The mood at creative nails is always cheerful and helpful to customers. They offer various types of services. So far I have not seen them turn down a client or say they are too busy. I recently requested a pedicure and manicure for both my husband and myself at the Champlain location. My husband had never had either. Our experience was wonderful, with him stating he would definitely return, yay! Kathy, the owner is friendly and bends over backwards to please her customers. If you are looking for good service, clean shop, and friendly staff this is your place to receive all of it. I also recently had my eyebrows waxed and my friend had upper lip and eyebrows waxed. For context, I specifically chose regular polish instead of gel because gel has started to burn and hurt my nails. As an esthetician, I'm also mindful of repeated UV exposure aging the hands, so this was an intentional choice. This appointment was also intentionally scheduled during a specific window so my husband could set up my birthday party while I was there. The rushed service defeated that purpose and ended up being frustrating not just for me, but for the person who thoughtfully arranged it. The space itself was clean, and I appreciated being offered water in a glass goblet with lemon. That part felt thoughtful. Where things went wrong was in the service. They did my manicure and pedicure at the same time without asking, which made the experience uncomfortable and rushed. I would have preferred to relax and enjoy each service separately instead of constantly shifting around. There was also a woman who appeared to be supervising who stood and stared at clients the entire time. It created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere rather than a relaxing one. The biggest issue was the manicure. It was completed in about 40 minutes and felt very rushed despite booking a higher tier service. The polish application was extremely poor. The pedicure technician, Tony, actually had to step in and try to fix the manicure, which I appreciated, but instead of removing the original polish he painted over it. As a result, my nails were thick, uneven, dull, and still sticky 25 minutes later as I was leaving for my birthday event. I paid $110 total. I tipped Tony $20 cash for helping fix the situation and gave Helen $5, which reflects the quality of the manicure I received. I don't mind paying for quality. This simply did not reflect professional-level work, especially for a special occasion.

Adorn was open and had avails, good reviews, and affordable to boot. Each of us got one of each pedicure service - bday girl got the Adorn, mom got the basic, I got the deluxe. All the technicians were so kind, sociable, and their work was excellent. The salon was empty (Super Bowl time! Prime time!!) - which showed us how clean everything was. The receptionist was such a pleasure to chat with, and even helped out the technicians when needed (we had Lynn, Jennifer, and one more! I'm sorry I forgot her name!). I will say this place needs to do little more vacuuming as nail dust was everywhere. They do a lot at this salon. Eyebrows, eyelashes, hair shampoo massage and of course all these pedicure chairs and nail tables. My lady was older with great head of grey hair. She was quick and very savvy with the magnet. I loved the way she filed and shaped my nails. I like the curve. The only way to tip is by cash or Venmo which I don't do. What the receptionist suggested was go to Walgreens (a very short email away) and get some cash back, so I did. Tip: make an appointment or you'll be waiting an hour or so. "…read moreBefore I met Troy, one of my toenails had become "thicker" and ugly looking, to the point of not wearing open toed shoes. Troy took his time, plus he had the perfect tools in on order to make that former embarrassing toenail look normal just like all the others. Yay! Now I can enjoy wearing sandals again. I also took my sweet 94 yr old Mom to have Troy do a manicure and pedicure for her. Troy could tell by her callous that her weak ankles were turning in and causing her to walk on the inside edge of her foot. We were able to get her better supporting shoes. The first time I came, I got a full set of GEL X nails and they were done very well! When I came back for a fill however, one of the nails ended up coming off within 3 days after getting them done. I returned, they fixed it for free, so I figured it was no big deal. I came back to get a different full set eventually, and again, one of the nails popped off on its own within the first 5 days of getting them. When I came back for a third time for the same service, hoping the past two visits were flukes, the same thing happened. My two middle finger nails had fallen off by the second day of getting them done and I went back for the third time to get them fixed. By the very next day after getting them fixed, my pinky nail had fallen off. Walking in to get it fixed for the fourth time overall, and second time with this specific set, my other pinky nail fell off as well. Once I got inside to let them know I needed the same set fixed AGAIN, there were a couple nail techs that seemed visibly annoyed at me for even returning. They asked my friend and I to take a seat and wait, after waiting 15 minutes, I was approached and asked to leave and come back at a time when they weren't as busy. I'm very annoyed that this has become a reoccurring issue, but having judgmental looks and little urgency to fix it from some of the service workers on top of that makes this all way too much of a hassle. The convenience of the location is no longer worth the inconvenience of poor services for me.
