Bad service from the moment I walked inside went up to order the lady at register just ignored me and went about like no one was there when she finally looked at me she just stood there looking at me, no Hi welcome what can I get you , she then did the what with her arms and shoulders like I was an inconvenience. After I ordered , a different women came up to charge me with out acknowledging me she than told me my total which was wrong she was overcharging me by $5 which may not seam a lot but it was to me . I then tell her why is she charging me for when the menu says a different price , she tells me why didn't you tell me what you ordered with attitude, I'm not a confrontational person I don't like to arguing with people at all, I tell her what I ordered she charges me the right amount. Then I wait for 15 minutes for my order , only to get home and find they gave me the something I did not order. Food was not good at all service was way worse! My review is solely based on to-go orders during lunch hours. First time I came by and ordered at the counter. My coworkers had already visited and I was warned that there is usually no wait. I walked out surprised, fast and a very friendly environment to say the least. The ladies know what they are doing here. The only negative is the lack of a menu, which is only on the wall. Food; First visit we went all out. Ordered the Tuna Sandwich, Tostilocos and a Chamango. Tuna Sandwich was huge, I had to share it. Tostilocos, I've always had to ask for the chips on the side (so they don't get soggy), lady asked if it would be ok to put the chips on the side. The size of a SMALL Chamango is sharable.... buy hey, I understand who wants to share, right? So good! Second time around I called in my order. No complaints. I've past this place quite a few times. Today I decided to make a pit stop. I ordered the torta special it came with lomo pork, ham, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, avocado and spicy Mayo. Also ordered a large green juice which was very tasty to wash the torta down with. This torta was a size of a new born very fat and very good. FYI wouldn't be a good idea to eat inside of your truck or if you have a car. It did get messy this is more ideal to sit at a table not on the go. First time trying this place and I loved it! I tried the mangomania, it includes Clamato juice, sorted chips, chacaca, cucumber, jicama, chamoy, lime and chilli. I also tried their turkey torta and my fiancé ordered a torta obesa (it's huge!), it's so big you can literally feed two people with that. Horrible service. I've been going to this place for years because I like the food but the service has always been lacking. I've always ordered sandwiches and always received wheat bread. Today I ordered two sandwiches and an açaí for almost $30. When I got home I saw sourdough bread, we don't eat sourdough bread and was surprised by this order. Never in all the years I've ordered here have I received sourdough bread. One of the sandwiches was plain chicken with lettuce. The lettuce was bad (please see picture). I called upset and asked to be heard to which the lady who answered kept being defensive, talking over me and rude. I asked her if she could let me talk so I could finish explaining the problems of the order, and she said you don't let me talk. I went to Chango Mongo today to get a Torta called The Special. Its a very good sandwich. Probably the best I've had in San Diego. But today I was greeted with the worst customer I've ever had. I noticed the lady behind the counter didn't speak very good English. So I tried my best Spanish which isn't too bad. Instead of being appreciative about my good efforts. She laughed at me. She made fun of me me with her coworker. This went on for 10 to 15 minutes. My friend spoke Spanish so he could understand that they were putting me down. She did as I received my food and walked out the door. Doing her best to humiliate me. All the did was loose customers. Had roles been reversed I'd be called racist. AVOID THIS PLACE - Terrible service and a health risk. They gave a customer a refill and reused the customer's dirty cup and utensils in the process - during a pandemic. Didn't wash their hands afterwards and did not use gloves. They get your order wrong and insist they didn't. Then they tell you to check your receipt, but I was never given a receipt. Asked a customer to confirm what order I had placed... a customer who wasn't even there when I placed my order, which could have lead up to a tense situation. I told them to keep the food anyway citing the lack of sanitary practices mentioned above. The older woman that works there said she didn't care and it didn't matter to them. read more

Very fast service. I was in and out quickly. They have glass up so there's a barrier between the customer and the product. You can get lunch and dessert here. Seems affordable. I got ice cream. My sister kept raving about this concoction called Chango Mania. Think Tostilocos with a variety of chips. I gave in and decided to try it. This place is located in a strip mall and it's very clean. I was surprised by the menu items. It's more like a deli rather than a candy store. They have a good selection of natural juices and sandwiches. I was just there for their Chango Mania. You can add whatever you'd like to it. Chips, fruit nuts and sauces. They serve it in a cup with a spicy tamarind stick. I took it to go and I was surprised how well it held up. I expected it to be a soggy mess. Overall it was rather satisfying. It wasn't spicy and I found it to be a good treat for a warm day. Chango Mango is a new deli/fruteria that just opened in Fiesta Plaza off of Main St. It was such an amazing find!! This is definitely my new go to place for tortas. I had the ham torta and added queso panela, it was excellent! Also added avocado and chipotle sauce, which I highly recommend. The bread is fresh and the ham is tasty! The chipotle sauce has an excellent flavor to it and a nice kick to it. I also tried a scoop of ice cream with chocolate fudge which was also very tasty! My girlfriend ordered a tuna sandwich and also added avocado and chipotle sauce, she loved it! She also had orange juice, which she said was very nice, refreshing, and fresh. We also shared a changolate (chilate), it was good, basically a chocolate drink. Also one thing that was especially nice was how new and clean everything is. The bathroom is especially clean. Overall, I'll be a regular at this place for a long time. Very satisfied and will be back! UPDATE: Just had their ham sandwich with queso panela, I loved it even more than the torta! The rude dirty blonde server doesn't wear gloves when she's adding toppings with her bare hands, after grabbing and touching utensils and cookware throughout the kitchen. Gross. I try almost everything in the menu and everything is prepared fresh , my husband loves the chango mango and the turkey sandwich and I love the tamales and the fruit salad. They make fresh water every day and the ladies and the gentlemen are very cordial and attentive. You might find weird but I pay a lot of attention on the bathroom and their bathroom is always very clean and that tells me a lot about the place.
