink, as I had asked for twice in distress and even now at the point of collapse. The 911 woman stayed on the line with me even as I also threw up under the table. Still no one. The ambulance got there, came in with the gurney, and took care of me for some time until they eventually got me out of the booth and onto the gurney. As they are putting me onto the gurney, with most of my vision blurred at this point, I could see one of the workers come up with a glass of water to give to the EMT. The EMT just pushed it away. I know they were both questioning what the hell was going on themselves, the fact that no one was around me trying to help or even offered to assist me until bringing this glass of water. They may have wondered if they were even conscious. If there is no other restaurant to eat at, I will go hungry before I will ever again set foot in this restaurant. What kind of callus people are they? Once I got nitro I began to feel better but it was a scary struggle as these people walked past me over and over not caring. Oh and they owe my daughter her money back because they never gave me my food. read more

Chago's feels more like Cheer's to our family. They know us and they are so nice. Service and food always great. They even took time to let our 7th grade niece practice her Spanish to order. A huge improvement over the last place that was there. Service was slow when we went the first week they were open. They seem to be figuring all that out as it is much better now.
