We tried every restaurant in the area and Azteca is our favorite. Los Corrales is good but inconsistent. El Azteca is always fresh and perfectly cooked. The margaritas are also very good. I order chicken fajitas mostly and the meat is always fresh and very tender. The lunch servings are enormous and much less expensive than others. Miguel, the server, is always busy but takes the time to serve properly.

My blue cheese dressing was better than most I've tasted at this type of restaurant. The potato was huge and was cooked well. The topping, which consisted of bbq sauce, lots of this sliced fried onions and very little pulled pork was pretty good. Both my wife and were disappointed by how little pulled pork there was. It seemed like the fried onions were used to "bulk up" the amount of topping. We'd come back, but we would not order a special dish.

Another plus is that the portions are very large, I've never left Cattlemen's feeling less than satisfied. Usually, Cattlemen's has very good service... not for me unfortunately. I had to wait about 5 to be seated (totally normal) but I was seated and just ignored for a long time, the waiters/waitresses kept getting mixed up on my things (except for Sam, he was great) and it took a while for things I asked for (like a water) to show up. It's totally fine, not a deal-breaker for me but not the usual five star Cattlemen's experience. Inside is great. I don't know why, but I had never seen the gallery, and inside was a handful of artwork, averaging around $150 - $200 per work. The restaurant is clean and comfortable in many ways, and that's really nice to come to after a long day.
