This place needs ventilation very badly. You will walk out of there smelling like the smoke from a busy kitchen. The soda bagel thing is over rated. I liked the airy texture. But I didn't care too much for the flavor. Genuinely not good. And the cream cheese it came with, zero flavor, which was easily remedied by adding my own salt. The ambience and decor was quaintly charming, at first. But the more I looked the more understood that everything was creepy. Like witchcraft creepy.

I have been coming to Seaside my whole life, but somehow I missed when this amazing place showed up! Visited for the first time and zero complaints! It was the waitresses second day and it seems both of us were excited about our find of a great place. Food choices were abundant and everything was fresh! It was quick too! I plan to go back often and soon.

Quiche special served with pineapple. Cute details of matching glass plates & glass.

Super nice time here eating brunch. Staff are kind and fun. The food is all made from scratch, and local! I really enjoyed my Crab Swiss Asparagus Quiche. Affordable pricing and tons of good options to choose from. Blueberry pancakes, self serve coffee, and HUGE biscuits! It's a really cozy spot and I love how some of the stuff around is interactive - the tables are really cool and you can draw with the chalk on them. Lovely view and outside seating options. 11/10

So yummy!!! We came here once before for lunch, it was awesome! This time had breakfast, and again it was delicious. Zoe was our waitress & she was a sweetheart! We had the breakfast bowl & traditional eggs Benedict- TDF!

Chalkboard table and yes, YOU CAN Write on them!

Ladies road trip to the Seaside Oregon coast and while scrolling for food spots, we found Chalkboard Cafe because the biscuits looked AMAZING in the pictures... and they did not disappoint! We bought 2 to save for the next morning with butter and jam, and wow... soft, flaky, buttery deliciousness. We went back on our last day for breakfast and ordered the breakfast bowl with sausage & portabellas -- those mushrooms were SO good! Of course we had to get biscuits & gravy too. And yes... I brought home 3 more biscuits for the road. Definitely recommend!

A little drawing I made on the table. Yes, you can draw on the tables at the chalkboard Café.

This is a friendly little café right along the water. Food is always delicious and inventive. I had a traditional English muffin-and-egg sandwich with a portobello mushroom. My husband had an egg sandwich with an Irish soda bread bagel. He said it was fabulous.

My husband and I escaped Portland for a chilly Monday to the coast. Because my husband loves Philly Cheesesteaks, so this was a must-try. Tucked away off the main drag along the river, this place is a true hidden gem. Even though it was a Monday, it was surprisingly busy, but we were lucky enough to snag a table near the counter (sadly, not a chalkboard table!). My husband ordered his Philly and I opted for the French Dip, and both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The fresh-baked bread is a huge plus. We also both got the macaroni salad for our side. That was quite good too. Next time I'm in Seaside, I simply must swing by to try more of their fresh baked goods. We chatted with the friendly owners and learned they've only been open for a year. I predict a long and successful future for Chalkboard Cafe!

Amazing food, the sweetest couple owns the restaurant, food is all from scratch. Felt like family as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, Highly recommend the philly, with a side of au jus!

The woman behind the bar, may have been the owner, was so kind, caring and attentive. She made conversation with me over my license from Colorado, asked my name and remembered it as I was leaving saying "have a nice day, Nate" Soooo sweet and kind. A true gem of a human. She even had regulars that she said "I told you when we were on that hike that I owe you a drink so this ones on me" freaking precious. Okay now that I'm done praising the owner/bartender. The food was exquisite too. I got a basic cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce. It was cooked well and was enjoyed heavily and quickly haha. The cook even came by to check that I liked it as well. Very warm place with great food. Much enjoyed. The place was clean and kept up well. This was one of the first dive bars I had been to where they had slots and that was a bit of a twist. I didn't roll the dice on them as the only thing I gamble on is once a year and that the horses at the Kentucky derby. Keeps my gambling in line and doesn't upset the in-laws too much. If I visit Seaside OR again, I will absolutely find myself back here for another delicious burger and friendly interaction.

I got the chilaquiles and the only thing I would note is that if you don't like goat cheese probably not for you. The chips are cheesy with goat cheese! It's a small restaurant inside with a few tables outside. When you put your name down with the hostess, she actually calls your phone number to tell you the table is ready! What great service. When it came time to eat, my friend and I ordered the breakfast and lunch special respectively. The lunch special that day was pork adobo sandwich with fries. I happened to ask for ranch on the side and OMG that was the best decision I made that day. Their ranch is one of the best ranches I've ever had. It's packed with dill and it's not too runny. I will be remembering THE RANCH DRESSING from here for a long time!! Osprey is a hidden gem on the coast and I highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area!

WARNING‼‼‼ Now that…read moreI have your attention, let me tell you about this place. I almost thought I teleported to Texas for a second. This smokehouse in the Oregon coast is on to something. Pulled pork, brisket TENDER & JUICY. I can't even describe how I had flashbacks to my time in Texas. I am now in a food coma and on my way to take a 8 hour power nap. If you are ever at Cannon Beach, and do not feel like eating fish and chips, please come here and do your taste buds a favor.

It was my first time having pork rinds freshly made instead of out of a bag, and I'll need to find where I can get this more often!! The Cubano was solid. The bread was soft, the meat was tender, a little dry, and the pickles added a nice bright, acidic bite. The sauce was good too. Unfortunately, the fries were insanely salty. We couldn't eat them at all, which was disappointing since they're almost a $4 upcharge! The restaurant itself is pretty small, so I'd recommend coming when they open. Otherwise, I could see there being a wait. They only have one cook, so the food can take some time as well, but they have signs letting you know upfront, which I appreciated. There was only 1 waiter, but were friendly and attentive throughout.
